This hotel was well located, easily walkable to many places. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is a historic building and along with that comes quirks. If you are looking for quaint and charming, I think you’ll be very pleased. If you want modern amenities including an elevator, maybe consider another property. I don’t regret staying here, I just don’t know that it’s my cup of tea.

Comfortable room in a great location, stylish decor that enhances tge original features of the Georgian buildings. Breakfast was superb & staff extremely helpful. As well as being situated opposite the Green, the hotel has fantastic gardens that open onto the Iveagh Gardens, an oasis in midst of the city centre. Be aware that this is an old building & lots of stairs so you would need to advise hotel in advance of any difficulties that this may present.

We had a nice quiet room on the lower level and staff were great with helping with our luggage. The private garden on site was truly relaxing and it was probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in! (and I travel a lot). We loved being across from the park and lots of shopping and dining options all within walking distance.

The park across the street is nice and when we were there it was sunny and warm so it was full of people. The down side to sunny and warm is the hotel has no AC so the room was warm. The windows to our room didn’t open. It was on the first level on the street. Beautiful room. Tiny bathroom. I would stay again. Dublin can be very crowded and loud so it was a nice quiet place to get away from that at night and rest.

The location was excellent. We enjoyed the lounge area, and the small private garden in back. Staff was very helpful in getting us a taxi in the morning. It's an old style hotel with very small rooms, in a great location. If that's your vibe, I'd recommend. If you just want something clean, there are cheaper options.

We were very satisfied with this hotel! From the moment you walk in it’s so cozy and welcoming, it smelled wonderful and instantly makes you feel at home. We loved our 3 days in Dublin at STAUNTON’s. Perfect location in between two lovely parks. Walking distance from most attractions and around the corner from the bus stop for others. Staff was friendly and helpful; our room was spacious and clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location across from St. Stephen's Green and very easy to get to the center city. Right next to the MoIL and it's superb cafe. Stautntons staff was very well trained and helpful to a fault. Breakfast was first-rate. Our basement room was beautiful but a bit stuffy due to a tricky exhaust fan.

Upon booking two standard rooms for over €450 (mid-week), we were initially delighted with our accommodations on the ground floor. However, our satisfaction was short-lived when, after a day of wandering through Dublin, my partner and I discovered that our room had no hot water. Despite making four calls to reception, it took some time before a solution was offered. We were eventually relocated to another room on the third floor. While this room did have hot water, it was smaller, less appealing, and had a noticeable odor—a stark contrast to our initial rooms. At checkout, we conveyed our dissatisfaction with the experience, hoping for some form of compensation or gesture of goodwill. Unfortunately, all we received was an apology, which, while polite, did not quite make up for the inconvenience we faced. In summary, while the Staunton on the Green has much to offer in terms of location and initial room quality, our experience was marred by the hot water issue and the subsequent handling of our complaint. For the price paid, one would expect all aspects of the stay to be seamless, or at least for the hotel to offer more than just an apology when they fall short.

What a great hotel - it has been converted from three Georgian houses and has lots of character. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfasts offer lots of choice and are delicious. It is beautifully situated opposite St Stephen’s Green - a lovely park that you can walk through into the city. Although it doesn’t serve evening meals there are several restaurants they can recommend within walking distance.

A wonderful venue for an overnight in Dublin - so different to many of the modern hotels. Beautifully presented, with a lovely air of old world elegance which was a joy. Breakfast was superb.
