When we checked into our original room, there was a very strong mold, mildew smell and cigarette smell. The bathroom was also in an unacceptable and unsanitary condition, with dark staining around the fixtures and tile, dirty grout, rust, and corrosion. The most disturbing issue was the presence of cockroaches. We found cockroaches in the bathroom, and while my husband was eating at the table, a cockroach crawled directly onto his plate. I have attached photographs showing the cockroach on the plate, the cockroach in the bathroom, and the condition of the bathroom. I reported the situation to the hotel manager while we were still staying at the property. The manager moved us to another room and credited one night. I appreciate that he addressed the immediate problem, but I do not believe a one-night credit is sufficient for such serious sanitation and pest-control issues. We paid for a clean, safe, and sanitary hotel room, and that is not what we received.

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ Overall, our stay was okay. The biggest positive was the location,it was very close to the beach, which made it easy to enjoy our trip. The room we stayed in had been remodeled, was clean and updated, and since we were on the first floor, we had a small patio instead of a balcony, which was a nice feature. However, I was very disappointed that both hot tubs were out of service. That was the main reason I chose this hotel, so it was frustrating to arrive and find neither one was available. I also noticed the room did not have a microwave, even though the hotel advertisement listed one as an amenity. The complimentary breakfast was very basic. It was enough to grab something quick, but don’t expect anything special. Overall, the location and remodeled room were nice, but the unavailable hot tubs and missing room amenities made the stay less enjoyable than I had hoped.
