Lined the building and grounds, and the walk to Brockenhurst was around 15 minutes. Lined the facilities, though we didn’t see a gym there. Not so good was that the outside pool was taken over by children and wasn’t really somewhere that adults could swim properly in.

The staff were amazing, every single person we interacted with. The hotel was lovely, although the room was a little dated. We also found 2 x head hairs on the bedsheet. Pillows quite hard / lumpy. The spa was really nice and the staff there were great. The pools, both inside and out were NOT heated despite the website / booking saying they would be and the staff at check in advised us. Overall a lovely stay but a few little things would have meant a 5 star review rather than the 4 star I am giving it.

A lovely hotel in the beautiful New Forest. Dog friendly and seemed very popular. Decorated nicely and some modern fabric choices on furnishings. Relaxed completely in the pool and sauna and felt invigorated by the hot tub. Would stay again if I could afford it, but it is a little pricey for my budget.

The weekend was all about the spa, and when we arrived the spa was having refurbish so there was noisy drilling going on and treatments had to be moved to a bedroom in some circumstances. The spa is really tired and the toilets and showers weren't working. All of this was communicated by signage at the venue but nothing was mentioned on booking. I rang up to ask about spa use and it wasn't mentioned then either. As I was booking specifically for a relaxing spa weekend, I would have chosen somewhere else had I know they had renovation work ongoing until April. The food was lovely and the staff were great. The superior room was nice, but superior isn't nescafe sachets and uht milk unfortunately.

I would recommend this place. Great location. Very easy to get to places nearby by bike or walking. Very friendly staff. Amazing kids room with varieties of games for all ages.

Arrival - good. Simone looked after us well and we managed to check in early. Afternoon Tea - good. Honestly, for me I would prefer to be asked whether I wished to dial up the savoury or the sweet as this offering was too sweet for me especially the chocolate ganache Bedroom - ok. Bed linen had black mark on sheet. Bed frame had wear marks, shower glass had water marks, shower fixture was loose. We were in Room 3 - the noise from upstairs gave the impression there was a baby elephant stamping above us - not conducive to a relaxed environment. Breakfast- good. Fair selection on offer - surprised to hear Capuccino was a supplement, but ok. Bar - good. Enjoyed the music and the bar staff were helpful and sat in the tent and used heaters Pool - good. Changing facilities good too. Parking - good. No issue finding a space on site. Checkout - I do not recall going to a hotel that had a 10:30 am checkout time especially on a Sunday morning.

Quite disappointed by this stay. The position of th hotel is lovely but the hotel itself has many issues. Extraction fan going 24 hours. Spoke to reception on 4 occasions but it was turned off over night only once. I gave up in the end as I was getting no support from staff. Superior room was poor. Bathroom not very clean Products in bathroom had no branding and looked cheap in brown containers. No idea what it was. Pillows hard No fridge No safe For the price I would expect better Only one menu although advertising 2 restaurants. Some staff good some a little disinterested. 3 billing errors in 3 transactions

The restaurant was excellent all the staff were nicely dress and very efficient, pricing was reasonable for this star hotel. Our room was lovely and clean with excellent bedding and towels. The spa is well worth a visit one of the best we have tried in recent months and the staff 1st class. The hotel itself is lovely with great facilities. The outdoor pool is wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room we stayed in was shabby. On check out we spoke to the manager about the damaged wallpaper, the crack in the sink, cracks in the bathroom tiles and the low water pressure. He told us that the room was on the list for refurbishment but they still charged £220 (or near enough) for the room which I think is unacceptable especially as their website says ‘high quality’. We had already paid on arrival so the manager said he couldn’t refund us anything. Quite disappointed as the hotel is in a great location with lovely facilities.

The hotel is beautiful and it has great access to beautiful walks into the New Forest. Good was delicious. The facilities are great and staff tremendously friendly. We brought our dog and it was a great weekend getaway. Only downside was that our room was too hot, even if we didn’t have the heating on and had the windows open… the weather outside was actually cold-ish (7 degrees during the night) and still inside was very warm…

Our room was clean and comfortable, only issues were lack of power points near the bed (for charging phones, using laptops, etc),bed side lamps would be more convenient for comfortable lighting, and also the bed seemed to be only standard size double when most these days are king size. However I must thank the staff for their help and consideration as I became quite ill overnight on our stay, they were very patient while my wife looked after me and organised our room for another night.

We were made to feel grateful for being fed 3 times despite the high price! Not friendly and welcoming and room small and dated but great location. Better value for money options exist.

We arrived in a heatwave and were given a room I didn’t feel comfortable in. The receptionist worked hard and found us a much bigger room with more windows to open. She also suppled us with an extra large fan which kept us cool at night. All the staff were extremely, friendly and efficient.

Lovely stay. Nice ambiance. Busy due to Easter weekend with lots of lovely dogs however service was brilliant with very friendly staff. Food delicious. Room was adequate but not a great view - a wall so that was a shame - I wonder how rooms are allocated? Bathroom was fine but very small. Thank you for a lovely stay.
