We had an absolutely wonderful (and most relaxing) stay at your place! It was a great location and all of the included amenities truly impressed us. Our kids enjoyed fishing and swimming off of your dock, and we loved having our family dinners on your patio (outdoor space with string lights was a bonus). Thanks for sharing your little gem and hopefully we'll be able to visit again!

Would definitely staybagain! Such a beautiful spot overlooking the lake. Beautifully furnished home and well-equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and furniture. Charming lighting throughout. Several lovely gathering places outside! And so many beautiful windows and doors to see it all! Be advised it's a bit steep if you're traveling with any folks who are unsteady on their feet.Baby gate provided for top of stairs.

We needed a “get away” from the holiday hustle and “real life” in general. The Green Heron did not disappoint. The house was the perfect size for us to relax, unwind and regroup to begin the new year! Upon arrival, we found the home to be clean, beautifully decorated and just as described in the listing. Because of the season, we didn’t use the outdoor amenities, like the boat dock, grill, outdoor shower, etc. The bed we used was comfy, and we were comfortable in general. The water pressure / temperature in the shower was great. Plenty of extra towels, blankets, etc. We noticed a high chair in the kitchen closet, a baby gate too, in case you have toddlers with you for your stay. We have grandchildren, so we noticed, even though they didn’t stay with us on this trip. The kitchen was well appointed with cookware, utensils, coffee pot, tea pot etc and we did cook a few meals during our stay. I am a quilter and used the dining room to sew a bit while we were there while my husband enjoyed the television / internet with Netflix, Hulu and Disney+ subscriptions. We will definitely consider renting this precious home again in the future.

This recently renovated lake home has everything you need. Sheets, bath towels and lake towels are plentiful. Kitchen utensils, pots, pans snd appliances are readily available. The kitchen is stocked better than my own- even a crock pot! The place was clean, the beds were very comfortable (I wish I looked to see what kind of mattress it was!) and there were even plants and flowers in large planters for some nice landscaping. This home is on a quiet cove of Lake Norman. The location is a bit more remote than I expected but stores and pharmacy are less than 10 minutes away. The only thing to be aware of if you experience any kind of mobility disability is that there are quite a few steps to get to the dock, as with many lake homes. Really nice house with all the extras.

Been vacationing on Lake Norman since 1989. The covered slip was a plus and also the no wake zone. The house was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities our family needed for the week. We enjoyed making pancakes on the Blackstone Grill!

Property was as beautiful as pictured and was stocked better than expected. Only suggestions are the need for railing on the steps down to the dock. That is a safety concern that needs to be addressed. Also, a night light at the top angled step and last step before bottom landing as they could easily cause a fall. All in all we had a great stay and would recommend to others. Thank you.

It was the perfect getaway for me and my best friend. The house and property were better than what I could of imagined. We brought some kitchen items with us so that we could eat in, but we didn’t need them. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the variety of places to hang out on the property and enjoy nature.

The home is beautiful! Just what we needed for our stay! The amount of thought that was put in to every detail from the cute signage, labels, having all of the convenience items you could think of, and more! The lake was quiet and there was so much room for boating, riding jet skis, paddle boarding, kayaking and just floating! The perfect getaway!

The cottage is in a great neighborhood and fairly secluded, not like other places along Lake Norman. It was the perfect size for 2 adults, 2 teens and a younger kid. The kids really enjoyed fishing off the dock, every day, all day! The house has everything you need for your stay, including towels for the lake! We were grateful for all the amenities that they provided. One of the best surprises, the house is SO close to a mountain biking park. It is the perfect place to bike, trail run, hike and there is even a playground. The pickleball courts were pretty busy, but that is also a bonus! There is a pier to fish and a spot to launch kayaks, paddle boards or a canoe. Great location. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the house, the location and the amount of things to do in the area.

Check in was super easy and the interior of the house is very nice, well decorated, and clean. Docked a star because the outside area could use a little work (power wash/plants that aren’t dead). Would still definitely stay here again!!

We had a wonderful experience at the Green Heron cottage! Great location for everything CLEAN, QUIET, and so COMFY!!! Lakefront was great and we felt like we were at our own home! PERFECT!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This home and the owner/property manager are outstanding. When we arrived early we were welcomed most warmly and accommodated quickly by the owner and the energetic and thorough staff. All furnishings were in excellent condition and comfortable. Clever and creative decor enhanced every room and outdoors. A large supply of indoor and outdoor towels were provided and beds and linens were great. The site is located on a "finger" of the lake, but views were unobstructed from all levels. The opposite shore was farther away than many other properties we have seen. The neighborhood is generally peaceful and there was only one moron who roared past a couple of times a day leaving docks and moored boats dancing in his large wakes. Apart from that brief irritant, all was peaceful day and night.The kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed; nicely equipped stocked and equipped with great fixtures. Nothing important was lacking. Finally, the area offers all the shopping, supplies and food one might need and the roads are well maintained, allowing short drive times to other parts of Norman and surrounding towns.What else can be said? We departed rested, cared about and lacking nothing of consequence. Will return, for certain.

