The Merrion Hotel

This hotel is elite! I’ve staying at many luxury properties, this stands out at the top for service and the room itself. I would highly recommend the property and the Cellar Bar during live music.

Lovely hotel and great staff with the exception of the Garden Room for dining where the service was super slow. Pool was beautiful and gym was simple and clean. Food was very fresh and well managed for allergies.

The Merrion is truly an amazing property. An oasis in Dublin to relax, we totally pampered and spoiled. The spa is fabulous. The staff makes you feel welcome the minute you enter the lobby. This is the platinum standard for hotel travel in Dublin. Absolutely the best place to stay.

Cold tap in bath did not work . Our room was extremely noisy during the day and until 1am in morning, not due to other guests, but hotel operations of some sort. Noise started at 6am again. Issue with room key at end of evening had to return to reception for new key. 25 min wait for table at breakfast. Staff were kind but under pressure. Breakfast had not been added to our bill, had to ask for it to be added on. Valet parking was excellent. Disappointing stay based on previous experiences, mostly based on lack of sleep, did not leave refreshed.

This hotel is a truly wonderful experience, and every service available is 5 star and wonderful. Every men over of staff is knowledgeable, helpful and just really lovely. The spa is fantastic and the pool wonderful, we are sad we did t use the spa but will make more time to do so when next at the hotel! We had the perfect stay, thank you to all at the Merrion! We’ll be back

The Merrion is a beautiful hotel in immaculate condition, the staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. Great swimming pool, spa and gym, which opens early. My only compliant was I bought an expensive bottle of wine at dinner. We were a group of eight and it was probably our fourth and best bottle, we received 6 glasses, I tasted and approved the wine and then the waiter poured it out into 6 glasses, none left for me and one other.

Five star luxury surrounded by beautiful art.

My family had a wonderful time at the Merrion! My son and I stayed there for three nights, and then again a few days later with the whole family. The staff could not have been more accommodating, the rooms lovely, and the bar fantastic. Thank you!

A real 5 star hotel in the centre of Dublin catering for all needs. Fantastic staff, spacious rooms, excellent spa/pool/gym smack bang in the centre of the city.

The Merrion is a grand hotel. Behind its unassuming entrance, it has a very welcoming and efficient staff, with beautifully appointed public spaces and open areas. The rooms are clean and the showers are excellent.

This hotel is exceptional. This was one of the best 5 star hotels that I have stayed at. From the doorman, to housekeeping, to food service, the staff is fantastic. Everyone greets you by name. The room was beautiful and very clean. The cleanliness was remarkable. I had several meals from room service, all served beautifully and delicious. The hotel actually made me want to stay in rather than go out, it was that lovely. What a great property.

The Merrion Hotel was the most elegant, well kept hotel I've ever had the pleasure to experience. The staff was most kind and helpful. We love room service and The Merrion does it best: a hot box under the roll in table to keep the breakfast warm was wonderful and the room had a chair and bench so we could comfortably sit and dine. These seating options were in addition to the two very comfortable lounge chairs on wheels. The very large room had an operable large, almost double door size, window that overlooked the beautiful formal gardens with fountains and large reflecting pool. The curtains were pale beige houndstooth check woolens with sheers that operated easily. The linens and duvet were European style without a separate sheet, and were pressed but soft as velvet. The heating and cooling temperature control was most responsive and silent, and the fan had three settings so perfect control was possible. The hotel food was of the highest quality with excellent options and preparation but could have been a bit spicier for my taste. Housekeeping was amazing! This hotel was the cleanest of all hotels ever, not a speck of soil, and all fixtures and bedding appeared new. The controls in the shower allowed one to set a temperature for the visit, and then turn on and off with a separate dial. I did not see the pool area but all the public areas were immaculate. The Afternoon Art Tea had delicious tea, the pastries were diverse. Hotel was within easy walking distance of DART train

Our stay here was fine. The public areas could use some updating. Plumbing fixtures in the bathroom were not the best. Only hotel in 10 days in Ireland that didn’t give us cookies or chocolates at turn down. No acknowledgment of Expedia gold members here. Location is quite central and the room was good - small but fine.

An outstanding luxury hotel in the heart of Dublín. Staff just brilliant. Rooms large and tastefully decorated. The Cellar bar is the perfect place for watching the Six Nations if you are unable to get a ticket. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Loved,loved , loved this hotel!!! It was absolutely wonderful on every single level. Superb service, the room was plush and cozy. The bedding lux and crisp. Drawing room with the raging fire -perfection. It also is perfectly located! Love!

Very poor with air conditioning and cooling of the room. Unable to sleep well for 2 nights straight. Even after changing our room to a different room given to us , the problem not solved

Over the course of my stay random charges were added to my folio that had to be removed on TWO separate occasions.

The doormen at this place absolutely rocked. Always busy, but courteous and very helpful.

Everyone and everything was perfect except the lady showing us to the breakfast table ! She was quite rude

Where do i start, so from when i arrived until i went home i never felt welcome at all. I was being watch and followed like i was some sort of criminal i payed 600 euro for 1 night stay which didnt even include breakfast they had also taken a further 500 euro from my account whitch was followed up with a refund. The room was very basic and i had the worst night slep ever i am now in a premier inn at the moment and its a 5/5 for me, overall i would rate this place as 2/10 i felt so intimated which was terrible i could even get any food because they would not let us into the bar told me to get room service and also if i wanted breakfast they also suggested room service. I was never so glad to get out of that hotel i was clearly judged for the way i looked i was going to the rds so has casual clothes on i.am nust so angry with the treatment i had.

This beautiful luxury hotel has the most professional staff anywhere. Service was impeccable. It's expensive and was a splurge for our last nights of our long trip, and so worth it. We had a basic room that was spacious, quiet and comfortable with great light, overlooking the garden. Large bathroom filled with marble, both a shower and tub, great products. Complimentary glass bottled water and chocolates, lovely turn-down service. We ate in the Garden Room 3 times, it was so good. And our dinner at Patrick Guilbaud was a true Michelin-starred delight. Location was good and Dublin so fun!

As lovely as the hotel was and how wonderful the service, the dining is not at the same level surprisingly.
