Great hotel for visiting La Maddelena, convenient for the shops and restaurants, its not the most modern of hotels, but the location makes up for it. There is no pool or beach front, nor is there anyway to sunbathe, its a hotel to explore from, just by the port.

Surely it’s not a 4* hotel: - The breakfast is very mediocre, and all plates are the size of cup plates, apparently to prevent guests from having ‘more’ food than they expect them to have - There are no sockets next to bed, only old USB-A ports which nowadays no one is using - The are no water glasses in the room. So we had to purchase the plastic cups from the supermarket nearby - TV didn’t work (didn’t turn on) - No noise cancellation, every time someone is passing by or slams the door or walking in the room upstairs you can hear it loud and clear The hotel is quite clean however, and location is quite close to restaurants and bars in Palau. However it comes at costs of extra noise in case there is some performance nearby (until 12-1am) There is also a separate underground parking, which is useful given that public parking next to the hotel is very busy. It costs 19€ per day though, and if you want to keep a car for another few hours after checkout they would charge you a full extra day

Leuk, net hotel met mooie kamers aan de haven. Voldoende parkeergelegenheid voor de deur maar wij hebben er voor gekozen om (tegen betaling) gebruik te maken van de parkeergarage van het hotel. Vriendelijk personeelzowel in het hotel als in de hotel bar. Strand op loopafstand evenals de veerboot naar La Maddalena.

Vriendelijk onthaal, kleine kamer maar ok. Ontbijt is goed. Vlakbij de haven, prima voor een dag cruise naar Magdalena eilanden. Een zwembad ontbreekt.

Our stay of 4 nights was excellent, room with a private patio amazing place to sit and relax after busy day at beach or at night to enjoy a drink or cigarette. Breakfast and service was very good too. Location steps to the port where you can take the ferry to La Madalena , at night market across the hotel and a variety of restautants.Parking free from 8:00PM to 8:00 AM, we didnt use the parking from hotel. Awesome stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights while on our honeymoon. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel is located right in the port with lots of restaurants, bars, and shopping within walking distance. Good value for money for the area.

Need to repaint around the elevator entrance. It is not nice. Need to just get rid of the red in the hallways. It’s too 80’ looking. Need color refresh.

This is one of the nicest places in Palau and in a great location. Staff was friendly and the room clean and well maintained. Location offers easy parking and access to the town and port. That being said, the rooms are generally poorly appointed and I would not consider this a 4-star hotel. The amenities are not up to par. There was only a sheet on the bed and we had to dig out a comforter and additional pillows from a bag in the closet to bolster the thin ones on the bed. However, most disappointing was the absence of any type of kettle and tea/coffee station in the room. When I inquired I was told the « standard » rooms don’t come equipped with this though all other rooms do. While the description of the standard room does not include a coffee corner, lots of the general photos show this in the rooms and only a very astute reader would notice this possible discrepancy between room classes. It is also very odd for a hotel to limit this type of amenity in the room. In addition, the internet was slow and weak. While working in the room, the signal dropped multiple times. It may be ok for casual internet browsing but not much else. In short, while this may be one of the best options in town, I’m not sure it’s the best value.

Le personnel est extrêmement sympathique et prévenant. Nous n’etions pas satisfaits de notre chambre et ils ont essayé de trouver une solution. Elles étaient très polies et se rendaient toujours disponibles. La chambre était spacieuse et confortable. Tout était propre. Petits biscuits délicieux pour nous accueillir. Check-in staff Marco was very nice and friendly. He showed us the room and explained everything. The room was clean and tidy. Their continental breakfast was good. Good location, the hotel is surrounded by many restaurants. For the ferry to La Maddelena, the port is only few mins walk away. There is a night market right outside the hotel every night. Will come back for sure if we need to stay in Palau again!

The hotel was clean with friendly staff. Just a couple of things I would point out are no kettle in the room and the air con wasnt very powerful. To counteract my friends kettle situation the hotel gave her free hotwater everyday as she bought her own teabags. The free breakfast was good with plenty of variety

Parking was not the best. I had to run out and feed the meter. The market was noisy as were the neighbours. Hotel staff were excellent, especially Marco. Breakfast was basic and the room it was served in was not the best, but the breakfast staff were very nice. The shared balcony was not great for privacy reasons. The advertised water view was quite an exaggeration.

Took the suite and it had a good balcony with a Jacuzzi. The location is good and the quality of the room is excellent.

Location is excellent but there is a large parking lot between the hotel and the marina so views are not the best. The hotel is very old (it’s in the name) but once you open the doors and windows it freshens up pretty quickly.

Hotel is central location to the port and town. Nice breakfast and spacious modern rooms and baths. AC was a problem. In the room it would take several hours to get comfortable (22-23) however AC was on a timer and would turn off after 90 minutes, so if you left the room or were sleeping would wake up in hot sweat. Breakfast room AC did not work either.

The hotel was clean and staff very accommodating. One premium room the AC was only a fan, so room was too hot. The breakfast was nice. The marina area lively with lots of restaurant choices.

Our stay of 4 nights was excellent, room with a private patio amazing place to sit and relax after busy day at beach or at night to enjoy a drink or cigarette. Breakfast and service was very good too. Location steps to the port where you can take the ferry to La Madalena , at night market across the hotel and a variety of restautants.Parking free from 8:00PM to 8:00 AM, we didnt use the parking from hotel. Awesome stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights while on our honeymoon. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel is located right in the port with lots of restaurants, bars, and shopping within walking distance. Good value for money for the area.

