Great place to stay food was great. It could get a little bit noisy if people were drinking in the courtyard but that’s to be expected and it didn’t go on after closing. Only downside for us is there is no on site parking.

Convenient as it’s in the middle of town, sadly no parking. It’s an ancient property so it’s obviously not going to be over modernised, rather crowded furniture wise.

This hotel seemed short of staff. The breakfast was ok..overall experience seemed cold you just leave your keys at reception which is unmanned. Not sure they appreciated you being there as no interaction really....quite pricey for what you got especially as no car park. You park in the public car park 15 mins walk away, take an umbrella..

Enjoyed my stay. Room was lovely, although quite a few stairs to get to it. Staff were amazing, really welcoming and nothing was an issue. I ate at the restaurant and the team were really accommodating with my allergy. No parking at the hotel, but free car park not far away. Will definitely be back

Stayed in Room 3. Nice big room, good wifi, large TV, excellent shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast is continental and was excellent, fresh pastries, nice fruit salad and good coffee. All staff were super friendly and helpful, used the bar in the evening which was great with a good atmosphere and good food. In a great location. No parking but plenty of parking nearby. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again when in the area.

I liked the garden and the room. The service in the bar was a bit slow. Considerable more guests than the bar could handle efficiently.

Room was nice and comfortable. If your not planning on having food then everything is good, however on check in we were told not to worry about booking for food, then when coming down we were told we couldn’t get a table. We ended up having some sandwiches from the co op instead…. The restaurant/bar was very rowdy with alot of young locals hanging out there, although we didn’t end up eating in there it did feel like we outsiders at 18yr old birthday party…

Payed for superior double room, but on arrival was allocated basic twin room above noisy bar with window to busy road. Superior double room advised was cosy and romantic with double bed. The room we were given was ok, but we had two single beds clipped together with big lump in middle. It's room that is advertised as basic double on Expedia and easily recognized. What is most disappointing is the disgenuinity of staff presenting this room as superior double especially when it's nothing like the superior double advertised (the identified room we stayed in was 107 sq ft and the one we payed for was 215 sq feet) and you payed premium price. The disinterest to at least refund the difference in price or to even consider the inconvenience caused is concerning. Tetbury is lovely place, car park is not convenient, but within 5 min walking distance. Property is very nice and well maintained. Bathroom was very nice and clean. Breakfast average. Beware when you booking and specify detailed features or desired room (colour of headboard,....) as this is what staff suggested to avoid disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this place due to poor dishonest customer service.

Beautiful room. Clean and nicely presented. The bathroom is large but the bath was a little dirty looking. Marks on the tub. The bed is sooo comfortable, absolutely amazing! Nice big TV. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have really enjoyed my stay and will be back again

Very disappointed when we arrived to find this hotel is actually rooms above a pub. Photos are very deceptive. Blood stain on pillow, unknown stains on duvet, shower that did not drain so had to keep turning it off, very little sleep due to noise during the evening and woken at 7am to builders on a Sunday morning ! Room service pizza was sitting in a pool of grease.

A very nice hotel sadly let down by both the smell and appearance of mould in the bathroom. One wall totally covered. A real let down for a hotel that could be fantastic..

The first thing is it was not clear until an email was sent on day of arrival that there is no on site parking. The reception room smells strongly of an old nursing home that hasn't been cleaned properly. The bed was too soft ( personal choice I know but hubby spent the night in the middle of the bed! ) The room was stiflingly hot with no heating on and the window wouldn not open The bathroom sink was badly cracked and the bath had a 10 pence piece sized chunk out of the enamel and mould on the tiles. I asked for a second larger towel as I have long hair, am still waiting for that! As for breakfast 20 minutes for a cup of earl grey tea that wasn’t earl grey no lemon offered I ad to go to the bar to ask. Nearly 40 minites for breakfast to arrive...yukky tinned mushrooms, tasteless tomato and burnt fried egg...toast for us both was cold and hubby's scrambled egg and salmon was just that..no toast or muffin or anything. Enough butter for half a slice of toast ..all in all not a good experience and although we have family in the area will definitely not be returning.

Very comfortable stay, the room was lovely and clean and very comfortable bed. We didn't love the breakfast unfortunately, the staff were lovely and very helpful at breakfast but the food quality wasn't quite right, could do with less of it but better quality

Overall we had a very satisfactory stay but there are a few issues that could be improved. At check-in the member of staff/manager? initially couldn’t find my booking - causing a minor panic! Room was pleasant and nicely presented. However there was a large crack through one of the window panes which is very dangerous and needs replacing urgently. There was a mouldy patch on the wall in the bathroom and one bedside lamp did not work. Why are these things not checked? When we arrived back late on Friday eve, the man on reception was on the computer and didn’t even look round to acknowledge us, which we thought was rather rude! Is a “good evening” too much to ask for? However the breakfast was delicious and service was excellent. It’s a pain there is no on site parking esp with dropping off bags. Overall we had a good stay but with a few minor improvements, it could have been better!

