We loved the Waves spa. Most hotel spas seem to be made as an afterthought, but the spa here was spacious, great treatments on offer and the relaxation room is a nice touch to allow you to really stay in that relaxation mood a little while longer opposed to just being kicked out into the bright lights and noise.

Lovely birthday weekend, confortable rooms ,comfortably bed and good kings size, service good and staff very friendly, spa facility were good all round jacuzzi was not on at full capacity since last time we was there but still nice ,pool warm and sauna and steam rooms was good,relaxing and enjoyable.food was good and service was excellent. Breakfast was ample and everything you would need and nice touch with the gluten free area in breakfast room own toaster, makes a difference to have thease touches.

Extremely disappointing stay. The spa was nothing like advertised. No proper seating, just cold wet concrete blocks. We booked a package that included a relaxation room, only to be told on arrival it was closed due to "lack of staff," with no prior notice or mention online. We left the spa after an hour because there was nowhere to sit and relax. The dinner was also misleading. It was sold as a 3-course meal, but in reality it was just a £45pp credit, which may or may not cover 3 courses depending on what you order. Worst of all, the fire alarm went off at 10pm while we were in bed. We were told it would be resolved in 5 minutes, but it ended up going off on and off for nearly an hour. What was supposed to be a relaxing weekend turned into stress and frustration. Would not recommend based on this experience.

Lovely overnight stay whilst touring around Colne Valley locations. Our room was newly refurbished and immaculate. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Spa facilities are fantastic. Definitely recommend staying here, and would return.

The shower room proved unusable as it flooded - evidenced by bottom third of door and ‘lip’ constructed to prevent flood entering main room. Windows filthy (from building work ) and unpleasant scaffolding which was intrusive & ugly. No view!! Bar staff untrained - unaware what ‘brandy & dry ginger ‘ was! Didn’t bother with meal as loss of confidence . Breakfast however was very good. High expectations let down by awful room.

We always stay here when we visit The Harry Potter Studios. The staff are brilliant and friendly. The breakfast is superb in every way. The cleanliness is on point and the leisure activities (mainly the pool for my 6yr old) are a little tired looking (changing rooms); but overall are great.

We had a lovely stay. The hotel was really nice so the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The only problem was the room. Lots of mould and condensation on the windows. That’s the only thing that let the place down.

It’s a little tired in quite a few areas but the staff are lovely, the place is clean and the bed is comfortable. Swimming pool is a good temperature which is oddly uncommon (they’re usually bloody freezing!). Shower in room is so good I struggled to come out of it!!

Lovely massage and spa usgaecslifhrly ruined by the state of the female changing rooms with a distinct smell of urine..we have stayed multiple times at this property but this was the worst time re state of changing rooms for female. We told the front of house staff but they said that it was being refurbished in August which isn’t any reason for this to the state of things now with no effort to try and rectify the state or smell.

The hotel was nice however the facilities were far too busy to be used by the guests and Our room 245 smelt like sewage which as times was unbearable. There as no option to have dinner as this again was full. We did have a massage which was very nice .

This was my second and last time in this hotel. The first room didn’t have hot water and after the reception gave me another room, the bathtub plug didn’t work. When asking for someone to help with the bathtub plug, the reception registered the request, however no one ever came to see the issue. Having purchased the room in this hotel specifically because of bathtub access, I unfortunately did not get the value I expected.

Checkin was fine - room was clean and the shower was nice. Staff seemed friendly. The view out the window was one of what I now think is some kind of function hall with an alley lined with bins. It was a bit weird but never mind, didn’t book for the view. We went out to a restaurant to return to a wedding in full swing - looked awesome! There was no real indication that this would be any issue - it was close to silent in the lobby. As we got closer to our room - the sub bass from the wedding literally shook the fittings. The constant thud of a kick rattled pretty much throughout the room. Thinking “They must know this happens” we figured it would probably quieten down, left it to around 11:30 and called Reception. Guy confirms this is going on till 1am. I got no sleep - the hotel 100% knows these rooms can be impacted by the functions, just have to look on trip advisor. The hotel offered me 50% off another stay with them - I want a partial refund, I doubt I’ll see it or the £50 damage deposit they take (again look on trip advisor) Breakfast was tasty and the spa and pool were quite nice but it was in no way a relaxing stay, avoid if there likely to be a function, I guess?

