The hotel is excellent in terms of rooms, amenities and staff. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The car park is very tight and don’t be surprised if others take more room than they need making parking of today’s large cars a challenge. At €25 per day, it seems a bit steep. However, for convenience, you are a captive audience. The hotel is a short walk from the main, beautiful attractions that Strasbourg has to offer, so again convenient. Strasbourg is a difficult city to navigate with the roads seemingly constantly changing, so ensure sat nav is up to date, or use phone.

Stayed in family room with balcony. Great view, lots of beds, good breakfast and all for a good price. Recommended!

When we (a family of three) arrived at the hotel at 3:00 p.m., the reception staff informed us that we had been upgraded to a larger 30 m² family room. However, when we saw the room, we were very disappointed. It was not cozy at all – there was one large bed in the middle of the room and four bunk beds, giving it the feel of a dormitory rather than a family room. We asked if we could instead have the 22 m² Junior Suite that we had originally booked. We were told that the suite was not ready yet and that we would have to wait about 30 minutes. We waited outside for even longer, but when we returned, the suite was still not ready. In total, we waited around 1.5 hours and lost a significant part of our afternoon. The reception staff apologized and told us that they would refund the cost of breakfast, which we accepted. We had paid approximately €45 for breakfast for three people when booking the room. However, the following day we received an invoice showing a refund of only €15. When we called the hotel, we were told that breakfast costs only €5 per person, so €15 covered all three guests. This is simply not true, as breakfast is advertised on the hotel’s own website at €11 per person. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. For a hotel that presents itself as a four-star property, the service fell far below expectations. The hotel itself is also somewhat worn and dated and, in our opinion, is more deserving of a three-star rating than four stars.

Perfect location for walking everywhere in old town and it was a decent size for our family of 2 adults and 2 older teens. The main reason we loved it was nice cold AC for these Texans during a very hot heat wave (100+ F). Good to cool off at night after dripping with sweat all day.

Friendly staff on reception. Convenient for station and old town. Good breakfast.
