Nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit einige Junkies unterwegs, Polizei war auch vor Ort wegen einem streitendem Paar. Pool leider geschlossen wegen Chlorproblemen. Hier gabs leider keine Info vorher. Hätte in der Begrüßungsmail erwähnt werden können. Lage zum Strand nur wenige Gehminuten. Badtür klemmt und kann nicht geschlossen werden. Frühstück ok, man hat was im Magen( Kaffee könnte stärker sein) Im Allgemeinen ok für 1-3 Nächte.

Property was adequate for our needs and the free breakfast is a bonus.. This hotel is 3 blocks from the boardwalk and an easy walk. It’s no frills with a small pool. They don’t have enough parking on site so you might have to park on the street or the back alley.

Front desk staff was friendly and it was easy to check-in. Parking was easy as well, our room was clean a bit small but doable. The only thing that we were disappointed about was the pool which was not open and we were looking forward to spending sometime enjoying the pool. But overall our stay was great!

Very close to the beach and boardwalk which is why we chose it. VERY loud street noise and fireworks right behind the hotel. The pool is cold and so small they should take it out and add parking which is tight. The ice maker was not working. The breakfast is decent and the fridge in the room works well. The workers were nice. We chose it for location which is perfect.

Nice comfy hotel with free breakfast and walking distance to the boardwalk. Small breakfast area and small pool but the location makes it all worth it. Parking can be tuff because of the small lot but not having to pay for parking at the boardwalk is worth it by far!

Location is perfect!!! Only thing that was bad is parking! If you can’t find parking in the lot they have extra in the alley way which was kind of sketchy. But besides that everything was great!!

I enjoyed my stay! Very clean room and staff was very friendly and even let us check in early! Only downside was the parking and if you fail to get a spot you have to park in a alleyway behind.However, if you get a spot, its in a very walkable spot! 15 minutes away from downtown walking distance & 3 mins from boardwalk! Overall great, enjoyed it.

We found hairs on the bed that were on the sheets and pillows, sand/dirt between the sheets, and the water in the tub wouldn't drain. The manager/front desk guy said he’d change our room but never did. The parking situation is terrible as well with very sparse areas to park. Thankfully we only stayed for one night. Never again!!

Pleasant stay. Location was great as it was an easy walk to the boardwalk. My kids had a great time at the boardwalk. Breakfast was very good. Simple but had everything we needed. Room was clean and spacious. Enjoyed our 1 night stay.

BED BUGS! Where do we start? We checked in late at 1am and went straight to sleep. My husband felt something crawling in the night but he just brushed it off since he was very tired, he thought it was mosquitos. In the morning, while cleaning up, we found a bug crawling on our bed. As we went out we saw the housekeeping lady and reported the bug. She came in, looked at it and went to go call the manager/owner. The manager comes, looks at it, puts it on his finger and claims its not a bed bug because they fumigate every week for bed bugs, he got the bug and smashed it with his fingers. He was nice through the whole ordeal. Offered to put our linen and clothing in the dryer for our own peace of mind. While we were waiting for our belongings from the dryer, I googled pictures of bed bugs and looked exactly like what we had found in our room. Just before leaving my husband went back in the room and found another BED BUG! We notified the housekeeper again and the manager came in and retrieved the bed bug and apologized and he flushed it down the toilet. He was very apologetic and didn't deny it was a bed bug the second time. He said he was going to redline the room for 4-5 days and put in a 350 degree heater and claimed that that would kill the bed bugs. As for us, its been a nightmare trying to take all necessary precautions to not bring bed bugs home. Carpet looked filthy and very very old!

You can’t beat the location of this property with an easy walk to the boardwalk that’s why you are paying the big bucks! Place is old and it’s definitely showing it! Bed are comfy but my husband got a bunch of bedbugs bites from the bed he slept on!, yikes!

Very old property in a noisy area . The beds we’re not the most comfortable, but overall the motel was clean and in a great location if you’re looking to be close to the boardwalk. Good for the price.

If it fits your budget, then it's worthwhile. It should be renamed the "Compact Inn" because literally everything about it from the parking lot and parking spaces out back, to the teeny-tiny pool, to the room... it's all squished into very compact spaces. The room was clean, everything worked and we slept well, but there's not very much walking room, especially if you've got more than 2-3 people. Parking. If you arrive late for check-in, you're most likely getting a crap parking spot and could find yourself double stacked or in the tiny (very compact as well; tight turn), sketchy alley out back. You can walk just about anywhere, so park and remain parked there until you depart. The office was supposed to open and be ready for breakfast at 7am, but it was not (and many places in SC close early and open later). Again, If it fits your budget, then it's worthwhile. Unless it's a romantic trip, then choose wisely.

This was a fantastic location. The staff was nice and the morning breakfast options were good. Only flaw for us was the window had shutters and no curtains so with the outside hall lights our room didn’t get very dark at night. Not a deal breaker for us. It still was pretty reasonable. We Would love to stay here again.