Parking plenty Check in - fine - but £50?! And then held for 5 days Room - what a panoramic view of their new building site. It’s also a super small room. Our neighbours chatted till 2am - and you could almost make out most of what they were saying. I asked to be moved and was told that for an EXTRA £30 I could be given a better room without a construction site view. Perhaps advertise the room view!!?? Spa - mrs had a great massage. Me less so. Pool steam sauna etc - good Wifi - average to slow

It was a really big room! Which was great as a family. Plenty of room to move around cases. Downside there werent any drawers for clothes just a shelf in the wardrobe. But the cleaning team were amazing and they replenished the water bottles everyday which was great with the hot weather The buffet breakfast was great! Plenty of food and again staff were lovely Parking was good, and you can park on the tight as you enter, just drive up to the barrier…as the staff said “park wherever theres a marked space” 😊 just dont forget to register yourself as a guest and the number of noghts when you arrive

The hotel room was a real let down, the Aircon made a horrible noise, the bath tub had rust on the side, for a premium room it was tiny, we had to squeeze between the bed and the table. Everything else was fantastic, the spa facility and staff are amazing very nice and friendly.

Excellent stay at this hotel. Some of the friendliest staff we've encountered this year who went out of their way to make sure everything was OK and acknowledge you as they saw you in the hotel. During our two day stay, we noticed a number of cleaning and maintenance activities taking place which goes to show the hotel is being looked after and the staff are trying to present this in the best possible light. Great breakfast as well and whilst the pool is open to health club visitors, we didn't feel out of place taking our children swimming before we left. Well done to the team there.

When we booked the room I asked if we could have a late checkout, I was told to inform reception on the morning we had to checkout as it depended on availability. Which didn’t make sense. The let down was the service. We tried to ring hotel reception from the room but the phone was not working so we tried ringing from our mobile a number of times but no one picked up after many many attempts. This resulted in us not able to have a late check out as we wanted. They don’t answer their phone which was big inconvenience .

Great hotel, stayed over for a wedding. Conveniently located just off the M40. Great spa, jacuzzi and pool. Good clean rooms, staff are friendly and went above and beyond. Only thing being close to a motorway, not much in terms of dining around the hotel.

Stayed for 5 nights with partner and 2 young children. Room was clean, had 2 double beds, free mini bar and lovely bathroom. The only negative thing with the room, was lack of storage. No coat hooks, no drawers. There was only a wardrobe with a few hangers and 2 bedside cabinets (would be perfect for shorter stays) Breakfast staff were very friendly with outstanding service. Plenty of fresh food and drinks. Spa was lovely, clean, warm with plenty of clean towels. Good location, big free car park. 5 mins drive to Gerrard Cross Station and 20 minute train to London. Legoland 30 minute drive Harry potter studios 30 minute drive I would definitely recommend this hotel and can't wait to return

Lovely hotel with great facilities in the Spa and Restaurant. Room was lovely. Just had to watch tou didnt trip on the trailing curtain when walking around the end of the bed as it was a tight space. Limited towel hanging space in the bathroom. Especially when trying to be environmentally friendly and not have fresh towels but you want your towel to dry between showers. Staff in general polite and friendly. Breakfast had a great selection, would have been nice to have teapot options so you could brew to your own strength rather than the servers coming around with the general pot. Food in Restaurant was very nice. Spa and gym facilities very good. Used all of these during our stay.

Considering how many weddings were going on over the weekend that I stayed, I was amazed how quiet it was and how well I was looked after. The staff were really helpful and outwardly friendly and the breakfast was incredibly good. I also used the pool and spa and enjoyed that.

I was not made aware of extensive works happening and put in a room next to the building site. Staff were very friendly and helpful moving me to a quieter room to work. Reception took a full paymet on arrival despite teh fact I had already paid online so I am awaiting the release of teh pre-authorisation; almost £400! First evening there was no chicken available on teh menu and when I asked I was told it wasnt popular so they were removing it from menu when they got new printed. Ordered an alternative of meatballs which quite frankly were just balls of mush liek babyfood. It was so bad I had a sandwich the following day but even that was not as the menu said, with egg mayo instead of standard mayonaise as stated; that being said it was a good sandwich. In the evening I ordered just sticky toffe pudding but Tiramisu arrived, when pudding came as ordered it didnt have the ice cream. All in all the food was dreadful of an evening which let down the whole stay when you are there working and not being a driver to remote to walk out for dinner. I wouldnt stay again.
