Super 8 by Wyndham Rainsville

There are many lodging options in Rainsville. We were there for meetings and wanted to be close. The check-in was easy. Our room was clean and comfortable, though it was obviously an older building. Disappointed that pool was closed and gym only had two machines - one of them broken. Overall our stay was comfortable and the price was draw. Rainsville is a nice little town and close to Fort Payne.

We stayed one night. Staff was friendly and helpful. We did have to change rooms, but that was just because the smoke detector was chirping when we got there. This is a budget hotel, so this review takes that into consideration, for the cost we were happy with the accommodations. The furnishings were dated, but everything was clean and maintained and the room smelled fine (which is definitely not always the case and can make all the difference in the world). There is an outside pool which we didn't use, but it looked nice. The location was convenient for us, the staff was friendly, they accepted our dog (with a pet fee), and we slept comfortably for the night.

Breakfast was fine. Beds were very comfortable and we had good nights sleep. Parking was very convenient and well lighted.

As before it was a nice friendly hotel. It is a small pool , you can relax but not really swim. It's a great size for young children.

I liked it because it was quiet with plenty of parking,walking distance to eating establishments or less than a mile to drive to different restaurants.The only thing that we didn't like was it smelled a little like smoke

Nice, clean, and staff is friendly. There is a cart to haul bags on if you need it. Also, a nice continental breakfast is set up with really good coffee. It was a comfortable place to come back to in the evening.

The room was nasty. There was blood on the curtains and wall. The carpet was filthy and the room smelled horrible.

My rooms had dead bugs on the floor, busted lamps and burns on the sheets and used bandages on side of mirror and used vapes in the room and used flossers on top of the mirror.

The room was OK. Bathroom was clean, but the lamp bases had not been wiped in a long time. The hallway smelled of smoke and my room smelled of urine. I wiped everything down with a sanitizing wipe which was black with grime afterwards.

Was in Rainsville for a dog show. I was on my own and felt completely safe. The hotel was clean and tidy. The staff were above excellent. Welcomed me every time i walked in the door and asked if i needed anything. My room was clean, bathroom was clean. I would recommend to anyone and would stay again.

Dead bugs stuck on wall above desk. Black mold around tub. Multiple stains on carpet. Deadbolt screws unattached from door. Light above tub blinking. Apparent previous attempt to repair stop behind bathroom door handle - unsuccessful.

The room WAS spotless! The staff, especially the cleaning staff, was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were happy with our stay. The coffee was always full. It is one of the best Super 8's I have EVER stayed in!

The TV did not work. The pillows on the bed were not full-size pillows. Never seen bed pillows that small The carpet and bathroom floor were dirty. The air conditioner did not remove the humidity from the room. The covering for holder for the facial tissues fell off when I tried to pull a tissue out. There were dead bugs along that wall When I was sitting on the toilet the last morning, I saw a baby roach crawl into a hole at the base of the shower. The paint/wallpaper was peeling off of the walls in multiple places in the bathroom. There was a large hole in the wall right beside the shower. The staff did not seem very eager to help guests. On the Expedia website, it said the hotel had a snack bar/deli and room service. Neither of which is true. The only good thing I can say about the hotel room is that the mattresses were very good. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and as a matter of fact, I would not recommend any Super 8 hotel. In the future, because of this experience, I will never use a Super 8 or a Wyndham hotel of any kind!!! Expedia needs to do a better job verifying the information listed on their website since customers are relying on them to verify the information in the listings. I did take photos of some of the problems.

I rarely write reviews but this one deserved one. We booked 2 rooms. One room was dirty with something on the floor and a roach crawled on one of the bags in the short time we were there. We were given a new room (they were not apologetic and swore there was nothing wrong with the first room). Other room was cleaner but we did have a roach encounter in our second room the morning we were checking out. Also, there were only 3 towels for a double queen and when asked for another towel, lady at the front desk was excessively rude. I will gladly pay more to stay somewhere else next time I'm in town,

The room was disgusting! Mold all over, stains all over the carpet, sticky lamps and table tops, filthy bathtub, and bathroom. The hotel door didn't close unless you flipped the latch and it smelled musty and moldy. I will not recommend it and will never stay there again.

Our room and the whole hotel lookes clean and smelled good. It was quiet and i slept great.

