I appreciate the price, but no elevator access was not disclosed until after we checked-in and there is a NO refund policy. I don’t think it’s right they don’t post that on the website or before check in and then tell us there’s a no refund policy. My father is disabled and cannot climb 3 flights of stairs. So he couldn’t stay in the extra room I booked him. I believe that’s false advertising and just bad business. The hotel is close to lots of restaurants and stores, so that was nice.

Overall, the hotel was ok. The staff was amazing, very nice, and caring. If you drive a large SUV or a Truck, the parking is very challenging.

The staff at check in was very friendly and I appreciate him. This facility is worn out and the carpet in the hallways and staircase is worn, stained, and has visible filth. The room isn't a smoking room but smells a bit like a smoking. Wall paper is torn and stained in hallways.

The Shilo Inn felt kind of dirty. I’ve seen worse. The bed sheets had a stain. The elevator was dirty and rundown. They didn’t have breakfast. Was not a particularly good part of Salem.

Stains ALL OVER the room, chairs, carpet, BED SHEETS and most importantly on the PILLOWS, worst room I have ever seen!! The TV was all blue. I requested a refund and was completely denied. I contacted the web site and were not able to do anything, I tried getting a hold of the Hotels manager and I am still waiting for their call back. I am still seeking a refund!!!

Property was in a fair location. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness example front entrance had bird poop all over entry way. It needed a good cleaning. Elevator's fooring was badly damaged and needed replacing. Our room 's furniture was ripped and torn. In general the whole was building was badly worn down. Needs repainting and deep cleaning.

I was literally there just for a quick overnight stay and didn’t really care how the hotel was. I was a little nervous because of the location. I just needed a bed to tie me over for the night. I was pleasantly surprised! The lobby was nothing spectacular. But the room was clean, quiet and spacious! The check in staff was friendly. It’s been a long time since I have had a CLEAN room and I didn’t feel like I was crawling with heebie-jeebies. Would stay here again in a heart beat for the price!

Unfortunately it wasn’t a good experience. The first room that we got, it was not ready. Beds were unmade and trash bins full. We had to go back and ask for another one. The other that we got was better but still not quite clean either. I won’t detail everything that I found but just the major that bothered me.The rooms are very outdated, there were pretty big stains on the carpet, the tub would squeak every time you moved,I found a few hairs on the towels and the room had this musty smell to it. Overall the property is old and very outdated.

Room smelt of cigarette smoke and room was super dirty. Pull out couch was full of crumbs and dirty sheets. Absolute terrible place. 0 star never ever stay there take my word for it. Grungy crackers room there for one night stands. Stay away!

We had stayed at other Shilo Inns before and this one was outdated. There was clearly water damage in our room with mold on the celing in the shower. The walls were thing and we could hear the people above us very clearly. But the location was convenient.

The building is set back off the road & the only sign we eventually saw was at the bottom of a multi-store sign & was not lit. After we found it & went in, the employee at the front desk was wonderful -- kind, efficient, knowledgeable. We had made reservations online & were unfortunately not informed that the elevator was out of service until we arrived. Our room was on the 4th floor. It was not pleasant hauling luggage up 4 flights of stairs. The room itself was quite nice. It was spacious, appeared clean & the bed was surprisingly quite comfortable. Our 2nd evening, we returned from an exhausting day & decided to rest for a while. The hallway was noisy off & on, but never lasted too long, until about 6:30pm. We heard several people in the hall, talking very loudly, giggling, laughing. This continued until I opened our door, which is when I discovered it was the cleaning staff. Two females quickly rushed further into the room across from ours so I asked the male vacuuming the hallway if they would mind not yelling. He said yes & apologized. I closed the door & moments later the females were once again very loud. The male quickly said to them the hallways echo & for the most part sounds of cleaning were all that was heard after that. I've never had to remind hotel staff that there are guests staying there & they should be quiet. Hopefully that is not a normal occurrence. Everything said, we will probably try another hotel instead when we are in the area again in a few months.

The signage was small on the roadside considering That it’s a hotel with guest looking for the facility who are not familiar with the area! The sign might be 24” sq and located on the bottom of several other stores on a road side sign pole.

Our stay was great, however I had a very hard time finding the hotel. I literally drove past it 3 times before I was able to find it because there was no visible sign from the street at night. Then I was nervous that it wasn't even open for business because all of the outside buildings lights were turned off. It felt unsafe to park and walk with my young daughter and our belongings in the dark parking lot to a very dark, unlit hotel. When I mentioned this to the receptionist they seemed to feel that it wasn't a big deal, and responded by shrugging and turning the lights on. It was almost 10pm?! There was another family that came in after me that also seemed confused and uncomfortable. When we left the next morning, the outside lights were still on though it was now 11am? I would advise having the lighting system set on a timer or a daylight sensor if you don't have employees that think that it is important. I almost cancelled my reservations and stayed across the street at the Holiday Inn because I truly thought that you were closed because of the lack of street signage and no outdoor lighting. Other than that, our stay was good. The room was clean and the bedding was comfortable. The towels were rough and scratchy though. I would consider staying here again if the lighting was safer. Thanks for taking the time to read over my thoughts.

We got a non smoking room yet the whole hotel smelled of cigarettes. The halls were so old and smelly. We got this hotel because it said it had a pool and free breakfast, but it didn't have either. Beds were not the most comfortable. You get what you pay for.

Unlike other hotelsm I got the room I booked. The internet was fast enough to watch 4k streaming video. Also I needed to upload a 7gb video to YouTube since I am a YouTube content creator and it only took about 45 minutes, (about 3x as long at at home), but that is still better than most hotels where it would take hours. The room was clean and overall it was quiet. I was expecting breakfast, but I may have just assumed it had it and not looked when I booked.

Comfortable bed and a good shower. Having the sink located outside of the bathroom is a big plus. We were disappointed that the breakfast has been discontinued. Coffee was cold except for early thing in the morning.

We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. The breakfast was great. The room was great, bigger than your average hotel room. Everything was very clean. Some facilities were not open because they were in the middle of renovations. And the elevator was very slow. But I consider this a very high value stay. I would absolutely stay here again.

Completely average. Okay price for an okay crash pad. The bed was comfortable and clean enough but the rest was dingy. No breakfast (couldn’t find clear info), closed amenities. Coffee bar available with powdered creamer. Toilet ran all night. Totally okay for a totally okay price but if it was more than ~$75 I paid it wouldn’t really be so okay.