Nice village hotel and our check in and room were good on the face of it. Other than the guy who checked us in, staff was generally rude. We had booked for breakfast at 08:00 on the first morning, and having travelled the previous day from Asia ended up waking earlier and found ourselves waiting in the breakfast room around 7:10, hoping to be able to request breakfast at 7:30 when it opened. We were greeted by a man in a hurry, brusquely telling us over his shoulder whilst rushing around doing his business that we were way too early for breakfast and we should come back at 7:30. I replied that we didn’t want breakfast there and then-just a conversation whereupon he stopped and listened. Just rude. Later that day we stopped for a pre-dinner drink in the bar, sat down and ordered and then found that the table was sticky with unwashed spillage from beer glasses the previous night. So we moved. Having done so, we got a pile of “attitude” from the short haired blonde lady managing the bar. Sadly the second table was also filthy, so we had to ask her to clean it. We (2) were sitting at a table to seat four. She came along with a wet towel and cleaned (badly) half of it, leaving the remainder sticky and disgusting. Attitude again. Superior entitled and not caring at all about her clients. Finally room service was awful. Pulled the bed straight, no towel change, didn’t wash the teacups properly. This hotel needs to get its act together to stay in business.

The actual room was much smaller than it appeared on Expedia. It was stuffed with a bed, desk, chair and sofa. There was barely any room to walk in the room and no place at all for luggage. The bed was ok to sleep in but the room overlooked the bar/resting and was noisy until about 10:30pm. The bathroom was adequate at best. I couldn’t get a coffee until after 8am. The proximity to hiking and walks was wonderful but there maybe other properties or towns with more to offer.

It’s a nice place in a good location. The room was very spacious and with a sofa also and a very large flat screen TV. The bathroom was also large so a nice room overall. The downside was that the wi fi connection was terrible! It kept dropping in and out. Otherwise it was a good stay.

Good for a short trip. Our room backed onto the pub garden so smelt slightly of smoke when we came back, but the room was nice and clean.

What a great place! Very reasonably priced and very tastefully decorated. The bed was really comfortable and there was plenty of space. Everything was perfect - thanks a mill.

Very quaint, friendly English pub. Rooms were a great size, excellently furnished and comfortable.

We had a Signature double, the room was nicely furnished, but a little smaller than expected. The bathroom was large with a shower over the bath. Kettle, tea, coffee & milk are provided in the room & refreshed daily. Breakfast was disappointing, continental, but the items are not replaced when they run out. We paid £160 per night & personally for a Monday & Tuesday night I thought was pricey. Beds are comfortable.

Very comfy night in a well presented room. Good location. Did not really see the staff other than to check in but they were friendly. Alot of noise from above my room at about 23.00 - lots of banging and voices but it is an old building. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again! The bed is so comfy

Our superior double room had a very very quirky decor but clean and roomy. The bed was set up two stairs which were difficult to negotiate safely at night. The staff were very helpful and polite. The breakfast was a continental buffet - OK. The coffee was lovely! The town is beautiful.

We had a lovely 2 night stay and really enjoyed it. We had a garden courtyard room which was spacious and relaxing. We ate in the bar both evenings and the food was delicious. What really made the stay excellent was the friendly staff, especially Rhys and Will, who couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We would certainly recommend the Ormond.

All the staff were amazing, kind and thoughtful. My husband has Alzheimer’s and they gave him help so kindly that he didn’t realise they were actually helping him. I will definitely return to this hotel

Matt & Jergen were excellent company and made me feel right at hope. Fantastic service and some good laughs. Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting right in the centre of town.

What a fantastic find. Have a customer in the Tetbury area and we were looking for somewhere to stay in close proximity. The Ormond is brilliant. Fantastic rooms, clean, quirky and well furnished. Service was excellent, breakfast even better. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend

The fact that breakfast consisted of a continental breakfast instead of a full English breakfast. We were not informed beforehand and an English breakfast was sitting on each table the evening we had a meal. Porridge was in a box, I had to pour boiling water into it and add milk, toast had to be dealt with yourself, overall very disappointing. I also add that there must be a lot of waste where the continental breakfast was concerned.

Lovely room, clean and cosy. The evening meal in the restaurant was very tasty. Breakfast was less enjoyable unfortunately- staff were blunt and we were told there was a wait for food and we would be better helping ourselves to the continental self service. We said we didn’t mind waiting. However when it came the sausage was cold and looked undercooked so ended up leaving it. I would stay here again but maybe as room only

A great hotel in Tetbury. Perfect for exploring the Cotswolds. Staff were very friendly and treated us well. Rooms were great and had everything we needed. Food was excellent!