The refrigerator in room 204 didn't work

I would stay again Bed was comfortable We had micro wave and fridge Breakfast was just ok wish they had peanut butter for the bagel Good price and very quiet

The only thing that was a disappointment is the TV had lost the first 25 channels which was a channel that I was hoping to watch a football game on while I was resting for the next day. But other than that everything was fine.

The room was nice. Beds comfortable. Only shortcoming was only one small bar of soap to wash with or shower with.

The property is about what you expect for a motel. Unfortunately our non-smoking room reeked of smoke. The tv didn’t work, the shower head was little more than a drizzle, and the bathroom sink was broken. During the night there were multiple rooms having parties past 3am and many people propping open autolocking doors (safety issue) and blocking entryways. We will not be returning next year when we need to be in town.

We stay here a couple nights a month and have never had a bad experience. They staff is great and it is clean. We only had an issue 1 time and it was because, we didn't get the room we booked. But compared places we stayed at that pretty good.

How dirty it was the very rude old man that checked me in couldn’t find my reservation. Gave me a kind king bed not handicap yelled at me said that what I asked for. Charged me 35.00 for putting us into a two bed room not handicap and very dirty. The toilet set was broken . No one cleaned up after the dogs out the back door it was disguising . I’m from thi area and it was a good location for me but I will never stay there again. The girls that worked the front desk was very nice one change me to the right room the second day when I got a change to talk to her. We should never been charged extra money the continental breakfast was a joke to be advertised.

This is a great hotel with amazing staff. It is in a good location for food or relaxation. We had one little issue and 2 staff members quickly resolved it. I will definitely stay here again!

A great hotel to stay when you're in the area. Again clean, excellent staff.

The lobby was filthy, I had to wait on the clerk for maybe 10 minutes to come to the desk so I could check in. When he did return, he was very unprofessional and sloppy in his appearance. I know we're all struggling to find people that want to work...but this was not what a hotel company wants in representation or first impressions.

It was a good place for us just overnight stay. Staff great even with a lobby full of athletes. When no more rooms available, manager helped find another motel that i thought was great. We had a reservation so the wait was tolerable. The breakfast was good with many choices.

They told me they didn't have my reservation and tried to charge me more for another room even though I had a confirmation number and and itinerary number. I feel like they were lying to get more money out of me.

This was awesome stay and the staff were so helpful and polite. Love the location because it was in middle of all the places I needed to be. Thank you for amazing hospitality!

Nice hotel just out of the main city. Quiet and felt secure.

This hotel is a little off the interstate but well worth the few extra minutes to get there. Miss Lou is an excellent manager who helps maintain and manage this immaculate facility. If you are headed to Fort Payne, I highly recommend this hotel.

This property is located just off Highway 35 near central Rainsville. I found the location to be quiet and safe. The staff were courteous. I had a pleasant overnight stay.

It was a good and convenient spot for the money

This was my first time staying at this property but I will return. I travel through this area several times per year. It is a few miles from Fort Payne but it is worth the drive.

Easy accessible

Very good breakfast. Hardboiled eggs, waffles, 6 miles from route 59 and Fort Payne where shopping and restaurants were available. Quiet and clean.

They had a very nice contenital breakfast and the coffee was good.

The place was very clean, there was a very good continental breakfast with very good rich coffee, and the ladies up front were very friendly and helpful.

The rooms and common areas were clean and resonably maintained. My only recommendation would be giving more attention to the breakfast area as a number of items were out, such as juices, milk, and bread.

Not bad for a cheap place to stay. Staff was nice. Could it have been cleaner? Yes. But it was a safe, decent place to stay for a low price. Breakfast was also better than advertised (waffle maker, cereals, fruit, boiled eggs, toast & bagels, etc.)

The property is older and needs renovations. There was used shampoo bottle in the tub and the tub was badly stained. Breakfast was very sad. There were a couple of pieces of fruit, a container to boil eggs but no eggs. No juice only coffee. The only thing they did have was bagels and cream cheese. The beds were comfortable though.

As soon as you get off the elevator, the hall smells like the smoking area - the bathroom had a sour smell like old piss - the food was nothing but a waffle maker and 3 bagels - no coffee in the pot and one bottle of chocolate milk that was sour - boy that left a bad taste in my mouth - the lady working the afternoon was rude - but the TV and the ac worked and the bed slept good and they're plenty of places to eat around here - and I got done what I needed to do - hopefully I won't need to come back here.
