Ariel House

This is a great little hotel in a very smart part of town. The staff is excellent. They have a lounge and honor bar. The breakfast is absolutely amazing.

Ariel hotel ê una casa antica a 35 minuti dal centro di Dublino, ha due posteggi piccoli ma in cui ho trovato posto e non è xcerto la solita struttura anonima e multinazionale. Qui si respira aria di Dubliners. Ha un bellissimo bar in cui ci si serve da bere e si lascia il dovuto sul tavolo della reception, ma the ed caffè sono compresi nel servizio. La colazione è per metà servita e per metà a buffet, se non avete troppe restrizioni nella dieta direi che è ottima. Pane fresco, yogurt, cereali, frutta fresca, succhi, e poi la carta molto interessante. Personalmente non mangio molto cose ma ho trovato conforto in tutto quello che mi è stato proposto per la mia dieta. La camera ok, tutta in moquette, ampissima, non molto luminosa perchè ero al piano terreno, ma comunque c’erano due finestre. Qualche spiffero da controllare ma direi che è un posto da tenere a mente.

Very nice staff, great room size. Very nice and easily walkable. Car park was small and full when we arrived, but easy street parking nearby. Overall very nice stay, and will come back.

The property is a Heritage home which I did not realize. The breakfast was free and it was served in the dining room of the home which wasn’t very big so you had to wait for a seat. No bar or other restaurant. Too quiet for my liking!

Very clean, staff lovely, amenities great. Loved the lounge area with papers and pastries. Breakfast was delicious. So convenient to dart and hence to beach in south or to the city. Cosy little gem of a hotel. Loved it. Definitely go back there.

Room was clean but not quite as glamorous as the photos. Staff were friendly. Good location. Nice common room for relaxing. Parking for 6-7 cars, though some spaces are quite tight. Pleasant stay overall and would have no hesitation staying here again.

Cozy room but loud due to doors shutting and hallway noises. The shared living room areas are nice. The on site breakfast was very good. Had it both times I was there. Location is a bit of a ways from the city center.

We didn't want to stay in "downtown" Dublin. Ariel House was a perfect choice for us. It's near a train station. So, getting to "downtown" Dublin was very easy. We didn't have to drive. Parking at Ariel House is tight, but we were glad they had parking available. There's a commercial area relatively close by (walkable) that had a variety of restaurants and pubs. Our room was very comfortable. A tad small for four adults, but adequate. The included breakfast was extremely tasty and satisfying. There were items, such as yogurt, juice, and cereal, on the buffet line. Then, either a full Irish breakfast or continental breakfast available to order. One could fill-up during breakfast, go on a full day's agenda, and not have to eat again until dinner. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Will definitely consider staying at Ariel House again in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about the Ariel House. It's charming, inviting and welcoming. The room are very clean. Bathrooms are small but the walk in shower was a big plus. Breakfast was good. Nice selection on the menu. The only down fall is there is no lift. Quite a few steps, However, Emerson was very helpful carrying our suitcases to our rooms.

The breakfast was very good. The staff pleasant. It was nice to have gluten free cereal and toast. The hotel is nice but we were in the area that is due to be refurbished. The room was OK. The bathroom though needs a rethink. The shower would have been OK if the head came out past the electric control. As it stood you have to squash in the corner against the hand rail and pushed against the controls and taps just to be able to get under the water. Plus, getting in and out (bath) to have a shower the gap was tiny between the sink and the bath. Far from ideal. This should be a walk in shower only. Plus, the fittings under the controls dripped all night. On our first day housekeeping didnt service the room, as we only got back at 1130pm bit late to do anything. Told reception and the following day fine all be it very late in the day.

We had a wonderful experience at Ariel House. It was beautiful, comfortable and quiet. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and cakes in the drawing room were excellent. Our bathroom had some wear and tear, but I understand that they are in the middle of renovations. So, I'm assuming those things are being addressed, bit by bit. If you want old world charm and a peaceful atmosphere with easy access to Dublin city center, this is a wonderful spot. I would absolutely stay here again.

