We had a fine room with good amenities. The staff was very attentive. The in-hotel restaurant was exceptional. They also have a spa in the lower level with an array of services. The location is kind of near nothing and therefore near everything, if that makes sense.

Stayed at Crowne Plaza for 5 nights, room looked the same as the photos. Cleaned every day and bottled water provided as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The bathrobes were ideal as we used the wellness centre. I'd recommend using wellness centre if you have time and book yourself a treatment, we did and it was very relaxing. Staff all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing with small changes every day but enough choice to suit everybody. While Uber was recommended we walked into Porto a couple of times and then used Andante to come back on bus which stops outside door of hotel. The area was quiet around the hotel and we slept really well, comfortable bed and dark curtains. This was our first visit to Porto and we felt it was a safe city to visit. I'd be happy to recommend Crowne Plaza to anyone planning a visit as it added to our enjoyment of holiday. We dined 2 nights at the hotel, again excellent service and good choice on menus and reasonable priced. I liked the section of menu where the Chef recommends a daily dish - Monday to Friday and selected one of those which was really good. I know a lot of hotels no longer have tea/coffee facilites in the room but we really like this so were happy to see it contiued here. Two showers over bath with lots of hot water and good water pressure. Final comment lighting in room good, I like to read in bed and lights ideal for this.

They finally sent a fan to help but the room reminded uncomfortably warm. It was cooler in the hallway but that did not help us. We were unable to get a good nights sleep.

At best, this is a 4-star hotel pretending to be 5-star while delivering 3-star service. At check-in, the bellhop placed our luggage on a cart and disappeared, I had to unload the suitcases from the cart in the lobby. During our 3-night/4-day stay, the snack-bar at the club lounge was only stocked once (Club-access if you are frequent traveler with IHG). Quite disappointing. The chairs in the room are so narrow, my wife couldn't fit in them. Comfort should be form over function, we're not at an art gallery here. The front-desk restaurant recommendations were atrocious rip-offs. Literally the worst (and most expensive) meal we had during our 8-day stay in Portugal was recommended by the front desk (5Ocean restaurant, don't go).

Good location if you like a little walking. Close to great metro station. Restaurant really very good. Breakfast outstanding so much variety with excellent quality ingredients if you’re vegan not so good vegetarian good. The staff in the restaurant consistently helpful pleasant professional and never rushed at breakfast time or dinner. My friend and I enjoyed our stay here and if I come again I would happily stay here now I know how to get around.

Lovely hotel although no where near Porto centre so used Bolt as a taxi every day. It’s really reasonable and efficient. We only ate in the hotel once as it was a disaster. Little choice and poor food served and what was was luke warm. Manager apologised but it was an expensive mistake.