The house is comfortable, nicely decorated, tidy and well-equipped. It was a great size for our family of 4. The owner was responsive when we sent questions. The house is on a very quiet part of the lake, so paddle boarding is easy because there is not a lot of wake. There is groceries and shopping close by. We enjoyed our week-long stay very much.

Our family spent 5 days visiting North Carolina and stayed at the Green Heron cottage. It was a quiet getaway, right on the lake with beautiful views. We are a family of four and had plenty of space. The amenities and interior decor were exactly as described. So cozy and cute! My only complaint is that the outdoor spaces (patio, stairs, etc) were not cleaned up from the winter months in time for our visit. We were close to the grocery store and we went to a few restaurants within a 20 minute drive. We spent some time in Charlotte as well. Our host was easy to access for questions and responded quickly. I would love to visit again in the summer to take full advantage of the lake and warm North Carolina weather!

We had the absolute BEST time at the Green Heron. The owners thought of everything that I guest might need. Those little details mean a lot. The house is decorated so cute and it’s so clean. It was so nice to relax and unwind. We will definitely be staying here again!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We had the absolute BEST time at the Green Heron. The owners thought of everything that I guest might need. Those little details mean a lot. The house is decorated so cute and it’s so clean. It was so nice to relax and unwind. We will definitely be staying here again!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This home and the owner/property manager are outstanding. When we arrived early we were welcomed most warmly and accommodated quickly by the owner and the energetic and thorough staff. All furnishings were in excellent condition and comfortable. Clever and creative decor enhanced every room and outdoors. A large supply of indoor and outdoor towels were provided and beds and linens were great. The site is located on a "finger" of the lake, but views were unobstructed from all levels. The opposite shore was farther away than many other properties we have seen. The neighborhood is generally peaceful and there was only one moron who roared past a couple of times a day leaving docks and moored boats dancing in his large wakes. Apart from that brief irritant, all was peaceful day and night.The kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed; nicely equipped stocked and equipped with great fixtures. Nothing important was lacking. Finally, the area offers all the shopping, supplies and food one might need and the roads are well maintained, allowing short drive times to other parts of Norman and surrounding towns.What else can be said? We departed rested, cared about and lacking nothing of consequence. Will return, for certain.

Check in was super easy and the interior of the house is very nice, well decorated, and clean. Docked a star because the outside area could use a little work (power wash/plants that aren’t dead). Would still definitely stay here again!!

The house is comfortable, nicely decorated, tidy and well-equipped. It was a great size for our family of 4. The owner was responsive when we sent questions. The house is on a very quiet part of the lake, so paddle boarding is easy because there is not a lot of wake. There is groceries and shopping close by. We enjoyed our week-long stay very much.

Our family spent 5 days visiting North Carolina and stayed at the Green Heron cottage. It was a quiet getaway, right on the lake with beautiful views. We are a family of four and had plenty of space. The amenities and interior decor were exactly as described. So cozy and cute! My only complaint is that the outdoor spaces (patio, stairs, etc) were not cleaned up from the winter months in time for our visit. We were close to the grocery store and we went to a few restaurants within a 20 minute drive. We spent some time in Charlotte as well. Our host was easy to access for questions and responded quickly. I would love to visit again in the summer to take full advantage of the lake and warm North Carolina weather!

We absolutely loved this house. Felt right at home. Enjoyed sitting on the back porch and watching the birds and squirrels. We had a bald eagle fly by one morning and watched several hawks grab fish from the lake. We will definitely come back here!!!

We had a wonderful experience at the Green Heron cottage! Great location for everything CLEAN, QUIET, and so COMFY!!! Lakefront was great and we felt like we were at our own home! PERFECT!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This recently renovated lake home has everything you need. Sheets, bath towels and lake towels are plentiful. Kitchen utensils, pots, pans snd appliances are readily available. The kitchen is stocked better than my own- even a crock pot! The place was clean, the beds were very comfortable (I wish I looked to see what kind of mattress it was!) and there were even plants and flowers in large planters for some nice landscaping. This home is on a quiet cove of Lake Norman. The location is a bit more remote than I expected but stores and pharmacy are less than 10 minutes away. The only thing to be aware of if you experience any kind of mobility disability is that there are quite a few steps to get to the dock, as with many lake homes. Really nice house with all the extras.
