Grand Magic Hotel Marne La Vallée

Very tired and worn out. And having to pay to park at the hotel is ridiculous.

Parts of the hotel seamed pretty run down and in need of maintenance, for example the pool (which was cold as was the kids pool) area lacked warm showers, ladders into main pool were broken and wobbling, pretty much all the gym machines were broken, our sink was cracked, as were floor/wall tiles in our bathroom and the bath itself had multiple chips in it.

Lovely hotel, really good pool - especially for children. Rubbish breakfast buffet.

Very long queue on check in. Staff were attentive though. No pillows in the room, which was sorted quickly. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Large stain on carpet by the bed- vomit? No queues for breakfast at all; although it was a little chaotic, which is to be expected when it is packed for of excited children! Food was pretty good, including fresh fruit salad. Main issue is swimming pool and gym. The pool was filthy and desperately needs updating. Lots of ‘stuff’ floating in the pool; some of which had obviously been there a while. All the lockers were broken and doors hanging off. The multi gym was also broken and could have been dangerous due to frayed wires. However, the pool and gym were the only downside of the hotel.

The rooms are good value for money but it is probably more like a 3* hotel than 4*. The gym equipment doesn’t work at all. The floor to the pool was flooded. The grounds aren’t that well kept. Breakfast was okay - massive machine-like buffet - and the cleaning service was disappointing when we asked for help.

Excellent hotel for families especially with young children. The common spaces are large and whimsically themed and very on brand with Disney. Stay at this hotel and you will think you are at a Sisney hotel for 1/2 the price! There are 2 arcades for children and there bounce house areas!

Piscine et douches très sales, eau de la piscine froide et vestiaires mixtes, hôtel bruyant surtout le petit déjeuner avec des produits de mauvaises qualités. Ne mérite en aucun cas 4 étoiles. Nous ne reviendrons pas!

Good hotel. Shuttle bus every 20 mins direct to train /station and Disney village/parks. The buses can be very packed though. The pool was nice but no towels provided and the pool showers were freezing. Breakfast selection ok but not exceptional, you have to find your own table at breakfast and there is often no clean tables available. A high percentage of crockery at breakfast was chipped/cracked. The decor in the hotel is cool and unusual. The rooms are clean but basic (no cupboard space to unpack clothes, just a small rack to hang jackets).

Dirty room floors stained, room heating did not work

1 nuit passée dans cet hôtel après avoir fait 3 nuits dans 1 hôtel Disney: hôtel sale dès l’arrivée à 10h du matin, couloirs souillés de détritus, bouteilles vides et vaisselle parterre devant les chambres, toilettes à côté de l’accueil très sales et malodorantes, chambre propre mais sanitaires en mauvais état. Déçus car hôtel rénové depuis son ouverture.

Unfortunately the bathroom in our first room was very dilapidated. It had black mould around the bath, shower, taps and shower gel dispensers. The toilet was stained. Not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The second room that we were moved to was only marginally better, still with traces of black mould in the bathroom. Our late check was also declined on the morning of our booking despite asking for it 6 weeks before, and it being a major factor in why I booked here in the first place. They would not refund our booking so that we could move to another hotel. The duty manager was very dismissive and unaccommodating. The other reason for booking for this hotel was for the pool, of which was closed on our arrival with no pre-warning. We were offered use of a another hotels pool a shuttle bus away, not really ideal in minus degree weather with a toddler. Overall, the downstairs areas were well presented. But the accommodation levels felt run down and 'cheap'. Very disappointing. I would not stay here again.

Breakfast nice & tasty. Very clean hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are average but just what you need to sleep and shower in after busy days at didneyland.

The hotel communal areas were amazing and perfect for families . The staff at the recption were also really friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a good selection including pastries, cerals, bread , hams. Spreads , nuts and salad. There was also hot food choices including sauasages, bacon , eggs , beans and tomatoes. There is also a free shuttle service to disneyland with the timetable available at reception. I am only rating it 3 stars as the room itself was not in the best condition for a 4star hotel. There was mold visible between some of the tiles and silcone in the bathroom. This was not ideal as we had young children aged 3 and under in our family. The carpet looked old and not the cleaness (old marks) and there were no slippers or robes provided. Some of the bedding were scuffed too. There was a stark difference between the beautiful lobby/communal areas and the two joint rooms we had. We did not complain as we spent the whole day in disneyland and mainly booked for us to sleep and had to leave after check-out the next day.

We enjoyed our stay here,room was clean,food was excellent and staff were lovely.

