Check in ok. When we booked the room the hotel claimed “free parking”. Before arrival received an email that said “park at q-park, a 3 min walk to the hotel and the hotel will redeem parking ticket”. WRONG! We had to pay €12.50 at the terminal at q-park as the hotel only redeemed part of the fee! I’d like to be reimbursed the €12.50! Also, it’s not a 3 min walk. Hotel bathroom: vent / fan in bathroom did not work. Noise level: atrocious! Room faced courtyard: loud music well past 10 pm, people talking below dining at courtyard restaurant. Sleep impossible. Again: atrocious!

The hotel is a fantastic central location in Cork, and while parking was a bit of a challenge the hotel itself made up for it. The hotel was doing some renovations and the manager (who was pulling an all-nighter it seemed) was super helpful each time we saw him, and he helped us with our bags to and from the hotel. The staff were gracious and accommodating and the rooms were large and comfortable. Dinner at Greenes restaurant was a real treat as well! Very happy with our stay.

Beautiful hotel with adjoining restaurant. Very well staffed. Bar/lounge across the hall/way was quirky with wonderful selections and service. Parking, while off site isn’t a deal breaker. Be warned, parking is located up a steep hill.

Lovely small hotel. Very short walk into the commericial area. Lots of restaurants and pubs near by (including Sin é). We ate at the Cask next door several times. Parking garage is a block away. Bus and Train stations are 4 blocks away. Very friendly, helpful staff.

What a beautiful hotel and courtyard! It was such a a great feeling walking in from a city street to a little oasis. Room was clean and comfortable. The attached bar was great as well as the service!

The hotel was nicely placed within an entryway with a waterfall and restaurants surrounding it. The room was nicely sized for 3 and beds comfortable. The lift was out for the weekend. They had staff to carry bags up the stairs which really helped.

I would have given a higher rating but the heat pump with thermostat were not working and we could not control the temperature. They do however have baseboard heating. The restaurant was excellent. The ambiance on the ground floor was wonderful.

We liked the location and ambience of entrance. The room was super hot which was weird because it was cool outside (mid to low 60 degree F). We were there 4 nights and tea wasn't replaced ( 2 teabags for 2 people) and we never had hot water to shower. Didn't clean room on third day when gone from 10-4. The first night we took cool showers because the water never got hot. The next day the hot water was brown and we were advised against using it, but were told at night you have the run the hot water long enough for it to circulate thru the whole building? So the next night when water was less brown we attempted to run hot water. After 25 minutes and no hot water, called down and they said they'd called a plumber. Never offered any solution. Had to beg for compensation. We eventually got 20% off one day and 30% for another day.

Great location, historical building, decent sized room. The room itself needs deep cleaning and repair. Stained carpets, a toilet that doesn’t flush unless you try 5-6 times, and it off gases sewer smell continuously. Some bathroom floor tiles are loose, and the AC doesn’t work. - a fan was provided instead. The staff are very nice, but they lost track of which rooms were occupied and gave another guest a key to my room, and they walked in on me in bed. If the room was well maintained, this stay could easily have been excellent due to the location.

For the price we paid, the room was terrible. There was blood on the headboard, the bathroom was dirty, hairs in the tub and mold on the walls. Stains on the carpet. I had photos to show. I was told the manager would reach out to me, they never did. When I checked out and asked for the manager, I was told she was busy. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude, asking me “what do you expect me to do about it” I have never been treated like this at any other hotel ever.

The bathroom in our room needed a good clean. The staff were friendly and the room was large. There were cobwebs on the stairs and the glass in the communal areas needed a clean. Although we had no big issues we couldn’t stay here again

Location is great, close to many great spots. However, a few things that made me feel as if it was an average stay…first, I booked a room for a king sized bed and was put into a room with two doubles. After traveling I was too tired to make a fuss of it, however at 5AM someone at the restaurant was taking trash out from the restaurant and made SO much commotion it woke us up out of a dead sleep. Then the shower and sink were spitting out rusty water so, I just was turned off. Also be noted! If you’re booking from Expedia…it says 12 o clock check out, however the apartments are actually 10:30 check out. Not the worst, not the best.

The room was great and the restaurants were great. Very spacious and tons of closet space. No air conditioning but there was a Dyson fan so it wasn’t terribly hot. It was Friday night and the bars across were loud so we didn’t open the windows. Our room was over the bar and was loud and you could feel the bass through the bed and hear it until quite late. Had I have known, I would have asked for a different room but didn’t know until later bin the evening when we got back to our room.

Loved the hotel. Very nice rooms. Unusual warm weather during our stay so room was a little warm, however a very nice oscillating fan was in room. Only caution is our room was on the courtyard side and had to keep window closed due to crowd and music noise from cocktail bar opposite hotel with seating in courtyard. Window with fan stopped majority of noise so sleeping was good. If you’re a light sleeper, request non-courtyard room.

We had a great stay in the heart of the Victorian Quarter. MacCurtain Street is a fantastic, lively area that’s ideally placed. It’s a short walk to the city centre and a short walk in the other direction to Bell’s Field gives you great city views. The hotel is cool and well looked after. Cask bar is great for drinks - a shame Greenes Restaurant was closed for renovations.

Loved this hotel and location! Great bar and restaurant. Easy walk from the train station and several nice bars and restaurants very close by. Cask bar adjacent to the hotel was fantastic for dinner and drinks 🍹 Greens restaurant was also delicious with great service!