We recently stayed at Ariel House for a week with friends to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. The hotel has a charming, quaint feel, with beautiful period decor that fits the setting, but there were several aspects that could definitely be improved. Starting with the positives, the hotel’s ambiance is cozy and quintessentially Irish, which initially set a warm and welcoming tone. The location is also convenient for exploring and within walking distance of the Aviva Stadium which makes it specially convenient for concert goers. However, we did find some areas lacking. The amenities are minimal for what we would consider a luxury stay. Some of the front desk staff were very accommodating, attentive and displayed great customer service. However, other staff members seemed less geared toward hospitality which led to a mixed experience towards attentiveness. Our room’s bathroom, especially the shower, could use some updating. Water was leaking onto the floor every time we used the shower, an inconvenience we noticed throughout our stay. Also, the bedding would benefit from a refresh to enhance comfort. Lastly, housekeeping not always replenished toiletries, which required us to follow up with the front desk at first. Overall, while Ariel House has a certain charm and a good location, it could benefit from more attentive customer service and updates to the rooms to bring it closer to luxury standards. It’s a nice option for a short stay if you value atmosphere over amenities.

Das Hotel wirkt auf den ersten Blick sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und stimmig. Beim zweiten Blick erkennt man dann schon den ein oder anderen Mangel: - Couch war sehr in die Jahre gekommen und abgekämpft - Fliesen im Bad gerissen - etwas Schimmel im Bad Positiv zu erwähnen ist das stets nette und zuvorkommende Personal

We tried to cancel our stay due to travel issues and was denied. Our room did not have AC, dirty towel hanging in bathroom, stained carpet, open windows, noisy, water stained ceiling, peeling walls, and loud toilet. Requested early breakfast due to flight and was unavailable. Overall unhappy one night stay for a extremely overpriced room. We did receive a lengthy written apology without any monetary compensation offered for their poor service and room condition. We did contact Expedia but they were not helpful either with the cancellation.

This property is very beautiful the location is really great however this hotel is not suitable for older people. The breakfast service was very terrible as we constantly felt rushed. the hotel was fully booked and we did not get our seat promptly. I absolutely have no issues waiting for a table because I understand that the hotel was fully booked and busy - however as soon as we sat down we felt extremely rushed both days that we ate there. We asked for clean towels to be set in our room and when we got back the towels that they had replaced were extremely dirty and had brown spots on them . I told front desk about this and I thought they were going to notify the manager but they never did. We went there with my parents who needed help with their luggage since there are a lot of stairs in this property. The stairs are completely fine and it was in the listing so I completely understood. However when we went to the front desk to ask for assistance for my parents to help them with their luggage the front desk person was sleeping in the lobby - they did not offer to help us at all. This was extremely unprofessional considering that my parents were older, and we had been told the front desk offer is 24 /seven and they did not help us with their luggage at all. Overall the properties very beautiful but the staff is horrendous. I’ve never the type of person to leave a negative review but this truly blew my mind how terrible the service was.

Nice clean room. Regular housekeeping and a while stocked in room coffee and tea. Great parlour with coffee, tea, water and lemonade. Amazing breakfast with plenty of choices.

The staff were all excellent, very sweet and helpful. The rooms were very nicely decorated but not very functional at all. The shower especially, is designed very poorly and would be very difficult for anyone who struggles with balance. The light switches are very confusing to coordinate. The air in the room couldn’t be cooled down without an open window and a fan, which a staff member brought up to us. There isn’t an outlet next to a mirror if you need one for drying or curling hair. The only mirror is low, above the desk. And the outlet in the bathroom is only for shavers, which is true of most hotels in Ireland but very inconvenient, in my opinion. We were a group of three sisters and the space was extremely cramped for us. The only place to put our luggage was on the floor so we were constantly having to step over luggage to get around. We only had one bag each. The treats in the lobby were a nice touch and the decor was lovely.

Give us a fan for the room holy crap! Hundreds of Euros for a room, summer in Dublin, could ya provide a blasted box fan or anything to get some air movement in the room Jesus Christ was like a sauna!

This hotel was great! Very large room, great location, onsite parking, wonderful breakfast, helpful staff!

Finding the property was very easy using sat nav. On arrival was very pleased until we entered the room we found someone else clothes in the room. My husband didnt get a wink of sleep due to the heating system being really loud every 20mins outside our window. Then breakfast we were told there was a waiting list and we didnt mind until we were forgotten about and i had to remind the young lady 25mins later. The breakfast was mediocre.