Lobby and communal areas ok (we only walked through after check in at 10pm) but the room smelled of stale cigarettes and i woke with 3 bed bug bites on my wrist/arm. Didnt feel clean at all, would not stay here again :-(

The property is starting to show a bit of wear and tear but it is still nice. Buffet breakfast was nice and certainly enjoyed by the family. We found the room a bit warm for us. Carpet in our room had a number of stains. Overall we were happy with our stay. We would be happy to book again.

My experience at grand magic was far from being magic I try to get a different room because my room had a big stain in the carpet and the bathroom didn’t look clean at all i call expedia to find any solutions because they didn’t give me any options

The hotel advertised air conditioning in the room, not true! When I complained of how hot the room was and that my son had nosebleed due to the heat, I was advised to open the window. I have never been asked to open a window with all the hotels I've stayed with air conditioning! It was uncomfortable and the hotel was not cheap. The room was dated, the toilet needs changing, the small fridge did not work that there was no point of putting it there, and all the bedside lights did not work at all. The arcade was expensive too, 2 euros for 1 game! Would not recommend and would not come back.

Entrance and bar area are amazing, rooms and bathrooms are very old and outdated

The room was very small, we had to request a bigger room at an additional cost. These rooms are not suitable for 2 adults and a tall 10 y old child.

Would have been a 4 rating but the wifi was quite poor for such a hotel and the customer service didn’t answer my last question to them. Overall a nice stay was had.

Le plus important étant la qualité de la nuit, il faut dire que c’était horrible. Un va-et-vient incessant et bruyant dans le couloir, presque toute l’année avec une insonorisation qui est ce qu’elle est.

Overall not bad for a busy Disney hotel, but walls are paper thin and not sure what people were doing but there was a lot of banging and yelling every night around 11:30pm.

The lobby, eating area and staff are excellent. The rooms and elevators show the age of the building. Would be due for some refurbishment.

Over all it was great, breakfast was really good. Room layout with bunk beds worked very well with us. The shuttle bus to Disneyland was a squash and a squeeze. It was very hot on the hotel room and there was no Aircon working but it was manageable.

We had a pleasant stay on the whole despite a few minor set backs. Firstly we were met with a not so friendly check in staff. She was quite grumpy. The swimming pool was freezing cold during our stay so we weren’t able to make use of it. They did give us free parking for the two days as compensation. On a positive note, breakfast was great and the room was comfortable. The rest of the staff were friendly. Shuttle bus to Disneyland was frequent and easy.

Customer service was great

Staff was not helpful. Air conditioner did not work. Staff said they were going to send maintenance to fix it 3 seperate times and never did. Finally after two nights with being told it was going to get fixed and never did we had to move to 2 different rooms before finally get a room with air conditioner that worked. Manager was supposed to email me regarding the stay and never did. I was offered a complimentary drink at the bar for me troubles. Room also smelled terrible, like urine. Would not recommend.

Hotel was clean and close to the parks. We used this for a one night stay before moving to a Disney hotel. The staff at check in ignored us and continued to check in French guests behind us in the queue. Only after all French guests were checked in would they serve us. Being British must mean you are invisible until the French guests have been looked after.

The reception staff was pleasant upon check in. The red lobby is in need of a refresh some couches were ripped. The blue lobby looked good and the lights add to the atmosphere. The hallways on the room floors are dingy and need to be refreshed. The same goes for the rooms and washrooms. The carpet in our room was stained and the counter in the washroom was chipped. Over all i would say average decor. Where they loose all points was we unfortunately forgot our tablet in the room (we tracked it as being at the hotel) its been 3 days and several emails from our part and no one has called us. We will have to call them again. Very frustrating.

Checking in was really easy. Staff are very friendly, helpful and accomodating, another lovely stay at The Grand Magic Hotel!

The reception area on arrival was full of people’s fast food rubbish. I noticed this on several occasion. The restaurant does not open till 6:30pm and the bar or room service does not offer children’s meals. Tea/coffee facilities are no restocked. Reception desk are very polite and helpful unfortunately the bar staff are not and quite rude definitely not a service with a smile. I would rate the hotel as a 3 star.

Clean and comfortable hotel will come back again and nice and helpful staff and the locations was good for people whi want to go to disneyland.

Very good hotel. Great food in the restaurant. Keep in mind is about 1 hour drive from Paris and the Eiffel tower.

