Nice hotel good location to get in and out of the city and surrounding suburbs, free parking good wifi , food a bit fancy and quite expensive especially breakfast €15 why? Nice gym nice and clean great helpful staff .i had a lovely sized room .

It was a beautiful property with lots of very comfortable private sitting areas polite staff. There was also ample parking which accommodated all conference delegates cars despite multiple conferences going on at the same time. Their conference facilities were excellent

Very nice modern hotel very clean tidy good gym . Nice restaurant tasty but overpriced breakfast . Free parking . Dinner arrived after 5 mins far too hot just come out of the microwave I reckon ang wasn’t that great .

Parts of the hotel were filthy. I actually took a photo of the lift used to access rooms 182-289.Filthy disgusting carpet that even had gum on it . Outside the lift was a filthy black mat and a door to a kitchen.

Outdated hotel . The carpets ( in both rooms and hallways ) full of big stains and they must be replaced . Rattling noise from AC unit and the vents from the AC were very filthy with debris falling into my bed . We had 2 rooms and in one of the rooms the water pressure was awful and scalding water . Also in one of the rooms the towel rack heater could not be turned off making the bathroom really hot . I asked the front desk if they could tell me how to turn it off and the lady was of no help. The price was reasonable but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Stayed overnight Room only. Plenty of parking space available. Location is approximately 15 minutes from city centre via taxi. Reasonable price for accommodation when compared to other hotels in Dublin. Reception area is nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom was clean big and spacious with all the necessary essentials. Carpet area in parts of the hall and lift was grubby and in need of a good clean. Didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on that. Based on my experience I would stay in this hotel again purely for value for money compared to other Dublin hotels.

My first stay in this hotel and my experience was superb. Warm, welcoming staff; spacious, very comfortable and clean bedroom with everything I needed. Cleaned thoroughly each day with real attention to detail. I didn't have breakfast but lunch in onsite restaurant was delicious. Warmly recommend.

We found the bar/grill, restaurant, and lobby really nice and welcoming, but our room less so. The shower pressure was quite weak and it seemed like there was mould building up on the shower walls, and the bed was quite small for 2 people. The photos on the Expedia listing when booking were completely and totally different than what the room actually looked like so that was disappointing as we found it fairly expensive for what we got. The bus stops are right by the hotel so that is handy, but the hotel itself is quite south in Dublin so we also had the cost of tickets to use the busses on top of the hotel cost. Luckily the busses come by every 5 minutes! We did have a great dinner at the bar/grill when we arrived late in the evening and staff were friendly as well.

The room was lovely and the kettle and iron were much appreciated but I couldn't close the window on the second night when the temperature outside dropped (only realised this once in bed so too late to call for assistance). Can't comment on the bar or restaurant but the location is convenient and the staff were lovely so would stay again if in the area.

We were only here one night, but it was nice. Unfortunately, I asked the Main Desk about the Johnnie Fox shuttle (we had booked it already) and no one knew anything about it! Luckily, we went outside by the main road and we did get the bus. Considering the hotel is a stop on the shuttle bus route, I would think the main desk should be informed. Also, the water pressure and temperature in the shower wasn’t great. 😌

I have never until now stayed in a room that had a 1.5 inch gap under the hotel room door. I felt incredibly unsafe that anyone could push something under the door such as a camera. On top of this the noise was horrendous. I heard everything from other guests moving through the corridor throughout the night. My room window was right about some of the mechanical systems and the noise coming through the closed window was like a constant drone. On top of that, the room or corridor above my room carried all their noise down to my room. The thumping of footfall, people shouting and drunk in the early hours and heavy footfall all early morning. I’ve never left a bad review for anywhere before, but this was appalling. I barely slept and felt like I was in some low rent hostel as opposed to a supposed 4 star hotel. I left first thing to get away from the place.

Hotel is nice and in a good location, very close to bus stop into town Rooms very hot, air conditioning but doesn’t seem to do anything. It was a really nice hotel, very big and staff good, un Friday night they had a wedding reception that had music bearing until 3 in the morning! And the loading of what I assume was the band equipment into a van just after midnight was also right outside our window. It's a big hotel, if you are having a disco till 3 in the morning don't put people who are not attending right above it!

I don’t think I’ve ever really given a poor review, but I’m a bit cheesed off after staying at this hotel. I did raise all issues upon check out, but was met with a bit of a ‘oh well’, which has led me here. 2 night business trip stay. - mattresses are literally the most basic there is. Super uncomfortable. - pillows are very basic 1” thick and well used. - I had no hot water for 1 evening/1 morning (50% of stay). Turns out no one did, but no communication so stood there trying to run a shower for ages hoping it would get hot. It didn’t. Just slide a bit of paper under the door to let me know like any other hotel. - breakfast is the cheapest, most basic quality food. It’s a buffet but served to you by a guy who literally threw it all on the plate in a big pile, massive inconvenience for him. - raised issues on check out, especially about the water, and wasn’t even told it was a problem. I only knew from speaking to other guests at breakfast. Was met with a bit of a ‘oh well’. The only good thing is the on site restaurant- really decent food! Must be independent from the breakfast. Food was great, good service and choice of beers.

Bala is a gem. He is exceptionally courteous and helpful. This is my second stay at the Talbot this fall. I come here when visiting my daughter at UCD. This is certainly my go-to for a hotel. The location is perfect for campus visits. The hotel is immaculate, breakfast is fantastic and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend the Talbot for anyone visiting the South of Dublin, particularly UCD.