An elegant accommodation option for discovering Dublin and its surroundings. I would classify it as a boutique hotel, where the Victorian atmosphere and attention to detail are paramount. Its rooms are spacious, bright, and very comfortable. And its food, specializing in delicious breakfasts, is very good and high-quality. Another highlight of this hotel is its staff: friendly, helpful, and willing to help at any time. We spent four nights as a family and were very happy with our stay, recommending it.

Great location for Aviva stadium. Nice clean and cost hotel. Only challenge was that our room was warm and it didn’t seem possible to turn the temperature down. We would definitely stay here again.

The bed it was not comfortable. I really struggle with a sleep there. I wake up and feeling tired in the morning and the other thing is the heating. It was timed by the hotel so the room cold which is very annoying you wanna stay in the room comfortable but I’m unfortunately the heating was coming on 5 pm overall not very good experience and I’ll never book again

Parking limited. Bathroom tub /shower unmanedgeable. Shower head limited to use due to poor design. Needs to have a hand held shower head. Tub very narrow and difficult to get out

Great stay! When departing, I forgot a couple items in my room, and the staff immediately called to notify us - and even drove 20 minutes each way to bring my things to me at the airport before I left. Very appreciative for the incredible service.

We were “upgraded” to a deluxe suite. online pics/description showed large rooms, sitting area and king sized beds. We got a moderate room, 2 chairs & a FULL sized bed. The vast difference prompted me to go to reception to ask what your of room we got. There was hardly ever anyone at the reception desk to speak to after that. We were also told about the breakfast/times. We asked about ordering in to our room, and was told yes we could. The next morning when we called to order, the woman went to ask the kitchen. She came back and told us that the kitchen said they were too busy to accommodate us. When my husband went down to grab some things, all that was left was a handful of pastries…it was 9am. We left the “please tidy” placard on our door, as the housekeeping was next door when we left we told the desk that our tub drain was running slowly and water was sitting during our shower. We were assured that maintenance would take care of it. We returned late afternoon to find our room not cleaned. No one was available so I had to email to request the cleaning and maintenance again. When we returned, there was no one at the desk, we called later..again no one. I emailed about ordering breakfast..no reply..still. Next day when showering, noticed that maintenance had not been done. My husband went down to grab breakfast and again, only a handful of pasties and one spoonful of fruit @930. Coffee maker was broken. There was always either no water or no glasses available in

Nice historical building with well appointed rooms and great breakfasts. Good location. On the negative side, it feels like staff lacks training and customer attention. Every time you approached them with a question, they made it feel like you were interrupting them and were an imposition. Your job as hotel staff is to look after your guests.

Ariel house is beautiful and the included breakfast is the best of the best. We had a few hiccups on our stay and the only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 5. The hotel called us as soon as our room was ready and stated they would waive the $30 esrly check in fee, mind you check in was at 3:00 and we were called at 2:00, so it was not too early. Then when we were gettin our key, the manager stated that the room we reserved had been given to someone else, and that we would receive a lesser updated room in place. I was not happy to hear this as this was the first day on our trip and a pretty big hiccup. We asked to receive the difference Iin value between the two rooms back and he informed us it would be only 20 euro. We chatted how I didn’t understand how they just gave away our room as I had specifically reserved that on many months ago. It was finally resolved that I would receive back the 20 euros difference for the room valve, 10 euro for each of the other two nights, a bottle of 5 euro wine, and he would move our room after the other occupants checked out. Then when we got to the new room, the hardware on the bathroom lock was not installed and when we went to turn on a broken lamp the electrical power went out for the whole room. That was resolved about an hour later and we were back in light. Overall the Ariel House is beautiful with very attentive customer service, yet it was a big mess up on their part for giving away our room that we reserved for our dates.