This was our first stay at the Grand Magic Hotel. The hotel was clean and functional, but some of the high traffic areas could do with a refresh. The bar area with its changing displays is a highlight. The room was functional with everything you would expect, but storage was very limited in the interconnecting family rooms we had. The bathrooms were clean with shower gel, shampoo and plenty of towels provided. The pool area was open from 8am until 10pm and again was clean, but you have to take towels from your room to use it, the hotel does not provide towels in the pool area for guests use. The breakfast buffet was decent, with both hot and continental style options and was served from 7am until 10am. The biggest issue that I had was the transportation to and from Disneyland Paris. The hotel provides a free shuttle service every 20 minutes to and from the park, but this service is shared with 4 other hotels, which means that it is packed solid all day. On a number of occasions, we had to wait for multiple buses to pass before finding space on one. It is the same at the "I" stop at the train station, there is no cueing system, and it becomes a free for all to get on the bus. A system of switch backs needs to be installed to ensure the people waiting the longest get onto the bus first and in an orderly manner. Overall, for the price point and proximity to Disneyland Paris, I would recommend staying at the Grand Magic Hotel, especially for those with larger families

Sehr schönes Hotel für einen Familienurlaub im Disneyland. Zimmer ist ausreichend groß und die Betten sind bequem. Das Badezimmer ist in die Jahre gekommen und das sieht man ihm an. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist in Ordnung, allerdings zu Stoßzeiten sehr voll und laut. Die warmen Speisen waren eher lauwarm. Der Shuttelbus ist morgens und abends sehr überfüllt, fährt aber regelmäßig.

Clean room. Staff was great at check in which was quick and easy. We stayed to go to Disneyland. The transportation was easy to catch but it filled up quickly we had a party of 7 and had to split up the first day taking the bus to Disneyland. Our room had a set of bunk beds and then 2 twin beds so it fit our family of 3 in one room and 4 in the adjoining room. We would recommend

Shuttle is a nightmare as it provide service to 4 other hotels Rest all was good for the price

Good location with reliable shuttle to Park & station every 20-30 mins - but important to note this is only 1 per hour during the afternoon. Useful to have luggage room on day of departure. Probably won’t be spending much time actually at hotel - but nice to have pool and views/ grounds are pretty.

Bus to hotel at night from Disney is a joke services 5 to 6 hotels and only runs every 20 minutes expect to queue for ages

Excellent for Disney!!! The free shuttle is regular and didn’t find it super cramped (bus pick up is I and not Q as informed) The staff are lovely and helpful. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. The hotel lobby and lounge are really magical this was something special. There is a supermarket about 10 min walk from hotel to the left as you leave. I would most definitely come back here and it’s lovely to sit out the back and have a relax at the end of the day with a drink. I didn’t use the pool or evening buffet to be able to comment. Only negative point was the toilet pan was dirty at the rim where the water leaves it. That should be checked and cleaned. There is also a near bus stop if you want to visit Val D’Europe shopping mall

Great hotel. Close to the Disney parks and daily shuttle. Breakfast was good too with a good selection of food. Only downsides were the evening buffet seemed a bit steep at €40 per person and the swimming pool was cold too. Overall good value for money and would definitely recommend

Très déçue de la qualité de l’hôtel, petit déjeuner très varié mais de mauvaises qualité tout comme le buffet du soir, à part le hall d’entrée qui en met plein la vue avec l’animation des écrans, je suis vraiment déçue de mon séjour

The staff were friendly and helpful the room was tidy however bits were broken I.e hairdryer and lights. The was no hot water for one evening which wasn’t fun after a cold day. The breakfast had good choices and there was plenty of food however the hot food was served luke warm at best. Average hotel but like most things around Disney parks you pay top price for average products. All in all not the worst but far from the best.

The shuttle was really crowded to Disney and to the train station which I was not expecting. Understandable when 3 hotels are sharing one shuttle. I just wish I would have known ahead of time. Could not find the shuttle at he end of the night and had to take a taxi. It doesn’t help that we are Canadian and don’t read French lol.Other than that the hotel was lovely the food is not the greatest and super expensive but hey it’s Disney?

Excellent hotel for trip to Disney. It was clean, comfortable and the service was great. The breakfast in god with lots of options and the shuttles were fast and reliable transport to and from parks. We would stay again and highly recommend to others!

Fresh breakfast just a little too busy

Breakfast could be better not much of selection for healthier options for children / young toddlers. The shuttle during peak hours should only operate to the park and back. Not going to each hotel on the road

Friendly reception staff on arrival, qick and hassle free checkin. Good transport links to Disneyland. Buffet breakfast was cold and plates very small. There was no restaurant organisation so was chaotic of a morning. Strict rules on taking food out of the restaurant.