Außergewöhnlich freundliches Personal, sehr sauberes Hotel, das Frühstück ausreichend. Sehr zentral und zu Fuß alles erreichbar ist. Einziges minus, dass sie uns für eine Nacht die Garage verrechnet haben was wir nicht in Anspruch genommen haben. Wir haben mit dem Auto auf der Straße geparkt. Absolutes no go, Frechheit.

The room, front desk staff and hotel are very good . But the breakfast can be significantly improved . The coffee was terrible . They have a beautiful coffee machine behind the bar which remains unused while they make guests use an automatic machine from which the coffee comes out tasting terrible . That is unacceptable in Italy . I went outside to get some sun with my coffee and the breakfast staff scolded me when I came back in to return the cup stating that we are not allowed to “remove items “- as though I was going to steal a cheap coffee mug . Ridiculous . The food quality at breakfast was poor . They need to change this . Otherwise , was a nice stay with friendly staff .

Le personnel est extrêmement sympathique et prévenant. Nous n’etions pas satisfaits de notre chambre et ils ont essayé de trouver une solution. Elles étaient très polies et se rendaient toujours disponibles. La chambre était spacieuse et confortable. Tout était propre. Petits biscuits délicieux pour nous accueillir. Mais nous étions déçus du balcon. Nous avions pris la suite junior afin d’avoir un balcon avec vue sur le port. This hotel is in a perfect position. It also offers car parking but you park out front for free in the car park. Our luggage was lost and the staff went above and beyond to help us with retrieving our luggage. They have a bar next door with snacks but surrounded by restaurants and shops on Main Street

Great hotel for visiting La Maddelena, convenient for the shops and restaurants, its not the most modern of hotels, but the location makes up for it. There is no pool or beach front, nor is there anyway to sunbathe, its a hotel to explore from, just by the port.

The Location of the property is perfect for catching the Ferry early the next morning to go to the Maddalena islands . The hotel location is ideal for shopping and for the nightlife. Every night an outdoor market sets up in front of the hotel from 8 pm until 1 am . Its nice as you can walk around in front of your own hotel and its nice and lively at night. There is a huge parking lot to park your car in front of the hotel . The white lines parking is free and the blue lines you pay for parking . At night from 8 pm to 8 am the blue lines parking is free for overnight. Hotel staff is very helpful and polite and lent me an adapter for my blowdryer . Staff was helpful in suggestions for dinner etc. and were super friendly and very nice. Definitely recommend staying here . Location is perfect .

Location is excellent but there is a large parking lot between the hotel and the marina so views are not the best. The hotel is very old (it’s in the name) but once you open the doors and windows it freshens up pretty quickly.

Surely it’s not a 4* hotel: - The breakfast is very mediocre, and all plates are the size of cup plates, apparently to prevent guests from having ‘more’ food than they expect them to have - There are no sockets next to bed, only old USB-A ports which nowadays no one is using - The are no water glasses in the room. So we had to purchase the plastic cups from the supermarket nearby - TV didn’t work (didn’t turn on) - No noise cancellation, every time someone is passing by or slams the door or walking in the room upstairs you can hear it loud and clear The hotel is quite clean however, and location is quite close to restaurants and bars in Palau. However it comes at costs of extra noise in case there is some performance nearby (until 12-1am) There is also a separate underground parking, which is useful given that public parking next to the hotel is very busy. It costs 19€ per day though, and if you want to keep a car for another few hours after checkout they would charge you a full extra day

Had a wonderful stay at the La vecchia Fonte. Roberto on front desk was very helpful Hotel is in a great location The only down side is the breakfast. It was very light with extremely poor choices. There was no fresh fruit but there was plenty of flies around.

O hotel é confortável , pegamos uma suíte com sacada de frente para o Porto , vista linda . O grande problema do hotel é o desjejum ! Péssimo ! Sem frutas , suco aguado , ar condicionado insuficiente , uma única máquina de café para atender dezenas de hóspedes ! Somente 2 atendentes batendo louças e talheres !Barulheira , super desagradável !! Por isso , nota do hotel é 6 para mim !!!

We loved our stay here. Beautiful property, elegant, tasteful, nice staff. Generous, lovely rooms, crisp gorgeous sheets and the most comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom nicely done with soft towels. Lots of hot water, fairly roomy shower. French doors open to the garden and the nice little town. Church bells ringing. Very generous buffet breakfast with courteous, smiling staff. Great late lunch in the town. Took the La Maddalena Archipelago all day boat trip, a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Parking was easy, as well.

Hotel is central location to the port and town. Nice breakfast and spacious modern rooms and baths. AC was a problem. In the room it would take several hours to get comfortable (22-23) however AC was on a timer and would turn off after 90 minutes, so if you left the room or were sleeping would wake up in hot sweat. Breakfast room AC did not work either.

The hotel was clean with friendly staff. Just a couple of things I would point out are no kettle in the room and the air con wasnt very powerful. To counteract my friends kettle situation the hotel gave her free hotwater everyday as she bought her own teabags. The free breakfast was good with plenty of variety
