We have stayed here a few times and love it. There's a separate room for our son which works well. Full kitchen. Wood fire stove. Patio. Tvs. Love it! Wish they would fix the hot tub.

Checkin was smooth and quick. Amenities were poor. Steam room was out of order. Sauna needs to be turned on and takes alot of time to get hot. After a half hour, I abandoned taking a sauna. Hot tub is covered over and hasn’t been operational for along time. Superior room kitchen is right at the entrance and the area gets wet from winter boots. Need a large mat and a way of cleaning up the water. No place to hang wet towels in the bathroom.

No hot tub , Sauna had a terrible smell in it. Rooms with woods burning firecrackers are nice but have to collect your own wood. Pool was busy and didn’t really have enough seating if you wanted to hang out there. Limited amenities unless you drive into town. Bus schedules are offered. Don’t plan on having a nap during the day house keeping is very noisy and walls are paper thin.

The room was clean and has a fully functional kitchen. Complete kitchen utensils, pot, pans and full size fridge. No need to bring anything just food to cook. Has a good size pool but the water was too cold. Staffs are accommodating and friendly. There’s one staff even help us to change our flat tire. We would like to commend him but we forgot to get his name. Excellent service!

The amenities were pretty bad. The pool was small and a bit cold and the space was really outdated and looked in desperate need of some upkeep. And it was really inconvenient that the pool was in a separate building than the steam room and sauna. The parking lot was also absolutely packed the first night and really narrow.

Good place to get away. Pool is small but its ok. They have a steam room and sauna. Looks like there used to be a hot tub there but not being used anymore which is sad. Staff are AMAZING. Suites are spacious, clean, stocked with dishes and cookware. Very close to downtown Banff. Highly recommend!

The room was spotless, the beds very comfortable. We had a queen and king bed room with a small kitchenet stocked with everything we need with two little kids. The perfect place, perfect room, and so quiet even in a busy weekend! Highly recommended!

The property itself appears well kept over all. The front house staff were attentive and friendly upon check in. The mattresses in the rooms appear to be quite new. However the cleanliness was definitely not up to standards and the floors were very dirty with sticky spots on the kitchen floors, cobwebs upstairs in the loft, and dirty baseboards throughout.

Our room was spacious and very clean. The kitchenette was great to have and our stay was very pleasant. The only thing that is unfortunate is that parking is very tight and sometimes hard to maneuver into a spot with a larger vehicle. Our second time staying and we will be back. It would be nice if they had a discount for Alberta residents.

This was, emphasis on was once a beautiful property. Reviews and the rating stars are of the past not the present condition.the place is rundown, poorly managed and in desperate need of repairs, upkeep, maintenance and updating. It is so filthy, that we tossed the socks we used to walk on the floors. Equipment being old, and the place being filthy was topped by unfamiliar and unhelpful from the staff who attempted to help that seem to be unfamiliar with their property and their job. The carpets were old and dirty, couch was stained all over made you uncomfortable to sit and they laminated floor sticky even when you were walking with your socks on. Lack of care is present everywhere including all the remotes with the battery door hanging and not closing even the replacement ones that they gave us, a broken old coffee pot a percolator one that doesn't work, dry powder milk creamer coffee creamer and a tea selection that is only orange pico and a place that is Kitchener equipped by without a single roll of paper towel or anything to wipe with

The property is about 2km outside of Banff. It is in a very wooded area,so nice and green, but our room was very close to the main road where there was a little traffic, but very busy with people walking by day and night. There is no shopping nearby but the hotel does provide free bus passes to town for your stay. We found that the rooms are much darker than they look on the hotel posting. The heater/AC seemed to blow hot and then cold all day and night. Other than that,the staff was friendly and helpful.

The place itself was good and fairly basic but what I expected. There are trains that honk their horns throughout the night so if you’re a light sleeper like I am, I would avoid this place. It’s not the hotels fault, but something to keep in mind. I’ve stayed in Banff before (usually hotels in town) and never noticed the trains before.

We absolutely loved our week long stay at the Tunnel Mountain Resort! Wifi was STRONG - my parter and I work remote and had little to no issues with being on meetings at the same time and getting our work done. The kitchen was small but had most of the essentials you'd need to cook dinner every night. We honestly thought it was funny that we had no idea how beautiful the views were from the resort. I didn't stalk the website photos outside of the ones of the rooms, so the stunning mountain views were a nice little surprise on top of our stay. We brought our dog so the trails being nearby were an added bonus to walk him around. 10/10 recommend visiting, we will for sure be back!!

We stayed here with a group while running the Melissa's race. The cabin itself was well laid out, clean, and had enough room for our group. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I booked through expedia and was struggling to get them to help me change guest numbers to avoid extra fees. Even though that should have been on expedia to fix it, it was the hotel that helped- willingly and within minutes to make sure I was charged the correct amount. Thanks for the great stay and willingness to help!

