A lovely property. We stayed in room 12 above the office. Had a view of the beach from dining table( window does not open) and a lovely private deck off bedroom. Immaculate and up to date. Comfortable bed. Laundry facilities. So close to the beach. Drum circle on Saturday and Wednesday nights goes on for a long time next door on public beach. Rooms not sound proof and could hear our neighbors a few times. Very close to several restaurants. Easy parking right in front. Road divides property and small pool on intercostal side. Beachside does not mean you have a view. Needs a little work on landscaping but maybe because of hurricanes. Very busy road in front.

This property is in a prime location!! It is in an area that has quick access to anything you need, but the traffic is not overwhelming and busy! The facilities are nice! The pool is clean and was not busy while we visited. The room was clean and had everything we would need!

Loved our stay right on the beach! Unit was clean and roomy! Beach was right outback easy to access. Location did have washer and dryer. I did have issue with washer after front office was closed and contacted the after office hours to be answered right away. Problem was fixed immediately. Front desk was very friendly and helpful! I had forgot my medicine in unit- front desk had saved it for me and had it in office when I called to inquire about it. Pool was awesome to cool off in after hot beach day! Shells were amazing! Many restaurants near

Stayed only one night, but wish it was longer! Room was nicely updated and all appliances were new. Owners were friendly and helpful. Kitchens decently equipped, but I didn't really use much. What makes this motel really noteworthy is the location right on the beach. Lots of places to sit on chairs and tables at motel, or grab a lounge chair and hang at the beach. The pictures do not lie! Highly recommended.

We ❤️ coming every year! The hotel staff are always very nice! This time we stayed in room #12. We really loved having a private balcony/porch area. I do wish they had reserved parking spots bc sometimes that can be a issue. We are definitely looking forward to next year!

Very small hours to check in and out. Door to the bathroom was completely broken. Tons of mold in the bathroom shower. Parking is really difficult during rush hours. Must have dedicated parking, having to Lyft or Uber in this town takes at least 30 minutes which ruins the whole point of having a beachfront hotel.

This area was nice, walking distance to two great restaurants. Unit was in the back of the beach but it was visible and you could sit on the patio and have beachfront view. Very nice In the unit- the floor was so dirty not with sand but dirty! If you didn’t keep the fan running it was really damp. The couch was really worn out! Very low water pressure. All minor things but fir the price I was expecting it to be really nice

The Resort was on the beach and that’s about all I can say. I expect better for my $532 for 2 nights 😱Yes our studio was nicely remodeled, but not clean. The floors and shower stall had a weird film. The bed was comfortable, but the sheets had multiple stains and hair. The office closes at 5pm daily and check-in is at 4!! No time to check in unload and start finding these things out to even complain. No ice available for guests. We were told to drive over the bridge to purchase ice! So much noise from teenagers jumping off the bridge with loud music going constant til around 11 each night. lots of police driving thru and often talking to the kids

Our room exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and had everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. The view of the beach was great! That was one thing I had requested and was not disappointed.

We enjoyed this property! It was very clean and the owners were very accommodating. We had been on a 13 day road trip around the outskirts of FL and had just left the Keys and loved this stop more than our FL Keys stop. The beach was amazing with an abundance of shells, breathtaking sunsets and the accommodations were exactly what my husband and I needed for our 2 night stay. If we ever get back down that way we will definitely stay there again!

Cute hotel, but a lot to be desired for the location and price. Fail: I always wipe down surfaces upon arrival, check bedding, etc - the kitchen countertop was dirty, the placemats and TV remotes oily/dusty, and the bed quilts had various unsightly stains (eww). Win: The staff was great!! One quilt was replaced (the other bed wasn’t being used, but both quilts were removed for cleaning). Fail: As a beach resort, it was disappointing no beach / pool towels were provided (if people nip them, charge the room, or simply check the towels in/out). Win: Some small beach chairs available. Fail: zero room amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion). While I dislike the waste created by these (and always appreciate protecting the environment), these small items are standard conveniences (sometimes necessities) at even the most basic hotels, so at this price point they could at least offer them on request (at no charge). The convenience of the beach being in walking distance was great. It was like an apartment in my unit & was newly remodeled due to hurricane damage. Was very nice. I would definitely stay again. My only dislikes was...No beach towels or lawn chairs were available. Really dusty in the cubbards. Had to wash everything before use.

We really enjoyed our time at A Beach Retreat! The location is unbeatable, just steps from the beach and easy to find. Our room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Parking was easy and stress-free. The staff was friendly and helpful, and even the other guests were warm and easy to talk to. It had a laid-back, welcoming vibe. The hotel is also conveniently close to lots of restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

The room was perfect for two, we stayed in #19 from Saturday to Saturday. It was clean and quiet. Nice place to hose off after coming up from the beach. Served our purpose well. Loved the short walk to Pops and the app you offered, that came in handy especially the Beach Gear people that was a great amenity. Some improvements that need to be made is definitely the bed, extremely squeaky and small for us, I slept on the couch which was ok but not great. Pretty held back on the towels would have liked four but were only allowed 2. After day five we finally had the maintenance guy look at our shower as we had no water pressure, he did fix it and we did have one great day of showering, lol. The patio between the units needs some kind of shading above, not a whole lot of shaded area to sit out of the sun. Overall it was nice I would give it a total of 4 out of 5 stars.

Very close to Beach. This unit the view of the beach was actually block by foliage. I just had to walk about 30 ft. to the beach. No Shampoo/Conditioner provided is really the only thing that I can say as a negative. I would stay again.

