Hotel Porto Azzurro

Ett slitet hotell som behöver fräschas upp. Dåliga (hårda) sängar, AC som var antingen av eller på, gick ej att reglera och blåste rakt ner i sängen. 5€ för att låna ett trasigt badlakan till poolen är dyrt. Fick ej använda handdukarna från rummet. För en familj med två barn kostade det då 20€ för att bada i en iskall pool. De flesta parrasollen ute vid poolen var trasiga och poolen var ej uppvärmd. Bra frukost och bra läge i byn. Lite besviken på hotellets skick då det fått höga omdömen tidigare.

La struttura non è delle più moderne, ma è molto buona, personale gentile e cordiale. Ottima posizione. I servizi buoni, biciclette gratuite, pullman davanti all'hotel. Piscina ampia, pulizia e silenziosa. Consigliato.

Clean and convenient. Only issue was bicycles that are free to use are not in good condition. I had to repair two bikes to make them rideable.

Cyklar att låna utan kostnad vilket uppskattas då det var ca 31 grader ute och vi önskade komma ut och handla på supermarket samt besöka olika restauranger samt bada i sjön osv. Det är lite långt att gå i värmen. Inte något barn hotell. Baren var öppen och lunchen var bra.

Die Einrichtung ist zwar etwas veraltet, aber dennoch vollkommen in Ordnung und gepflegt. Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal: Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und der Strand sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Ich habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt und komme gerne wieder!

Outstanding reception and service. All amenties. Walking distance to everything, right next to the city's shuttle bus, which is very reasonably priced. Roomy balcony, wholesome breakfast, big, clean pool, bikes for loan. Bar with refreshments open all day. Best of all, they happily keep luggage and let us use the pool before and after checking. Would definitely stay again.

Flott hotell. Fint bassengområde med solsenger rundt og mulighet til å sitte i skyggen. Rent og pent. Rommet ser helt nytt ut, rent og god størrelse. Veldig service innstilt personale som hjalp oss med å finne restaurant og transport videre. Stor og smakfull frokost. Lettvint med shuttlebuss til Sirmione rett utenfor hotellet

We arrived early but were made very welcome & it was no problem to leave our bags with reception & go out exploring on the hotel bikes (Free of charge) There was a slight mix up with our room allocation but it was eventually resolved & the staff were very apologetic. Hotel was in a good location to explore Sirmione old town & new town & close to the bus stop for our onward journey. Pool area was nice & clean. Breakfast was great, lots of choice

Exceptional breakfast buffet, Shuttle to the old town just across from the hotel, free hotel parking, very helpful staff, overall an exceptionally run hotel, will definitely stay there again.

Ich bin dort zum zweiten mal jetzt schon gewesen und finde es super dort! Bin von allem begeistert! Zimmer sind Neu und modern eingerichtet! Das Personal dort ist immer Freundlich! Es ist dirt alles sauber!

Dejligt rent hotel. God service, dejlig morgenmad med stort udvalg. Stor pool. Virkelig sødt personale. Pæne værelser, flot badeværelse. Rolige omgivelser Gratis cykler Vi kommer gerne igen

Ok værelse men ikke stort, stor terrasse, som deles med 3 andre værelser. Fint poolområde og mulighed for at spise morgenmad og frokost udenfor.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Porto Azzuro. All the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Special shout out to Andrea behind the bar who served a delicious range of complimentary snacks alongside the poolside cocktails. We had the 2 bedroom family room which had two balconies, perfect for getting the kids off to sleep and still being able to sit out on the balcony and enjoy a glass of wine. We did find the bed rather on the hard side but the staff arranged for a mattress topper to be fitted which made it very comfortable. The breakfast and lunch menu had a good selection and the staff were attentive. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze sowohl vor dem Hotel als auch in der Tiefgarage. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut, es gab eine sehr große Auswahl an Brot, Obst, Wurst, Käse, Müsli, Joghurt, Waffeln, Eier, Schinken, Kuchen, Donuts, Lasagne, Pizza, Burger....Jeden Tag etwas anderes, so gut wie kein Wunsch bleibt offen, einzig Lachs gab es nicht, aber das ist ja nicht schlimm. Die Zimmer sind praktisch eingerichtet, leider etwas hellhörig und für Personen mit einem leichten Schlaf, könnte es ärgerlich sein wenn man die Nachbarn hört. Aber ansonsten ein sehr schönes Hotel. Bis in die Altstadt von Sirmione sind es ca. 30 Minuten zu Fuss, oder man leiht sich die Fahrräder vom Hotel, welche man kostenlos bekommt oder aber man fährt mit dem Shuttlebus, der hält quasi direkt vor dem Hotel, kostet 2€ pro Person pro Strecke. keine 10 Minuten vom Hotel entfernt, gibt es genügent Möglichkeiten um Essen zu gehen und auch direkt gegenüber vom Hotel ist ein Restaurant.