My colleague had the pleasure of staying at Ariel House in Ballsbridge, and I must say it was a truly charming experience. From the moment she arrived, the warm hospitality and welcoming atmosphere made her feel right at home. The location is ideal – situated in a peaceful and elegant part of Dublin, yet only a short distance from the city centre. It’s also very convenient for attending events at the Aviva Stadium, which is just a short walk away. The rooms were beautifully presented, combining classic elegance with modern comfort. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the room was spotless, quiet, and well-equipped. What truly sets Ariel House apart is the personal touch in service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. It felt like a genuine Irish welcome throughout the stay. Breakfast deserves a special mention – freshly prepared, with a wide selection of delicious options, including homemade breads and pastries. The dining room itself was cosy and elegant, adding to the overall experience. Overall, Ariel House is a gem of a hotel – perfect for both business and leisure travellers who appreciate comfort, character, and exceptional service. This is a beautiful B&B. I would highly recommend this spot and would stay here again The included breakfast was delicious and there was good variety The location is quieter, not around much, but transit station is walkable and easy to figure out If you’re so inclined-Dublin City Centre is a good 25 minute walk, maybe 30.

They boast the best breakfast in Dublin, and I agree. The rooms are elegant and spacious, the staff excellent. My only heads-up would be that it is far from the city center. The Dart station is right by the hotel, but the Dart doesn’t take you exactly where you want to go. I averaged 5 miles a day walking because of its remoteness. If you’re attending an event at the Aviva stadium, then you are literally next door.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ariel House. It is very conveniently located next to the train station. We did not want to stay in the city center so this was a great location for our desires. The gourmet breakfast was as good as they said it would be, very very good. We loved the little atrium room breakfast was served in. The box breakfast was so nice to have on the way to our early flight. Very accommodating, the great room with snacks coffee and tea was a treat.

This was by far one of the best stays I have ever had in any Europe vacation. The breakfast was amazing and the service equal. The train stop was less than a block away and we could get to anywhere from there. The staff was extremely helpful and the rooms were very comfortable. If I ever get back to Dublin, I will definitely try to make this our stay.

Great area to stay if you prefer a quiet area, but still want to be close to transit/ the city centre.

Nous sommes resté du & au 4/5 et du 6 au 11/5. La première chambre 222 était au 2nd floor et était bien. La ème chambre était au down floor et donnait directement sur l'entrée et le parking nous obligeant à maintenir les tentures tirées. Il n'y avait pas de lampe au-dessus de l'évier, le chauffage de la salle de bain était en panne et le réglage de l'eau de la douche un jeu de hasard.A notre départ nous avons attendu 40 minutes pour le petit déjeuner. Au regard du prix du séjour, nous sommes évidemment assez frustré surtout que la position de l'hôtel nous convenait parfaitement pour nos prochains séjours.

Die Fotos bei den einzelnen Zimmerkategorien stimmen nicht mit den Zimmern überein. Wir haben ein Dreibettzimmer gebucht. Auf den Fotos war ein großes Zimmer abgebildet mit viel Platz. Laut Beschreibung 30qm groß. Das Zimmer insgesamt hatte definitiv keine 30qm. Das Badezimmern war so klein, dass sich max. eine Person darin aufhalten konnte und selbst die hatte schon Probleme, beim öffnen der Tür, wenn sie raus wollte. Leider hat man uns auch versäumt zu sagen, dass es morgens sein kann, dass man 50 Minuten warten muss, bis man frühstücken kann, denn genauso war ea bei uns am ersten Tag. Am zweiten Tag ging es zum Glück schneller. Am ersten Tag beim Frühstück hat so einiges nicht geklappt. Man hat uns nicht erklärt, was wir von der Menükarte alles bestellen dürfen. Wir haben Toast bekommen aber keine Butter und Marmelade. Das ging am zweiten Tag ebenfalls besser.das Frühstück selbst ist geschmacklich top. Ebenso die Lage ist super. Kostenlose Parkplätze und nur 2 Gehminuten zur Straßenbahn mit der man innerhalb von 10 Minuten im Zentrum ist.

Fabulous. Special mention to Sanjeev who went above and beyond! Breakfast was amazing and because we were leaving at 6am the following morning they prepared us a delightful takeaway. I look forward to the chance to visit again soon

Mycket pampig och fint hotell med mycket god frukost. Dock kunde vi inte ta sista dagens frukost och fick ett torftig frukost med oss till flygplatsen som bestod av torrt bröd, smör, marmelad, vatten, liten muffin och en banan. Badrummet var slitet och behöver en reperation. Sköna sängar och högt i taket som kändes lyxigt.
