Great stay here! Love the walkability to downtown, the breakfast and dinner on-site were very good, room was spacious and clean. My only issue was that I was under impression they had laundry on-site and planned my trip around that (they don’t). Would definitely stay here again!

We liked the proximity to the city center, easy walking. Breakfast options were very good (and healthy). Staff were friendly and responsive. Parking was tight (limited number of spaces and very hard to get into a space). We couldn't make outgoing local calls from the room, and the tea kettle in the room had to be replaced. Overall, we were very pleased with the property and would stay here again.

Upscale modern hotel. Excellent staff & housekeeping. Great location for the International Oyster Festival. Note: There is no self service laundry at hotel or in Galway City Centre. Hotel laundry service was very pricy (10 euro a nightgown) and not famiky friendly as listed.

Great for walking to just about everything. Parking is easy, and attached to the hotel but it’s not free. Breakfast was decent. Good choice away from the crowds, but super close to walk to the action.

Positives: Very good hotel with a very good breakfast, room was clean and beds very comfortable. Negatives: our room backed onto the life shaft so we could hear the whirling sound every time someone used the lift, also no hot water the shower.

We stayed at several properties around Ireland during our 5 day visit and this was one of our favorites. Although you can tell the property is older they do a fantastic job keeping clean and well maintained. This place felt the most like home for us.

Nice clean and modern hotel within a 10 minute walk from Eyre Square, Quay st. and the waterfront. So many pubs and shops close by! Reasonably priced as well.

Clean, parking on site but costs12.00 euros a day. Clean, adequate. Had a second window to cut out street noise. Nice staff. This hotel was overpriced for what it was. Within walking distance of LatinQuarter so I am guessing that’s why it was priced as high as it was. Biggest complaint was the bed was not a queen but two smaller beds pushed together leaving an uncomfortable seam to sleep on.

Overall a good hotel but I had a few issues. First was during check in. I had specifically booked a room with two beds as I was traveling with a friend. I was informed at checkin that I had a room with a king bed and that I was supposed to have "requested" a 2 bed room. Since the room was advertised as having 2 beds I had not known this. Luckily they managed to find a room with an extra bed. My second problem was the noise level. The rooms are not sound proof at all and our room was on the first floor facing the road. Lots of road noise until close to midnight and then early in the morning. Also, could hear lots of slamming doors which I assume was because we were near a stairwell. The parking is reasonably priced but very difficult. There are posts at the edge of most spots making it very difficult to park, even a very small car. I noticed many other cars circling the lot and having the same trouble parking as myself. On the upside the hotel is convenient to shopping and the sights in Galway and the food was very good.

Great reception from Steve when we arrived! The location is perfect! Close to the train station and Citylink drop off! The rooms were clean, comfy and spacious. Our room was beautiful facing the marina. Galway is an amazing little place with lovely bars and live entertainment! Highly recommend this hotel for your stay!

People were nice. Room was good but small. Clean rooms and overall property. I did find it weird they wanted you to pay for everything up front. There wasn't a room charge option. For example, calling down at night to reserve for breakfast the next morning, they wanted you to come down and pay then, not the next morning at breakfast. Wifi was very spotty. Dropped constantly from my room. Also, one day was a wash because of weather. It was a very boring day killing time. Should have a Netflix option on the TV.

We loved the breakfast buffet- great variety of food and all super tasty! We found the rooms fair sized, but the area felt quite loud with the street beside, and the walls between rooms were VERY thin- we could hear our neighbors watching TV and people shutting doors, and found it hard to sleep because of it. We had a cleaning staff knock and immediately enter our room our first day there while we were in the middle of changing, which was unsettling and made us feel uncomfortable about leaving valuables in the room. No token of apology or any sort of action beyond a verbal apology was offered by the front desk staff. We enjoyed our time in Galway but will definitely stay elsewhere in the future!

We had a very pleasant stay at Harbour Hotel in Galway. Friendly and helpful staff at the check-in desk, a quiet and comfortable room for three people, and a generous and diverse breakfast spread. We would stay here again, when we return to Galway.

Booked a stay for 2 nights. Reservation was made in January for a trip in April. Our booking was prepaid and confirmed by Expedia and several times by the Harbour Hotel prior to our arrival with the most current confirmation just around 2 weeks prior to our scheduled check in. Upon check in we were advised that there was no availability and that the hotel had overbooked themselves. The Harbour Hotel front staff said they tried to contact us through Expedia but were not successful, didn’t try very hard obviously. We were moved to their sister hotel further down the road, appreciative to have a place to sleep but not what we wanted otherwise we would have booked it in the first place. New hotel had a charity event going on and very loud music was playing late night, past midnight. Not ideal….Based only on our situation and experience I would not recommend Harbour Hotel…

Great service and quick staff to help us check-in and out. We had a small layover in Galway, and utilizing the ease of getting into this hotel and parking was lovely. We appreciated their hospitality and will definitely be back to Galway when time allows.

The location of this property is great. It is an easy walk to the Latin Quarter were you will find a lot of shops and restaurants. The gentleman managing our check-in, I think his name was Davidus, was wonderful. The hotel seemed short of dining staff and those that were there were a bit disorganized. The rooms are tired and in need of some renovations and repairs. Overall a decent hotel however I would look for better accommodations if I were to return to Galway.

Great location. 5 minutes walk to shopping, dining and sites. Not on the main tourist streets so you don't have to deal with the crowds when you go back to the hotel. Only 10 minutes walk to either train or bus station so very convenient if you aren't driving a car. Staff was very friendly and they even got us in our room even though we were earlier than regular check-in time.

The seagulls are on top of the apartments behind the hotel and are very noisy. Half the views in the hotel look at the parking garage and apartments. Not what was expected.

We loved our stay in this hotel, it was clean and well kept. We had dinner on our first night in the hotel restaurant which was amazing. The live music entertainment whilst having a drink in the bar was good too. It was in walking distance of the main bars and shops. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel was a short walk to the pedestrian area which we strolled around. However, we had dinner in the hotel restaurant with Precious as our wonderful server. The drinks were good; the food was pretty good. The breakfast the next morning was quite good. The staff at the front desk was quite responsive to the couple of requests we had.

The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered a variety of options. The hotel was clean with lovely Christmas decorations. It was in close walking distance of all the shops, pubs and dining options in the latin quarter. They have their own parking garage and will validate your ticket at the front desk so it does not cost extra for parking. The elevators are quick! Overall, it was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our Ireland road trip.

Bed was fine and big, but comforter was too small for it. Bathroom was not good: low pressure in sink, poor toilet flush and bad shower. Breakfast was included, but not very good, run of the mill buffet at best. I ate at the hotel restaurant and woke up in the middle of the night vomiting multiple times. Parking was confusing, but at least there were signs everywhere saying don't park here for the hotel. The parking was awkward with pillars in every spot, but it was available for a cost. Staff was very friendly. Close enough to walk to the downtown areas, but out of the way enough to be quiet.