Our room had two had 3 single beds and one queen bed. No room to move or sit, they wanted 20 euros per night extra to change rooms, no wifi unless you stand in the hall doorway, they thought that was fine, the safe was on the floor, such a chore to get on the floor to use it. Breakfast and lobby bar were good. I have photos, just terrible.

Good selection of food at breakfast, Staff all very helpful and friendly. My room was recently re done and was beautifully done.

Die Betten waren gemütlich und wir konnten gut schlafen. Es stand in unserem Doppelzimmer noch ein Zustellbett herum. Dies war ein wenig störend, da das Zimmer nicht sehr Groß war. Damit würde die zur Verfügung stehende Fläche noch geringer. Außerdem kommt das ganze Hotel langsam in die Jahre. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Alles da was das Herz begehrt. Der Service war außerordentlich gut.

New room

Nice hotel located quite close to the «new» town of Sirmione. Positive experiences: The hotel offers a big swimming pool with plenty of sun beds avaliable. There is a bar/restaurant avaliable in the hotel/pool area. They offer both drinks, ice coffee, milkshakes and lunch/dinner options. Food and drinks are excellent. Breakfast offers a wide selection of food, and is also of good quality. The staff is friendly. Free parking in a garage under the hotel (limited spaces avaliable) and free parking outside. Easy to access with car. Minibar in the room. Shuttlebus to the old town of Sirmione (castle) stops literally right outside the hotel. Getting to/from was easy. Negative experiences: The rooms was of OK size. The beds were terrible - rock hard. AC didnt function properly, so the rooms didnt cool quite enough. Especially during day time the AC struggled to keep the room somewhat cold. There was a heatwave and We had between 36-38 degrees during the day, and barely below 30 at night. During a «normal» summer the AC might be powerful enough. The bathroom was outdated and partly falling apart.

When I checked in, the room toilet had not been flushed. Asked the staff about it. there was no follow-up. The toilet also would not stop running and the staff thought that was normal. I had to press a second button to stop, how dumb. The evening check-in man was nice, but the woman in the morning was kind of rude. I did like the bike rental.

Walkable to everything and staff very friendly

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a newly renovated room, which was lovely (a bit cramped for space for good closet/storage). Front desk staff were incredibly friendly and provided many local recommendations. Fridge in room did not function very well. Pool area was great! Free parking was very much appreciated and easy to come by. Great to have free access to bicycles to explore the town. Buffet breakfast had plentiful selection. Restaurant across the street had excellent food at reasonable prices - ate there twice!

Andreas was exceptionally helpful and friendly. He was very welcoming and was able to answer any queries we had.

This hotel looks good from the outset but it has been run down and has old carpets and bathrooms. Morning breakfast does not have much warm food except (boiled and scrambled eggs). Staff are not greatly helpful and should have better knowledge of Area. Overall it was ok for a couple of nights stay.

Dette hotellet var kjempe! Den delen av hotellet vi bodde på nye oppusset for ikke veldig lenge siden og var over all forventning til type rom vi trodde vi fikk. Personellet som jobbet der var veldig imøtekommende ! God frokost. Shuttle buss til Sirmione gikk rett utenfor hotellet.

The location is at a very convenient (walkable) distance from the castle of Sirmione, without being too close. This way we avoided the traffic jam.

