Fantastic accommodation situated in a lovely residential area of Dublin. There is a lovely walk close to the hotel along the Dodder River and in the shadow of The Aviva Stadium. Good bus and Dart links to the City Centre. Standards within the hotel are high and our room was beautifully decorated. We also liked the free parking.

Hotel staff were excellent but visit was spoilt by lift not working which meant we had to walk aroung the building to get to the restaurant, my wife having mobility issues.

Booked this hotel quite last minute as it was very reasonably priced and close to the ferry port. To be honest we weren’t expecting it to be great, we were so wrong. It’s a beautiful hotel, very clean, lovely staff, ample parking on site. Will definitely visit again.

Hotel had plenty of character and conveniently located for my stay. Breakfast was good and the lounge comfortable and very relaxing. Staff were very good and friendly and housekeeping kept my room clean and tidy. Overall 10 out of 10 and I would not hesitate to stay there again. In addition, I had my EV charged which is also very convenient.

The hotel was ideal for our one night stay before returning to the UK by ferry. The room was clean, modern and spacious, and we enjoyed an excellent evening meal at the hotel. The big bonus for us was the EV charging which few central Dublin hotels offer. Finding our way around the hotel was fun...it's a warren of corridors which all look similar!

The flooring in the corridors were uneven, and had many steps to my room, steps to enter the room and inside the room steps to bathroom too. High risk of tripping and falling, a Health & Safety issue. There was no in-room fridge or bar for guests to place medications. The toilet was set so close to the side of the bath (4cm away) you hit the bath when trying to sit. The lift A to carpark broke down when trying to check out. Had to carry bags down a flight of stairs. The room had NO Ventilation system. Windows were locked. No air vents, no air condition. It was stifling hot trying to sleep at night. Had to sleep on top of the duvet. Hair dryer was hidden and permanently attached inside the drawer. There was no luggage rack. Had to use the glass tables for bags. The main good thing with the hotel is the availability of parking within the premises.

Our room, number 255, and bathroom were clean, the decor was fresh, just let down by the basin stand which was delaminating at the base. Unfortunately the soundproofing was inadequate and we were awoken by loud banging noises at 6am from the room above. This went on for an hour. It sounded like a herd of elephants. Otherwise all good. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was superb.

Very clean and friendly staff. No air conditioner in room but temperature outside rarely gets above 70 so we opened the windows. It was a little warm but hotel is very nice and in a good area. The restaurant and bar area was also nice. The staff was friendly and the food was good!

The staff were friendly and helpful, the communal areas were modern, and the hotel was clean and well-maintained, but felt like a budget hotel. The location wasn't ideal after we'd stayed earlier in the city center - very limited dining and pub options; you need to drive/cab to places that have more options. The room was standard (though small-ish for 3 adults); the presence of 3 beds (2 single, 1 double) in a room that size, made it cramped. The bathroom was very tiny and cramped. The parking area was spacious and well-placed. The breakfast was pretty good, quantity and quality, with very good service.

Room was below main level so the view was of cars and car tires from the only window. Room comfort standard. Bathroom - toilet paper in the way of toilet so could not sit on toilet without bumping it. Hotel is a real maze….

Room 363 Good sized room.Nicely decorated. Room was very warm- there was a fan in the room but AC would have been more appropriate. A walk in shower would have been easier to use.Grab rail next to bath was loose. Generous amount of tea and coffee. Friendly staff on reception and at breakfast. I thought breakfast was included with the twin room as it wasn't offered as an extra.We had to pay at the hotel.On the website you can book breakfast for other rooms as an extra and its cheaper than paying the hotel.

The light requires your key to the room to work. I’ve never experienced that before. We were on the bottom floor so with it hot, we had window open but then it was noisy. Could’ve been better

The hotel is beautiful and the neighborhood is really lovely. I traveled to this area specifically for a workshop, and really enjoyed my walks to and from the venue. The food at the restaurant was amazing, and really appreciated the complimentary water bottles. All this said, I was disappointed by the size of the room I had, especially for how expensive the stay was. I barely had space to open up my suitcase and move around comfortably. Staff was also not very welcoming when I first checked in, and no one offered to help with my very heavy bags that I had to drag up and down stairs + a long distance from the elevator to my room.

And as hotel has very long halls, a lot of people passing outside. No sleep possible after 6 a.m. Window to the back to a wall. Small bed. Roommaids started cleaning neighbour rooms at 8 a.m.

Our stay at this hotel was beyond our expectations. Special thanks to Alex for going above and beyond to help us with a late-night booking, and to Eider for making our late-night check-in so pleasant. Marcio was also incredibly helpful and attentive during our stay, which made everything even smoother. Every staff member we interacted with was amazing—from housekeeping and cleaning to the breakfast team (especially Jing) and those working on September 9th. I would highly recommend this place to families, as the staff were incredibly kind and attentive with my toddler. A special mention also to Elsa, who was such a pleasure to talk to and made us feel genuinely welcome.

