If you stay in the cabins there's no air conditioning, no bathroom and no TV. They shared bathroom was disgusting. Toilet seat busted just milking it for what it's worth.

Great stop along 395. Super friendly staff. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with chairs and tables looking across 395 at Mono Lake. Older motel showing some wear. The rooms are clean and functional. The Basin Cafe is really good. Lake View Lodge has never disappointed in the several times I’ve stayed there.

At short notice, there were not many option for a place to stay around Yosemite. So we book Lake View Lodge and we had Cottage with 1 queen bed. All Cottage does not have A/C. It is very hot for summer time. The linens are outdated, no body wash, towels are very old, should have some new ones.

Convenient to Mono Lake. Room was dingy, restaurant was closed on Tuesdays and didn’t open for breakfast on Wednesday morning. Ice machine was broken. Very noisy AC. No view of the lake. Extremely expensive for so many disappointments. Checking in staff didn’t show much enthusiasm. The grounds are very pretty.

Beautiful Gardens, great location (395 near Tioga Rd 120) good restaurant on site - The Basin Cafe, very convenient to hiking trails in Eastern Yosemite and the Mono Basin. Our group of 10-16 hikers have enjoyed staying there for 4-8 days several different summers. Best place to stay in Lee vining!

The toilet was not securely fastened to the floor. Moved around a lot. Curtains didn't block the security lights outside so it was like daylight in the room. No bedside power receptacles. Good thing we brought an extension cord. No soap dish in the shower. Bed sheets didn't cover the mattress. Parking lot was very tight. I think we got ripped off not only on the price but all the extra fees.

Lake View Lodge no longer has a lake view -- but is otherwise a nice, basic and comfortable place. Pretty grounds. Down side: rooms were musty, and several of us guests had to prop open their doors to air them out (prob won't b a prob when busy season arrives).

So disappointed. Our room was not only dirty(carpet was disgusting) but it was tiny with cheap old furniture. The worst part however, was the bed that made loud creaking noises every time you turned over in bed. Don’t waste your money. Drive the 10 minutes down 395 to the June Lake area with better rooms.

Very nice young man checked us in. Tv is VERY small, both bathroom doors did not shut. Shower handle was almost impossible to turn on. Beautiful grounds and nice on site restaurant.

Very dated room, dark even with lights on. Comfortable bed and pillows, but with cheap linens. Toilet unusually low to the ground, 15", definitely challenging for senior citizen with bad knees. Heat pump was very effective, but noisy right next to the bed.

Basic hotel. Quiet if you’re not lakeside. Room was adequate. Two issues from my room: 1. The bathroom sink was super high. The basin was on top of the cabinet and for me was chest high. This made washing my hands or face quite awkward and uncomfortable. 2. No place to charge electronic devices. There was one very loose outlet several feet from the bed, and I had to unplug the coffee pot to charge my phone. Thank goodness I had brought a long cord. I had to charge my camera battery in the bathroom.

The room was fine. Reasonable size and HVAC was good. Location was convenient. As other reviewers alluded to, they don't adequately staff the lobby. I was only able to check in on my third attempt. Furthermore, they tack on a bogus $11/night "environmental fee" that wasn't on the listed taxes & fees. This isn't a local statute. They're simply tacking on an arbitrary fee when it's too late to change plans. I communicated to Expedia that we need confidence in information when making our itinerary. Otherwise, don't list the property through your app.

I had asked for a room with bath and the guy at the front desk said the room came indeed with a bath. Well, it did not. I asked to switch, he said it was booked up. But the sign in the window said: Vacancy. So I think he was just too lazy to do the switch. The room was nasty. Hidden behind a staircase, dark...the head of the bed was tucked underneath the only window, so you either woke up at 6am with the sunshine or got the streetlamps to shine on your head all night. Not a good feel overall.

Good place to stay if you're exploring/hiking along Tioga Road in Yosemite National Park. Although the rooms are clearly aging and in need of renovations, they are large, fairly clean, and had comfortable enough beds for a one-night stay. They charge a bogus per night fee of $11.20, that they claim is for conservation. The name Lake View Lodge is not very appropriate as the motel doesn't have any views of the lake, at least from my room. The nightly rate is also heavily inflated for what you get due to the proximity to the Yosemite Tioga Gate Entrance. Overall, I would stay again for a short stay if in the Tioga Road area.

On check in we had to fill out a waiver for our vehicle—the parking area in front of the room was too small and cramped to accommodate all the cars. The property was advertised as being 20 miles from a national park—after checking in, the employees told us that the entrance to the park was closed and we would have to take an alternate route that took 4 1/2 hours! They claimed they had no responsibility to inform us of this since we had booked through a third party. We had reserved the room for two nights and asked to have one night refunded since we had no desire to drive a 9 hour round trip. They refused even afte hotels.com tried to intervene. We ended up paying for a room nearer the park and losing our money at this place. Also, The room was filled with flies—we killed at least seven large black flies. There was a suspicious smell to the room—fumigation?

The room was a little noisy due to the fact we faced a main highway and because the property was a bit older, the windows did little to shut outside noise out. Our room was in a hallway that looked across to utility rooms and a wall. The other window looked out back to a dirt parking area. Not much of a view at the "Lake View" lodge. However the desk clerk was very helpful and provided us with extra pillows as requested.

It was a nice property. Good view of the lake. The room was clean. The sinks are high off the ground, so awkward for short people. The same as for the a/c unit. The ice machine didn’t work. The restaurant was outstanding!! Loved the ambiance and food.
