So fhis is our 2nd stay at this hotel. For the price its nice. We got the king suite again and the room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Room was quiet. Didnt hear people in the hallways or above us (first floor) we were facing the pool and you could hear people at the pool but it was faint and to be expected. Lots of parking. Now for the bad...talk about the security. The back door by fhe exercise room was NEVER shut or locked and it seemed like every single time we went thru it transients were hanging around you go through the door and walk allit to the gate for the pool. The gate also didnt shut all of the way and anyone could go in there. The first time we wenf to check it out a lady was there with her 2 dogs running loose and she looked homeless. Now about the pool... the area was clean and they do a good job with that. But my husband works on pools and even i could tell something wasnt right jusf by looking at it. The spa was foggy and had a green tint to it the pool wasn't clear and the water felt slimly when we dipped our toes in. He decided to test the water a d the PH was way too high in both the pool and the spa and the chlorine didnt even register on the test there was so little in there. Honestly with the gate being broken and not closing and the water quality being that bad that pool needs to be shut down. When all is said and done for the price and the lack of perks i would much rafher pay the extra $30 a night up the road

Front desk staff were all incredibly kind and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. The space has clearly been redecorated so the gray and silver furniture with red pillows and red accent walls were classy. We loved the decor! And…The price was good for us! Unfortunately… The hotel is a whole is pretty rundown outside of things being newly decorated. We wish they had made it clear that if you want a pool towel, you must go to the front desk on the way to the pool. All the doors lock behind you around the pool, so after you’re done and have no towel, you have to walk dripping wet all the way around the building and go back into the front to get back in.There are a lot of anti-theft policies… All of the dumbbells had been stolen out of the fitness room. Most annoying was when we asked for late checkout they told us that we would be charged $25 an hour! We left on time.

The staff was very nice & friendly. The pool was nice but the hot tub was barely warm and could have been a little cleaner. It was breezy so i understand all the leafy debris. They definitely need larger pool towels.

Besides location, we booked this hotel because it advertised a restaurant on the property, Upon check in and asking about the restaurant, the front desk said it had been closed for many months. Our room and hotel in general is very shabby and worn patched wall paper, tears in carpet, worn bedding (burn hole in duvet), tub faucet not installed correctly…so much needs to be done to update this place. Location for our stay was about the only this good. Front desk staff were polite.

Room was clean , there were NO bugs , it was quiet. staff was so friendly and helpful and professional. I didn’t like that there is no breakfast, the hot tub was cold and the gym bathroom was dirty and smelled aweful.

Front desk is alright. I got some napkins and some guy thought I was stealing something. I called to let them know I just took napkins and he said they are going to do an inventory check to make sure I didn’t steal anything ? My room was clean but had like a musty smell , the tv is so old the carpet is dirty and I seen multiple cockroaches in the bathroom. I also called about that and the front desk guy Robert said “ well this was pretty much built on cockroach land , the wifi does not reach the 3rd floor at all. I got moved to a room supposedly closer to the wifi but still could not barely get any signal. The only thing this place is good for is when you ask for towels

Our last day we woke up to bugs in the bed looks like little mini cockroaches. Also, my son went to take a shower and a cockroach came out of the drain. It ran out of the shower and into the bedroom under the bed when I went to tell the front desk, the lady looked at me as if how dare I say something and just said I am so sorry and that was it.

There were cockroaches infestation and property management was notified but did not do anything. My wife and I had to close our luggages and toss away all food to avoid other critters. Also, other reviews indicate bed bugs so we sprayed down the bed with bed bugs sprays. Room also smells so we bought Febreeze to clear it. Highly HIGHLY recommend to stay elsewhere but if you do, stay on 2nd floor, even if you have to walk far to the last room. Worst than some hostels I've stayed at 3rd world countries, but we in USA...

A/C didn't work particularly well. A/C or something else on/near the exterior wall made loud popping noises through the night, causing some issues with my ability to sleep. Bad comfort average. Overall the room was fine, and the location was great. Front desk very courteous.

Overall I would recommend staying elsewhere. Staff just don’t seem to care all that much or does everything as minimally as possible. Housekeeping only came by once in our 5 night stay. Rooms are decent sized, at least the deluxe suite was, and beds fairly comfortable but everything is dated. Whole property needs updating. Pool was very dirty and hot tub was broken. Might work for a night or 2 but it’s tough to stay longer.

Andrew helped us secure an additional room last minute when our daughter's hotel fell through. He went above and beyond to ensure our need were met. Star was friendly and hospitable. She remembered us the next day and asked about our excursion to the beach. The staff made the stay worthwhile. The pool was nice.The rooms were clean and comfortable.

We never got our room! Booked and paid for but due to technical issues they refused to provide me and several others with rooms and would not work with service to provide rooms! Expedia took over and proved us a beautiful room at neighboring hotel. Staff was rude and unhelpful only made excuses and refused to call management for assistance!

Ive stayed at several properties locally to this hotel, and let me tell you. Nothing like la hacienda. This hotel is immaculate, no smells, the staff everyone at the front desk is awesome. They dont mind when my room key is deactivated, they check me in and out quickly, they are clear about the parking lot and having your tag on. There are snacks for purchase. This is my first South San Jose choice for a hotel.

Terrible check in service, waited way too long for my room key at the front desk. I had already checked in online but apparently that does nothing to streamline the process. I had to do it all over in person, the front desk clerk was alone and unable to help.. There was a line of people and no rush to accommodate anyone, very disappointing.

We stayed at La Hacienda for a couple of days while we visited Calibunga Water Park and the family loved it. It was our second visit to San Jose and by far this hotel was our place of choice. The place was quiet, clean and felt much safer than other hotels in the San Jose area. The parking lot and all of its trees provided great shade for vehicles as well as visitors. Not to mention the designated smoking area away from the hotel entrance that still provided sitting under the shade of the trees for those who partake. The only one downside that we encountered was that we had to go all the way around the property and use the main entrance again if we used the pool or jacuzzi.

The location was great easy to get to from the freeway. I was there for a kids soccer tournament and one of the reasons I chose this place was due to the breakfast on site. When we got there and I inquired about I was told the restaurant was shutdown. The room was ok, some areas like the night stand had dried up something that was a bit gross but the rest of the room looked clean. Beds were decent and we had feee parking. Overall for a one night stay and the price it was good.

Can't say i liked anything! Ive stay hear in the past, when under other ownership and it was quite nice. Looking at pictures and reading amenities were deceiving. The pool and hot tub were closed. The restaurant and bar closed. No breakfast of any kind available, not even coffee service. Room coffee terrible. Don't plan to ever stay there again.

There was no signage very hard to find, waited in line long time to ask if the desk might knw where our hotel was located, map showed it on the property. No restaurant, no breakfast, no walkable restaurants. Just an old wore out Wyndam.