Beautiful Hotel with great reception staff, especially Susanna, the young Spanish girl- very comfortable rooms and plenty of parking available. Only letdown was the restaurant. The restaurant itself closed early and the Bar was supposed to provide the restaurant service. While we were provided menus as soon as we sat down, the two staff working were not coming again to take drink or food orders. This was at 8 pm, there were a total of 6 people in the Bar and after we were not asked for our order after 25 minutes we decided to leave and look for a more customer orientated restaurant. We had had a very stressful day, in and out to visit a relative in a nearby nursing home and all we wanted was to have something to eat at the hotel. Instead we had to head back to Sandymount Green for something to eat. We would return to the Sandymount Hotel, but would hope that the service issues would have been addressed.

A decent stay. The staff at the restaurant were not very attentive—I had three different waiters who missed my starter at dinner, and I had to ask several times for coffee at breakfast. Unfortunately, my room was right by a set of stairs, so I could hear people coming and going all night. When I mentioned this to the front desk at checkout, the staff asked if I had told anyone. I said no, as it was okay since I was only staying two nights. I figured moving to a new room would be more of a hassle. She brushed it off. Later, when I asked them to hold my items while I went out, the entire staff was giggling about something. I have no idea whether it was because of me or something that happened before I arrived, but it was incredibly strange. There isn’t much around the hotel except the stadium. You need to walk about 10 minutes or take the train to get to most places. The hotel itself was fine, but I don’t think it’s worth the money due to its location and lack of service.

Das Sandymount liegt ruhig in einem Aussenbezirk von Dublin, 5min vom Aviva Stadium entfernt. Gleich da fährt auch der Zug ins Zentrum (Lansdownroad bis Tara Street, 3 Stationen). Ab Tara Street ist man in 5 min über die Brücke beim Flughafen Bus und zu Fuss innert 10 min beim Trinity College oder ca. 10-15 min im Temple Bar. Das Hotel an sich ist ganz nett. Unser Zimmer war etwas in die Jahre gekommen, gibt aber glaube ich auch renovierte Zimmer. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut. Das Sandymount liegt ruhig in einem Aussenbezirk von Dublin, 5min vom Aviva Stadium entfernt. Gleich da fährt auch der Zug ins Zentrum (Lansdownroad bis Tara Street, 3 Stationen). Ab Tara Street ist man in 5 min über die Brücke beim Flughafen Bus und zu Fuss innert 10 min beim Trinity College oder ca. 10-15 min im Temple Bar. Das Hotel an sich ist ganz nett. Unser Zimmer war etwas in die Jahre gekommen, gibt aber glaube ich auch renovierte Zimmer. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut. The staff were all kind and helpful. The property is pretty inside. It is not in city center but right near the Aviva sports complex. About a 5 minute walk to the Dart (tram). Only complaint is that our view was the parking lot.

Ideal for concerts or matches in the aviva. Older hotel no AC or fans in rooms.. rang 3 times for fan got it over 2 hours later..maybe fans should automatically be placed in rooms over summer months. alot of restrictions in place within hotel due to concerts..no room service, no food in bar only in restaurant which was a pity as they would have made a fortune..

Sandy mount hotel is convenient for train to get you into Dublin centre. Lift from car park to reception was broken which meant we had to carry bags up lots of stairs, porters did help with suit cases. Overall cost with Expedia was not competitive with Hotel’s price. For 2 nights we paid over £100 more than hotel were advertising and breakfast was not included, We ate in the restaurant which was not a pleasant experience. The food was great, the service too was good but the design of the room with so many windows, tiled floors and nothing to absorb the surrounding sounds made dining unpleasant. We could hardly hear each other and we were sitting opposite each other. On a plus the room was comfy and hotel convenient. I won’t be using Expedia again having found I could have saved £100 on the same booking.

Just back from a 2 night stay at Sandymount hotel and it was excellent as always!! This is our third stay in the hotel and we are never disappointed, Rooms are clean and very comfortable, breakfast excellent, and the meals in the bar are superb and really good value. All the staff are helpful and friendly and we would recommend this hotel as it is also close to the dart station and makes trip into Dublin centre very easy. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Bed was hard, but that seems to be pretty common in the UK and Ireland. Shower was excellent though so I forgave them for the bed. The only thing I didn't like was the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was ok. However, I ordered room service and ended up getting salt with a side of prawns. The meal was truly disgusting. Inedible because of the amount of salt in it.

We were impress with clean rooms and helpful staff. The only suggestion i could make is the air con in the rooms as we were very lucky with the weather. The hotel had so many cosy sitting areas which is great for relaxing and we found the bar was very reasnable priced. The location is also good as only 2 stops to town by train.
