Excellent location in central Bergen with transport, shopping and dining options within a few minutes walk. 10 mins walk to train station, Old Bergen and funicular. 5 mins walk from tram stop which we used to and from the airport. Friendly staff, free hot drinks and water available in reception useful for topping up water bottles etc. Over all a great stay in beautiful Bergen!

Great hotel, nice full breakfast with plenty of tables, very friendly staff and a nice unpretentious lounge with bar up front with complementary coffee and tea. Room was modern with plenty of storage; the bathroom was modern and a good size. Fantastic location, across the street from a five-level enclosed mall for when it rains, and an easy walk down a wide boulevard to the fish market, harbor, and funicular. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed this great & colorful hotel. Check in: fast 2 minutes. Location: excellent on a wide pedestrian street (100 meters from Tram stop Byparken – light train from/to the airport) 300m to the Harbor (restaurants, cruises, fish market) Downstairs there is a McDonald’s, coffee shop and a variety store. Bed & bedding: Very comfortable and soft (North Americans get use to no top sheet and single duvet) Room and bathroom are small (not Japan small) but liveable. The room is well equipped. Breakfast is excellent, it has a bit of everything (bacon, eggs, beans, fruit. cereal, pastries, smoothies) If you can not find something to eat here you are indescribably picky. Shower: plenty of hot water. Towels: they are small and thin (European style) perhaps the only improvement that I will suggest to Thon I was also impressing for the security in the hotel, you need your room card-key to unlock the door by reception that goes to the elevators. So, in a few words if you are looking a good hotel in this price range in Bergen, well you find it

A estadia foi incrível. Funcionário do front desk muito bem treinados e solícitos para resolver qualquer tipo de problema. Na recepção do hotel tem várias mordomias com café, água com gás e até cerveja de graça. Segurança muito boa: só entra para área dos quartos isso sobe no elevador com a chave do quarto. Quarto muito bom, limpo, banheiro bom, cama excelente. Localização excepcional, se não fosse uma disco que tem por perto e toca o som alto até de madrugada. Dá pra ouvir também jovens andando na rua e falando muito alto. Atrapalhou um pouco.

We enjoyed our stay in Bergen, this hotel is conveniently located a few minutes walk to the Skyss light rail which directly goes to the airport and is nicely placed for loads of attractions in Bergen. We used parking up the road at City Park which the hotel have a link with for discounted rates. Staff were always friendly and helpful. I have a restricted diet and there were many gluten free and vegan options I could have at breakfast, including milks and dairy free spread. The rooms are well designed and clean. We did hear some noise from the outside but this did not disturb our sleep (although we were there at a quieter time in November).

Upon arrival tge reception desk was unoccupied and we had to wait 5 minutes for a member of staff to appear, check-in was then OK. Room was good but cleaner was indifferent, our bed was very hadly made, kettle was lefy unplugged and was difficult to plug-in, involving the movement of a large piece of furniture, still not sure why this happened. T-bags and coffee sachets were never replenished over our three night stay. On the plus side, breakfast was good, as was one member of staff, Erlund

Great spot in the downtown of Bergen without it feeling too loud! Great walking distance to everything we wanted. The hotel its self was clean, easy to find, and friendly staff. Parking is at lot a few blocks down the street.

This was a great property and our room was perfect. It was a little warm but we were able to keep the windows open and use the fan that was provided. The hotel breakfast buffet was delicious! We loved the design of the hotel and the interiors. The hallways needed to be vacuumed. They were dirty the entire time we were there. Besides that, it was a great experience and the hotel was in a great location.

We had booked 2 nights here but unfortunately could stay just 1 night as our flight got delayed. The rooms are tiny with not much space to keep luggage. The room was clean and adequate though as we spent most of our time out. Breakfast was really good compared to other hotels in Europe. There was lots of choice. Only complaint was the coffee machine was not working so well but the lady kindly helped with it when I asked. Regarding the bathroom, it’s really tiny as well. Not much space in the shower. Also the shower gel/shampoo got over just after 1 person showered. The bottle is opaque so we couldn’t even see how much was there. I never had this issue in any other hotel till date. The location is excellent. City centre and walkable to Bryggen area.

