Paris Marriott Charles de Gaulle Airport Hotel

It was a clean hotel with good common space. Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s what you would expect from an airport hotel.

Hotel rooms needed updating, room was clean but a few broken tiles in the bathroom. Water cooler in the lobby was dirty and looked moldy. A few bugs in the lobby area, I brought it up to the management attention

While there were less expensive hotels near the airport, I chose to pay around US$350 per night for this Marriott because I expected the quality, comfort, and service I’ve experienced with this brand. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. My husband and I both travel frequently for work and leisure, so we have stayed in many hotels. We arrived early, fully understanding that check-in was at 3:00 p.m. We left our luggage and spent the day in Paris. When we returned at 4:45 p.m., our room was still not ready, and we had to wait even longer before receiving our keys. Once we finally entered the room, we were surprised by how outdated the hotel was. The room had a muggy smell and was so warm that the staff had to bring us a fan. The rollaway bed for our 8-year-old son was badly worn and sagging. None of these are things I would expect from a Marriott, especially at this price point. Later that evening, we went to the lobby restaurant for dinner. Although the menu was limited, we were happy to order. The biggest disappointment came when we asked if we could take our food to our room. We were told that takeout was not allowed. We even asked if they could simply box up the pizza for our 8-year-old son so he could eat it in the room, but we were refused again. The policy itself seemed unreasonable, but what made the situation worse was the dismissive attitude of the waiter. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

The room was clean but there was some water damage from the shower on the wall and floor and a bad smell in the washroom. Not sure if it was from the plumbing and the extreme heat outside even though The bathroom was clean.
