Super 8 by Wyndham San Jose

⭐ Very Disappointing Experience — Cleanliness & Pest Issue Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this Super 8 by Wyndham San Jose based on my experience. I checked into my room on August 24, 2026, and within approximately five minutes of entering, I pulled back the bedding to inspect the room and noticed stains on the sheets. I then saw a live roach crawling up the bedroom door, which I recorded on video at approximately 11:30 p.m. I immediately reported the problem to the front desk and left the property without staying the night. I did not lay on or sleep in the bed—I only pulled the sheets back to inspect the bedding. What made the experience even more frustrating was how my complaint was handled afterward. The manager MARIA initially told me she needed to inspect the room to determine whether it was clean before authorizing a refund. Later, I was told I wouldn’t receive a refund because I had supposedly “used” or laid on the bed, which was not true. Thankfully, after escalating the matter, Hotels.com ultimately issued me a full refund. Finding a live roach and stained bedding within minutes of checking in was concerning enough, but the way my complaint was handled made the experience worse. I have video documentation of what I encountered. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and addresses both the cleanliness/pest-control issues and how legitimate guest complaints are handled.

Zero stars if it was possible. When we arrived the room smelt heavily of cat pee and sewer. Even if that’s not what it was that was the stench. Mattress and sheet stained. Mattress look like blood stained on it. Floor hadn’t been swept. Debris from deteriorating walls in the corners and even in bathroom. Shower had to be washed so we could even use it. Which if we hadn’t needed to we wouldn’t have done. Did not use their towels because they looked stained and dirty. Only two towels and one washcloth anyway. There’s far too much to try to describe the condition of this room. We had to cover the areas we had to sit on just to feel like we could. The only reason we did not leave this place is because we simply needed a place to sit that was not in the car and too exhausted to try and find another motel. Obviously we didn’t get any actual rest at all. I am very seriously wondering why this place is open and allowed to pass any health code alone. Unless it can in no way be avoided do not stay at this motel.

Uncomfortable beds, no breakfast as advertised, dirty walkways, run-down. Do not stay here. The only good thing was dog friendly and close to the highway.

Great stay! Wonderful staff.

Not clean. Noisy at night outside the balcony. Indicate to customers to bring their soap and necessities for daily used.