The bedrooms are a bit small but ok. The bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is a great selection from bacon and egg to granola with meat and cheese in between. My one complaint and it is not the hotel’s problem is that there is a lot of noise from the square until 3.00 am or latet

Great hotel, right on the main street, short walk to station and main tourist areas. 15 min walk to Hurtigrutan terminal. Only one niggle room 601 is directly below the kitchen and I was woken up on both mornings at 6am.

Great location, right in the heart of everything you want to see in Bergen. It's within walking distance to the train station if you're heading to Flam, and the light rail terminal to the airport is also just a short walk away. Very close to shopping centers as well. The breakfast buffet is excellent with plenty of options. The only downside is that the bathroom is a bit small, but overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

The Thon Hotel Bristol checked all the boxes for us. Transportation from the airport was nearby, there are many restaurants to choose from, and walkable to the highlights of Bergen. In addition to the lovely breakfast, the staff at the hotel was very impressive. Every person that we interacted with was friendly and professional offering helpful suggestions to make our stay wonderful. We definitely recommend staying there.

We arrived late due to delayed flights. The night clerk was excellent with us checking in late and very helpful. The breakfast was the best we had in Norway. The staff the next day at checkout was very friendly and looked up info for us since our cell phones were not working. Would stay there again.

Great place to stay very close 200 meters to the tram that goes to the airport. Was impressed as we arrived at 9.30 am and was able to get access to our room although guaranteed check in is 3 pm. The breakfast is good and is included in the room rate at no extra charge.

Hotel was convenient access to Bergen city center and many attractions. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice. Probably not for families/kids. Arrived to pretty rowdy scene around hotel lots of partying and drunks. Safe in the room was not functional which was frustrating. Cleaning staff knocked on my door early 9am and when I said don’t come in they opened the door and through the crack asked if I needed service that day. It was a little early for that type of request.

Slightly difficult to find ,it is not at the address giving that is a McDonald’s. It is round the corner in Markeveien and is not a very obvious entrance. Good quick check in and nice staff. Comfortable bed and great breakfast with a self service coffee always available. Very easy to walk to all the centre of Bergen and the port.

This hotel is very close to the station making it very convenient. It is also a short walk to the harbour, the old town and the funicular which gives amazing views over the city. The only down side is that we found the rooms quite small. This was rectified however as we were given a larger room when we requested one. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good and on the top floor to take advantage of the views

Just one block away from the end of the light rail. Keep walking straight ahead for one short block and it's in the next block. You'll see the McDonalds on the corner which is part of the building. The hard to see entrance is just past Maccas. Breakfast was good as was the restaurant. Good clean efficient hotel handy to the harbour.

The room was great! Booked a balcony room and would have been wonderful, however it was a little cold and rainy to enjoy during our stay. Breakfast was outstanding! Restaurant in the hotel was disappointing. Have to order at the counter and take a number for food to be delivered to you. Seemed self service to us. Would have had more drinks. But no one checked on us after delivery of the food. The prices were the same as a restaurant with service. If we wanted counter service, we could have gone to McDonald’s.

Our stay at Thon Hotel was nice- rooms and lobby and very clean, staff was friendly, and the area is very walkable. Our only complaints were the view out the window, which was of several dumpsters behind the building (which were also very loud in the morning), and the fact that we thought this hotel was located nearer the wharf and had a view of that area- the pictures online are quite deceiving unless you look at the map. The restaurant downstairs was absurdly expensive, which was disappointing. Otherwise, would recommend staying here.

A localização é excelente, fica na rua principal da cidade , o café da manhã é maravilhoso, com muitas variedades mas o local em que é servido meio apertado, acaba ficando bem cheio e tumultuado. A cama não é confortável, éramos um casal e deixaram edredons individuais na cama de casal , nunca vi isso.As toalhas dos banheiros estão bem surradas além de serem bem simples . A decoração é “meio duvidosa” . Não acho que o hotel deveria ser 04 estrelas como está classificado.

The decoration in this hotel is startling but effective. It' worth stay just to look at: brightly coloured hallways and walls with striking wallpaper. The rooms are large. You can stream your own content to the room tv which is useful as there's only one English channel (Sky News). Good location. Not the closest to the tourist spots but handy for transportation (airport bus, light rail, coastal ferry). Good breakfast buffet but not the best in Bergen (see my other review to discover which one is).