Great experience. We were in Dublin due to a family funeral. The 'afters' was at the Talbot and we booked bedrooms there as well to make all the transitions easier. Staff were wonderful and empathetic, allowed us to check in early to get ready for the services. Rooms were very comfortable, had everything we needed. Sunday carvery was very family oriented (you need to book though!), and breakfast/lunch/dinner options hit the mark. It's right across the road from Aircoach stop so easy to get to the airport when it was time to leave. Altogether it was perfect for our needs and on my list of hotels to check out when we're next in town.

My first stay in this hotel and my experience was superb. Warm, welcoming staff; spacious, very comfortable and clean bedroom with everything I needed. Cleaned thoroughly each day with real attention to detail. I didn't have breakfast but lunch in onsite restaurant was delicious. Warmly recommend.

Inizio col dire che non sono solito a scrivere recensioni negative ma questa la devo proprio fare. Appena arrivati premetto di notte erano le 2:00 circa non c'era nessuno all'accoglienza per fare il check-in aspettiamo un ora e fortunatamente dopo che incrocio un tizio che faceva pulizia al bar che stava chiuso, chiama qualcuno per accoglierci. Premetto che la stanza era una standard nulla di particolare anche perché dovevamo stare solo 3 notti per la festa di san patrizio, la cosa che mi ha dato fastidio che non c'era nemmeno una persona che lavorava lì che sapesse non dico parlare ma almeno masticare un po' di italiano, okay tralasciando anche questo le spine della corrente sono quelle americane quindi ho trovate un adattatore o arrangiatevi perché nella stanza non c'era affatto per non parlare della doccia che praticamente era una vasca e quando ti lavavi si bagnava tutto il bagno, e per finire non c'era nemmeno lo spazzolone per pulire il wc..Detto questo mi piace anche dire l'altro che la posizione e distante dal centro ma la fermata del bus sta sia di fronte che giù all'hotel quindi su questo aspetto e positivo anche perché i mezzi pubblici funzionano perfettamente.

I was woken at 23:50hrs by maintenance works being carried out adjacent to my room. I was promised by the hotel staff to get moved to another room but this didnt happen. The works continued for another 20 mins. My nights sleep was disturbed and I was unable to get back to sleep properly. In the morning hotel management refused to deal with the matter and referred me back to Hotels.com. Totally unacceptable

We really enjoyed our stay in the Talbot hotel. The location was excellent as it was really close to Leopardstown for the races. Very friendly and helpful staff. We ate in the hotel on both nights and the food was top class on both nights. There was a great choice on the menu and prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend the Scampi. There was a huge on-site car park. Would highly recommend this hotel and will stay again.

Half hour car drive from the airport straight to the hotel. Check-in was swift and very easy to understand. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. A colleague of mine have specific dietary requirements and they accommodated this lovely venue very clean. 7 minute slow walk from Stillorgen village shops. Live music Saturday evening with Sam Earlwood who was excellent and really entertaining. Definitely a 5 star experience! I would recommend it to friends.

I don’t think I’ve ever really given a poor review, but I’m a bit cheesed off after staying at this hotel. I did raise all issues upon check out, but was met with a bit of a ‘oh well’, which has led me here. 2 night business trip stay. - mattresses are literally the most basic there is. Super uncomfortable. - pillows are very basic 1” thick and well used. - I had no hot water for 1 evening/1 morning (50% of stay). Turns out no one did, but no communication so stood there trying to run a shower for ages hoping it would get hot. It didn’t. Just slide a bit of paper under the door to let me know like any other hotel. - breakfast is the cheapest, most basic quality food. It’s a buffet but served to you by a guy who literally threw it all on the plate in a big pile, massive inconvenience for him. - raised issues on check out, especially about the water, and wasn’t even told it was a problem. I only knew from speaking to other guests at breakfast. Was met with a bit of a ‘oh well’. The only good thing is the on site restaurant- really decent food! Must be independent from the breakfast. Food was great, good service and choice of beers.

Started out fine. The room was nice and decor looked good. Reception was helpful and processed our arrival in a prompt fashion. The 1st night ate in the restaurant and the food was ok so decided to try again the 2nd night / Sunday. Disaster.,.. ordered 2 poke bowls!! Don't really think they had a qualified chef on duty as we basically received 2 X bowls of lettuce? We did complain and 2 bowls of plain rice appeared? I am really annoyed at myself for paying the bill as this was a poor effort and should not have left the kitchen. I can only suggest that you order crisps and peanuts if you are hungry as our experience suggests the kitchen is letting down the hotel. Don't risk eating there.

Nice stay. Big hotel and some of the carpets are looking very tired and dirty. Also a bit strange at breakfast as you need to queue to have the cook place pre cooked hot food on your place. Not sure why you can’t serve yourself given it meant I had to wait several minutes at the buffet- apart from that small issue, a very nice stay

The front desk and room facilities were fine. When it came to food, the first night dinner was most under whelming fish was undercooked as was the batter and the waiter's only answer was free tea or coffee!! Continental breakfast was little in choice and the fruit still half frozen. Suffice too say we ate elsewhere. Would highly recommend not staying here unless bed only

Hôtel très agréable. Chambres spacieuses. C'est très pratique qu'il y ait un restaurant. Nous y avons mangé plusieurs fois et la qualité est au rendez-vous.