Lovely hotel very well placed for all bus routes and within walking distance to Simione but it is a good 30 mins walk. Just missing a kettle in the room and a bottle of water would have been really appreciated. Fantastic spot.

This hotel is at the beginning of the peninsula, so you have to walk pretty far to get to the castle and old town. There is a bus that makes a loop and stops every 20 minutes, but while we were standing at the bus stop, the bus just passed us by two times! So we stood in the heat for 50 minutes when we could have already have been there if we walked, which we finally did. We asked the lady at the front desk why the bus didn’t stop two times, but she didn’t know. Breakfast was good. One of the girls, Sophia, is an exceptionally hard worker. She kept the breakfast area clean and everything well stocked. She was also friendly and professional.

A very enjoyable stay! Looking forward to visiting again soon! Hotel is situated in perfect location - lovely restaurants within a few minutes walk, close to local beach and nearby shops. Very safe area. Hotel has a lovely, clean, quiet, pool area. Sun loungers available throughout the day, not overcrowded. Mostly families and couples. Hotel rooms are exceptionally clean and spacious. We stayed in new design rooms with view over Lake Garda - stunning. Perfect to watch thunderstorms over the lake in the evening! Hotel food was amazing - fresh, excellent choice and very reasonably priced. Staff very friendly - quick service and excellent recommendations for local restaurants. Complimentary cheese boards and snacks throughout the day. Shuttle bus (stop opposite hotel) arrives every 20 minutes to Sirimone (€2.50 each). Shuttle bus runs to 12.30 am. Excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Had a fabulous stay at this hotel. Would thoroughly recommend it. Clean, comfortable, great breakfasts and lovely pool and pool area. Great location about 30 mins walk from old town but there is a shuttle bus that stops outside the Hotel and you can be in the old Town in ten minutes. Lots of good restaurants close to hotel too. Hotel bar serves good selection of food until 6 pm.

Really liked this hotel. Like others in Italy the shower is a bit small, but worked excellent. Service was impeccable and friendly. Include the breakfast option, it it totally worth it. Will be back.

Schönes Hotel in guter Lage. Das Frühstück ist mittelmäßig. Rühreier aus dem Tetrapack sind in den Hotels mittlerweile Standard. Hier auch. Für ein gutes Frühstück benötigt man nicht viel, aber Qualität. Der Kaffee war aus allen drei Maschinen ungenießbar. Speziell für Italien, das Land des Kaffees wirklich nicht gut. Das Personal ist fantastisch. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

The hotel is really well located to either head into old town by bus, walk to the lake for water sports or along to supermarket and nearby bars and restaurants. Staff are so helpful and pleasant. And the breakfast selection is great. We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay here and would highly recommend!

Staff were so helpful and friendly. Gluten-free breakfast options were very good, we had a basket of bread, croissants etc every morning. Free bike hire was really useful. Room was a bit dated but clean and tidy. Area around the hotel was nice and quiet, in walking distance from shops and restaurants. About a 30 minute walk to the beautiful old town.

The hotel was in a good spot and it was easy to reach many places from there. Parking was a bit of an issue as there are only a few spaces at the hotel (around 10 in the car park and around 5 under ground but very tricky to turn if you enter and it is full) Other than that there is free parking on a slip road near the front but at busy times this became full so it meant a bit of a walk. The room was nice and bathroom was modern and clean. The beds were firm but comfortable. The fridge was not very cold and we had two small bottles of water provided on the first day of the stay but this was not replenished. The patio was shared with 4 rooms and this meant a lack of privacy. Some rooms have a lake view. The pool was clean & a great size. Breakfast was good but to be honest not as the photographs suggested. The savoury options were plentiful although the scrambled eggs were stone cold when my daughter had them. I was a little disappointed with the fruit choice. There were a couple of small dishes with apple and possibly pear which resembled tinned fruit but only a couple of strawberries one day& a couple of pieces of cantaloupe melon on another day. Some pastries were cut in half but there was a good choice. There were lots of messages about not being able to eat or drink anything not purchased in the hotel and messages about not leaving food out in the room because of ants but we didn’t have any ants in our room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our visit
