The property is at the edge of downtown. There are several motels next to it. It isn’t a very safe area. However, the property itself is well-maintained. The hotel also has little outlet and restaurants. The fitness center is has various equipment.

Overall, the property and staff were very nice. However, when we first checked into our room, we found an empty beer can and the pillows/curtains had stains on them. I informed the front desk, and they promptly moved us to a new room. The new room also had an empty water bottle, but the rest of the room seemed cleaner so I decided to stay in that room. Despite that initial hiccup, it was a pleasant stay the property was clean and well maintained.

I had high hopes, being that this was a Holiday Inn chain. We arrived in the evening time, and the property was sketchy. There were homeless everywhere; nothing kept them from entering the property (there was a security guard, but he couldn't be everywhere at once; there was also broken glass in the parking lot and parking was $15.00 per night ). We had booked a non-smoking room, and before entering our assigned room, the hallways smelled so bad my daughter started coughing up a storm. Once we entered the room, it wasn't any better. I could not believe how terrible it was. I called room service, and they apologized and reassigned us a room. It was so run down and had a smell to it. Not a cigarette smell, just an unpleasant odor. The tile along the tub was falling off. I brought Lysol and Clorox wipes to disinfect everything. I booked this stay for two nights and only stood one. That's how bad it was. I would not recommend for families.

I checked into my room. I had to use the restroom so I turned on the light and it started flickering. I always check the bed as soon as I get in the room. I pulled the bed sheets back and there were two wet stains on the bed. I call the front desk to let them know. They offered to change my room. I get to the new room and this time the television does not work. The sink is linking water. Water is on the floor. I go down to the front desk and tell them the issues. The experience was horrible and I would not stay here again.

As far as value for money this is a terrific place to stay. In fact it was a step above. The rooms were quite large, comfortable and clean. The amenities were good, with a nice pool and fitness center. The restaurant served very nice food and the breakfast was excellent. There was a convenient, small 24hr self service shop. If there is one thing that didn’t meet standards it was the awful quality of the toilet paper. Bring your own!! Otherwise everything was great.

For the price, Holiday Inn is a great stay. Rooms are not tiny, the restaurant offers good items and service, breakfast is available if wanted (a little pricey), parking is easy ($15 per night), location is good. Only thing I would say is the room need to be redone. There are older and quite unattractive. But still in fair shape.

Every time a door closes to one of the neighboring rooms in the hallway you can hear it loud and clear in your room. This kept me up late at night and early in the morning. The heating and air-conditioning control is programmed so that you cannot leave the fan on all the time. This means that it’s very quiet in the room when the air conditioner goes off, and then suddenly becomes very loud when it comes back on. This also kept me up at night.

If you are anything like me, that don’t wanna spend too much money but also don’t want anything rinky dink then this place will be just fine. There’s a lot of good places to eat in the area. I just think the rooms are a little out dated. The AC blew a whisper of air & the water took over 30mins to get hot. If those are big factors for you then I think you should definitely reconsider staying somewhere else.

I think their front desk staff is trained to automatically be condescending and rude whenever you ask more than one question. Customer service was ridiculous. There was probably one lady at the front desk who had the patience to answer more than 2 questions but at this point my bar was low. It’s like they had much more important things to do than to assist their customers like ma’am don’t you work front desk for a reason? Where is the customer service? Even though the property and everything else was good. The front desk customer service makes me never want to come back here again. Their beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Other than that, never coming back again to bother these ladies!

The property was taken care of well enough. Service at the front desk was poor. The woman who checked me in was not polite at all. Also, I was charged $15 for parking and did not see that on the website when I booked the room. Since when did you start charging for parking? Shouldn't that be included with the fee? Also, the door that goes to the bathroom was broken so we couldn't shut it. Overall, not a very good experience and I probably won't stay at this hotel again.

Night auditor was rude, disrespectful, and lied to my face. She lied about being fully booked (which they clearly weren't), so I decided to book online. I marched back into the lobby after I made my reservation online and had a little chat with the night auditor but she immediatly got extremly defensive as I walked in and called security. At this point I'm simply astonished. Due to the fact I'm against violence I decided to walk out. That was the first bad experience... now unto the next bad experience which was almost as bad. Turns out the front desk agents are more or less rude as F*** and will give you hell for asking to check-in early (it was 1:30pm and check-in is at 3pm). Despite being upset from my experience with the night auditor, I was civil with the agent checking me in in spite of her bad attitude. She then told me she only charged me 25 dollars for early check-in but lo and behold according to my bank statement she charged me 50. So now, I understand the agent was just incompetent. Finally, I called and spoke to a "manager" (something like that) to inquire about getting my money back. Guess what? Another bad experience wherein she's twisted my words and hung up on me. Next step? I will go in person to speak to the GM and I'm bringing my lawyer for a lawsuit.

Pros: The hotel is close to the airport, and easy access to the freeway. The hotel has a key card entry and a large fence around it, so it feels safer. There is plenty of parking. Cons: It is directly across from the lightrail station, so you hear the ding-ding of the trains at early and late hours. The fence around the property seems secure, but anyone can drive or walk in the entry as there is no secure entrance. You also pay $15 a day to park at the hotel, and there is no reason for that. This hotel has zero warm and welcoming aspect to it. Don't count on any coffee kiosk in the lobby, or warm cookies in a container. The breakfast buffet, which is the same level of food as a lower end hotel free buffet, costs $18 dollars plus tax and of course they have a spot for a tip. A tip for the nasty food you put on your own plate. You know, cereal in a tube, 2 flavors of yogurt, and under ripe fruit, cold eggs, and soggy bacon. You get the drift. They should just add a couple bucks to the room rate and make it a complimentary buffet. My room was old looking but appeared to be clean. I stayed for 4 days and was notified that there is only housekeeping upon request. My overall opinion of this hotel is that they are only interested in providing the bare minimum. It's not horrible, but it wasn't anything to rave about either.

This is a nice urban property, so expect to pay premium overnight parking rates, but daytime parking appears to be free for events and such. The lobby area is exceptionally comfortable and interesting with a welcoming ambiance. Included/optional breakfast buffet is excellent - well stocked and maintained with good options and super nice staff on hand making it all go right. Ask if they have any kids' coupons. 😉 Definitely recommended!

I can’t rate the service or breakfast because we did not use either. Service is upon request, and breakfast was too expensive. When I booked the hotel I was under the impression that we would have free breakfast and free parking. However, we had to pay for parking and breakfast like I said was not free. The hotel room had a unique smell- kind of old, musky smelling, and at one point it smelled like burnt popcorn. The room was clean, the bed was actually more comfortable than a 5 star resort we recently stayed at. HA! The employees were all friendly. The location was good for what we needed.

The breakfast was way Overpriced for the type of food offered. Most hotels offer that same quality of food included. Double beds??? I travel often world wide, when I get a room offering two beds, they are queen size. I had to get a second room! Holiday Inn is one of two hotels I seek when I travel. The lack of USB ports in the room gets a ZERO rating!

I was there for two nights. The day I arrived it was around 7pm so went to the room and slept. The next day I was looking forward to using the pool and it was roped off for painting for the whole day on the only day of my visit (I left the following morning). SUPER UNHAPPY about not being able to use the pool! Also strange that the hotel provides free coffee in the room but you're not able to fill a cup with coffee in the cafe area downstairs.