Excellent location and friendly staff. Condo was fine but extremely poorly stocked kitchen. Couldn't find enough kitchen utensils to cook a simple meal. The bed WAS HORRIBLE! Very saggy in the middle. Awful. I slept on the couch which was just a little better.

Our weekends stay here was enjoyable. We were slightly disappointed upon finding that choosing a seaside room does not necessarily give you a sea view. I would recommend that anyone who books for 4 people and plans to arrive late- that you notify management and request bedding and towels. We did request and were given bedding the morning after we arrived. Management was very pleasant and easy to work with!

Nice location. We had the 1 bed ground floor. Newly remodeled. Individually owned units with an office that can book and take care of issues. Like a condo but not. WiFi didn’t work for us the whole time there. They tried to fix it. Verizon data service was weak for us. Bedside phone charging was hard. Needed to ask for extension cord to plug behind bed. It was a pain that way. Office was closed Sunday but the sign on office said open 7 days a week. So there were some things that took a few days to straightens out. Office gal was nice. Maintenance man was nice. Location on beach was great.

The Resort was on the beach and that’s about all I can say. I expect better for my $532 for 2 nights 😱Yes our studio was nicely remodeled, but not clean. The floors and shower stall had a weird film. The bed was comfortable, but the sheets had multiple stains and hair. The office closes at 5pm daily and check-in is at 4!! No time to check in unload and start finding these things out to even complain. No ice available for guests. We were told to drive over the bridge to purchase ice! So much noise from teenagers jumping off the bridge with loud music going constant til around 11 each night. lots of police driving thru and often talking to the kids

Great place to stay on the water. If you’re looking for a full service hotel, this is not for you it’s a quiet quaint place to stay on the beach. The office is open 9-5 to exchange and get new towels. No room service on a daily basis. Room was clean and comfortable with a full kitchen

Room wasn't ready until after 5:00, then it was not acceptable due to it's condition, location to the pool, and nosy kids. After discussing with staff, we were moved to another room that was nice.

Had to have our room moved a couple of times, but management was accommodating. They also addressed a couple of other issues that we had. Location on the gulf is excellent. They are still recovering from last year’s hurricane, but they are getting close.

Great find right on a private, local beach, away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger tourist areas. More than fair price point for the ability to walk right onto the beach, and the interior of the units have been updated nicely. Comfortable bed in the bedroom. Pullout sofa was a bit of a challenge, but no overcome-able. Staff very helpful and friendly. Awesome for sunsets off the Gulf, and a good local eats right there. Loved the town of Venice nearby. Gets REALLY dark in the area, though - seemed like our hotel lights were the only ones on! Overall a great choice for a nice, laid back atmosphere - definitely recommend!

We enjoyed this property! It was very clean and the owners were very accommodating. We had been on a 13 day road trip around the outskirts of FL and had just left the Keys and loved this stop more than our FL Keys stop. The beach was amazing with an abundance of shells, breathtaking sunsets and the accommodations were exactly what my husband and I needed for our 2 night stay. If we ever get back down that way we will definitely stay there again!

Nice location. We had the 1 bed ground floor. Newly remodeled. Individually owned units with an office that can book and take care of issues. Like a condo but not. WiFi didn’t work for us the whole time there. They tried to fix it. Verizon data service was weak for us. Bedside phone charging was hard. Needed to ask for extension cord to plug behind bed. It was a pain that way. Office was closed Sunday but the sign on office said open 7 days a week. So there were some things that took a few days to straightens out. Office gal was nice. Maintenance man was nice. Location on beach was great.

We really enjoyed our time at A Beach Retreat! The location is unbeatable, just steps from the beach and easy to find. Our room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Parking was easy and stress-free. The staff was friendly and helpful, and even the other guests were warm and easy to talk to. It had a laid-back, welcoming vibe. The hotel is also conveniently close to lots of restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

A lovely property. We stayed in room 12 above the office. Had a view of the beach from dining table( window does not open) and a lovely private deck off bedroom. Immaculate and up to date. Comfortable bed. Laundry facilities. So close to the beach. Drum circle on Saturday and Wednesday nights goes on for a long time next door on public beach. Rooms not sound proof and could hear our neighbors a few times. Very close to several restaurants. Easy parking right in front. Road divides property and small pool on intercostal side. Beachside does not mean you have a view. Needs a little work on landscaping but maybe because of hurricanes. Very busy road in front.

Nice place for a relaxing weekend trip. Proximity to the beach is the best part. Clean (although the room smelled like weed) and had everything needed for a quick getaway. Could use some signage - arriving after dark made it difficult to navigate.

We arrived very early but allowed to check i. early. The proximity to the beach, bay and local eateries was amazing. The only slight negative was our room was fairly close to an area where noisy young people gathered at night near the boat launch. Otherwise it was wonderful.

This place is right on the beach / bay. We chose the beach side efficiency and were delighted. All the guests and staff were extremely friendly. It was so great, I had a hard time prying my wife away from the property to do other things. It’s very close to the Nokomis public beach but it technically it is a private beach immediately north. We had a blast here and would definitely recommend this to the rest of the world. We felt like we saw Italy and Greece as we spent time in Venice, FL and Tarpon Springs, Fl. This place is well situated between Naples and Tampa to make this a vacationers paradise.

This destination was so perfect it will become a regular for us! The staff was as warm and welcoming as the breeze coming off of the coast! Perfect place to enjoy some quiet serenity, get away, and enjoy beautiful sunsets!
