This 'hotel' is nothing but a glorified bed place. It was clean and comfortable but does not provide food or drink. The nearest places are about 200yds away in the service area. OK if you like burgers or fried chicken. You can buy a discounted breakfast voucher from the 'hotel' for use in the service area and that's it. Go there if you only want to sleep but not eat or drink.

Unexpectedly had to pay extra money at the check-in desk for parking. No mention of this when I booked it via Hotels.com. People booking directly via the website get parking free. So, if I’d booked directly via Days Inn I would have paid less than the Hotels.com price. This is a bit of a scam, Hotels.com should be more transparent.

Just what you need for an overnight stop or a base for local visiting. We were surprised to find we now have to pay a £5 parking fee as we had not booked directly with Days Inn, which was an unwelcome surprise

Staff are luvly,grest location too but be warned unless you book direct with the hotel you are now charged £5 a nite parking and considering the car park is full of potholes you feel pretty ripped off but does anyone bother resding these coments from the hotel management?

Pillow cases appeared dirty with some black marks or smudges, carpet looked dingy and dirty, neighborhood was off highway so not great but a convenient location for travelers I supposed. The front desk staff on arrival was very friendly and accomodating however.

As always the room and linens where spotless. The room, spotless, the staff absolutely lovely. Always so welcoming and friendly. The only surprise was that this year i had to pay £5 for parking! A little disappointing seeing as the car park is within the hotel grounds?

Starting at reception..as ALWAYS the duty staff receptionist was a gem! So friendly and welcoming. I love the staff there The rooms and linens are always spotless . The only surprise now is the £5 parking, I'm not delighted about that.

Hotel was good for a quick rest as was travelling down to England but the corridors need there carpets updating the had the smell of strong urine which had tried to be disguised with lynx Africa deodorant which was difficult to breathe until you go in your room

Good value budget accommodation. Rooms were large, comfortable, clean. Staff were helpful, free onsite parking with motorway services closeby. Only downside was terrible damp smell in corridor but was not present in room thankfully. Its not the ritz but does the needful and would use again.

The room is exactly what you might expect its functional and clean . There was no traffic noise but if you can get a room away from the car park do it ,late arrivals and early leavers woke me. On arrival i was told there was a £20 charge for my dog this hadnt been mentioned before though they knew i was bringing one and £5 to park the car !!!

I have stayed at this property before with no problem , Room 21 This stay , I was in Room 14 which is further away from reception and could get no interent !! Checked out after only 2 hours and found a hotel with a decent strong signal ..... a waste of £76 !!

It was quiet, clean, housekeeping were so helpful and were amazing. My son didnt like the single bed as he said it was too hard for him to sleep on, we tried it out and it was as if you were laying on wood, matress had no comfort at all. Apon leaving we mentioned the lack of comfort to the reception who replied that the single bed was just for kids.

The room was clean and the location was convenient. However, the Wi-Fi is terrible and they charge extra for parking. Breakfast is provided by a separate company across the parking lot. It was not good. The cook was abrupt and seemed to resent our vouchers.

Reception staff, rude especially over the phone, paid almost £100 for our stay. We checked in, unpacked and went back out, when we returned we discovered that we had dirty towels, one of the pillows had blood on it which the hotel are trying to blame us for, even tho on the pictures you can clearly see it's under the pillow case so definitely not our blood, the cot we were provided with for our son was also broken, my son could have trapped his fingers in it. Staff are not interested in the issues and refuse a refund. Also had guests outside smoking weed and the corridor down to our room stunk of it.

Used as an overnight stay going north. Staff very friendly and helpful. When husband mentioned my mobility problem, they were helpful and let us delay check out The lady on the desk also advised me that if I was going to visit Gretna or any Days Inn to phone ahead and they would allocate me a walk in shower. Only a brief overnight stay but made to feel a valued customer.

We had a two night stopover on our way up to Scotland. Gretna village was easy to get to driving. We also went to Lockerbie on a day trip which wasn’t to far by car. The staff were very helpful and friendly and our room was very comfortable and clean. Would stay here again on our next trip back to Scotland.

Absolutely hellish experience. Firstly upon getting to my room, the bathroom was filthy. Ok. It’ll do for 1 night. After an 8 hour drive and another 8 hours to follow the next day, this “Inn” being my rest stop, woken at 4.45am by the fire alarm going off. Staff absolutely clueless and the site was total chaos. No gathering at fire assembly point, just people wandering aimlessly around a car park half naked with one staff member walking around with a sheet of paper asking for room numbers. Asked what’s going on and was told waiting for the fire brigade. Is there a fire? No. I gave up after 30 minutes of chaos and left to start my trip at 5.30am. Some rest stop. Sun Inns? NEVER again.

Hotel was very clean, warm and tidy, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Breakfast was in the services which was accessible - only grumble is that the junior breakfast comes with a hot drink free (but only tea or coffee!!) and the only cold drink included was water. We had to pay over £2.50 for an orange juice which seems ridiculous and were advised by breakfast staff that juice was no longer offered free to hotel guests with the junior breakfast. Not sure whose children will be drinking tea or coffee with their breakfast !! For information only - we picked this hotel as attending a wedding at Gretna Green and on paper it’s a great location and minutes away from the chapels and other hotels but be aware - little to no options for taxis to and from this hotel. Very busy and fast unlit road without pathways so even though on maps you can walk to Gretna within 20minutes it’s impossible to do. Great hotel but if you’re attending weddings and intend not to drive consider something closer to the centre.

Very convenient O/N stop with a few food options at the services. Building looks a bit worn from the outside but inside room was clean and bed comfy. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. As an earlier review commented on the noise from the lorry park I was a bit concerned when I realised our room was the closest one to it. However, even though I’m a light sleeper there was no noise to be heard, so all good.

Could be better sign posted when you enter the service station car parking area, as the hotel is past this area. Blue badge spaces need remarking and enforcing. Despite two separate people informing reception that 2 vehicles parked without displaying Blue Badges these vehicles remained there overnight.

Good location at services accessible from North and South motorway. Asked for a quiet room and we were given a room overlooking a grassy area. It was January and not very busy. We slept well. Parking was free but need to register car at reception.

One night stop off on the way to the Highlands. The room was clean and quiet, as it was facing away from the motorway. The ladies on reception were great! Ideal for a one nighter. Comfy bed, nice bathroom, the shower was fine. The only downside was the breakfast that was a voucher for the services. It wasnt great food at the 'Good Breakfast'. We would stay again though...thank You!

Welcoming easy access. Breakfast in adjacent service station good. Somethings cost extra eg toast, fruit juice. Accessible room spacious but found bath/shower difficult as had to get over side of bath and grab rail very low down. If you need a walk in shower speak to hotel when booking.