In the heart of Santa Cruz by boardwalk. Limited areas to eat, you have to walk, cycle, drive. Property is old and front desk open @ 7:30a, closes @ 9pm so no support after that on a Thurs night. Had some spring breakers at hotel so noisy at night when they got back from bar @ 3am. Managers try to maintain hotel but it’s used, several things out of order. Very basic. Room seemed clean, AC fan was noisy. Not worth more than $100/night.

I thought the location was wonderful and pretty clean inside and out, the parking is okay, could be better but in general pretty good. My problem was the terrible service I had. I was using the restroom and all the lights in power turned off, about 15 minutes but we had to get ready to leave and take showers so I went to the front office to ask and kindly said hi my power in the room is not working? And the worker immediately said “YEAH I KNOW I got a call saying it’ll be back on at 12” (which is AFTER I had to leave btw) and so after she so quickly responded harshly without even an apology for the inconvenience, I started asking for any sort of solution! And she was like “well open the windows” For one, I’m in my own private room, why would I want strangers to be able to see me, PLUS I needed to take a shower…. There’s no windows in the bathroom is there?? So I asked for a partial refund and she refused repeatedly and said “well I would have to talk to my manager about that but I can’t do that” and I said okay yeah let me talk to them!! And she wouldn’t let me do that either.. while we were still talking, the power went back on so I dropped it but I couldn’t believe how insanely rude she was from the start! And she said over and over again “it’s not my problem” yes it is your problem… I’m not paying $200 to sit in the dark and not be able to shower or do my makeup! I was so exhausted with such the terrible interaction I had with the worker

Front desk staff rude. Our rooms were not cleaned properly. Also in the middle of the night my Tesla recorded someone trying to break into my car and did capture him opening someone else’s vehicle and stealing. I was also charged extra for a towel t used after going to the beach and they considered it damaged. This stay was not satisfactory.

Staff very courteous and accommodating, rooms were very clean. Good location. Everything we needed for an overnight stay in Santa Cruz. Walking distance to the KP Arena and downtown bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. Not a fancy place but if you want a nice clean convenient place to stay near the Boardwalk and isn’t $300 a night then this is it.

This place is wonderful. My family was on a road trip for spring break and this was a perfect stop. The proximity to the boardwalk is even closer than i realized when i booked it, but still it was quiet and felt safe. I slept very, very well. Room was clean and cute. The staff were very kind and really patient with me. I'm hard of hearing and have to ask people to repeat themselves a lot which is awkward but they didn't seem to mind. I made a mistake with my booking and they graciously helped me fix it. The breakfast was fantastic! I was very grateful for coffee and so many options. The waffle maker was a hit with my kids We loved Santa Cruz and will be back to stay here!

We booked this hotel a month in advance and confirmed on the day of the reservation that we would be staying in the hotel. When we arrived they didn’t have a room for us because “too many people booked” the night before our reservation. The customer service was terrible they tried to move us to a smaller, run down hotel a couple more miles away from the beach.We payed $300 for this hotel and the hotel “down the street” was going for $150 day of. Be careful booking this hotel around holidays or busy weekends.

The hotel was conveniently located a couple minutes walk to the boardwalk. We had arrived early and was able to park in the parking lot while we went to the beach. Everyone was extremely nice. Parking is a little tight.

We have been coming to Comfort Inn Beach Boardwalk for years. Its the only place we will stay. Friendly helpful staff. Close to the pier & boardwalk. We were here fir the Chiki Cook-Off, see you soon for Santa at the Boardwalk!!

Location is perfect!!! Only thing that was bad is parking! If you can’t find parking in the lot they have extra in the alley way which was kind of sketchy. But besides that everything was great!!

We stayed only one night and it was great! I like that the shower pressure was great and that shower stayed hot! Plenty of room to walk around. Breakfast was hot waffles you make yourself, boiled eggs, and sausage, cold cereal and hot cereal packets. Juice, coffee and tea and bananas. I would definitely choose this place again. Oh forgot to mention the Boardwalk is within walking distance

The managers/owners(?) are welcoming and accommodating. The property is not new but they keep it clean and maintained. The continental breakfast is pretty expanded even with waffles! We have stayed here twice and plan to request this hotel in the future.

The room was clean. The property is in a convenient location and parking is free, but the parking spaces are cramped, and this is where the "good" features end. There is clearly not enough parking to accommodate a car per room. The grounds of the facility are kept nice, but the facility itself is old and it shows everywhere. The "Free" breakfast was a joke. Most [but not all] items were present but sparingly and not all fresh. When items ran out you had to ask the desk staff for more, at which time they would put out a limited restock. Breakfast meat (there was only sausage) was frozen & needed to be heated in the microwave. Waffle & syrup dispensers ran dry, and the juice dispenser ran out as well.

when I reached the hotel, I booked a room for two queen beds. They gave me a room with one queen bed. They said they had no other but then they said if I come up with $100 cash but give me a suite for the two nights with two queen beds so I did then they said they couldn’t do that that they had another one with one bed I tried calling Hotels.com and you guys said you could not help me. I tried to get my money back to go elsewhere. I’m very dissatisfied in both of you guys.