Our second stay at Tunnel Mountain and we would highly recommended everything about it. The free shuttle took the worry out of parking in town. Very quiet, Great beds and bathroom. The kitchenette was handy for breakfast. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Loved it.

The condition of the room was excellent. As is my habit I checked to see if the microwave worked, unfortunately the turntable was inoperable. I contacted the front desk and the unit was replaced within 10 minutes by a very pleasant staff member. Looking forward to my next stay!

Excellent property and wonderful staff. Infact they helped locate our Galaxy Smartwatch that we left by accident, and helped to ship that to our residence in the US. The staff is so kind all throughout the experience including offering needing amenities during the stay. I can't thank enough

We did not raise any complaints about the room's condition upon check-in, nor did we request any extra supplies. We left the room clean and tidy, yet you are charging me $77 for toiletries? Eight adults stayed in the room—do you honestly think that a single bar of soap and a few miniature bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion are sufficient? This charge is absolutely unacceptable and unreasonable.

There was a shuttle bus stop located right in from of the hotel. We had a very bad/shocking experience where we went out for breakfast in the early morning, by the time we came back to prepare for check-out, the hotel room had already been cleaned up (They thought we had already checkout) and the Banff maps and one hotel room access card and free shuttle bus tickets had been taken away (we were very sure we came back to the hotel before the checkout time), the front desk staff apologized to me about the mistake they made, but did not offer any form of discount, compensation and formal apology letter/email. We had to check through all our bags and luggage to make sure nothing was missing, this had caused us significant delay in our travel plan.

Our studio room had an issue so they upgraded us on the first day (no charge) to a two story cabin!! It was fantastic and made the trip amazing! We have been here twice and will definitely come back again! Clean amazing resort. Great staff. Thank you James!

Tunnel Mountain was continently located. You could walk to town or take the bus that was right out front. The hotel did provide a bus pass to utilize transit that was included in the stay. They also have free parking for guests.

We had a great stay in the mountain cabin with my toddler and husband. It was great to have a kitchen and a real fire (and free firewood!). We didn’t use the free bus passes but loved that they offered it. It’s not quite walking distance to town (maybe in the summer?) but really close by car.

This is a nice property located near some very scenic fields with stunning mountain views. Although there is no restaurant at this property there is a restaurant in the adjacent property, you can also eat in your room with a small kitchen. Parking can be quite tight, likely especially in winter with snow. To walk to town would be a good stroll down the hill and great exercise getting back up, transit passes were provided for local Banff busses. Nice views all around, studio condo was big enough for a couple. Good restaurant "The Prow" across the street. Transit passes are complimentary. Paper towels on request. No mixing bowls, only cooking necessities.

I would stay here again. Quiet, clean, comfortable and cozy. Left a suggestion with front desk to add a second mirror somewhere outside the bathroom. There is no breakfast at hotel but there is coffee in the lobby. (Didn’t know this until we checked out our last day)

Hotel rooms were clean and looked recently renovated. It has a nice kitchenette with a stove, fridge, and cups/utensils which it is easy to do grocery runs and stock food before day hikes. Staff is friendly as well.

The location of the property is beautiful- very close to a scenic overlook you can easily drive walk or bike to. Close to hiking as well. Easy 15 min walk (downhill) into Banff- be aware the wLk back would be a steep uphill and take prob twice as long but the hotel provides free public bus passes so you don’t have to deal with parking in Banff (so busy!). Bus runs every 20 min or so. The room was as described, kitchen was great for convenience with a family and to save money on eating out. Staff was very friendly and answered all questions. The location is very convenient off the highway from Calgary and close to Banff. Rates were quite reasonable, on the lower end of Banff considering you got a kitchen and in our room selection- two toilets and a bedroom plus loft with two queens beds in it. Those were our main needs. Cons were - laundry facilities were a major bummer. Only two coin machines for the entire property. That seems strange for so many rooms and a place where families often stay. One of the machine sets wasn’t working so that exacerbated the problem with many people in line and some frustration over lack of machines. Property was a little outdated, still generally clean though, although our room had a little bit of ick in the caulking around tub- but honestly most hotels do. Lots of dust on door frames and such in our room but again, generally clean and fine for knowing it’s an older property. Pool was smaller, basic, but nice for kids. Overall a good spot.

One of the best things we appreciated is the hotel/Airbnb concept since most hotels don't even offer pans, utensils etc. Only one comment was the free for all parking which works for the most part, but where our room was located, there was a bunch of cars parked due to some guests having multiple vehicles instead of one per stall. We were travelling with a toddler, and I felt like the facilities were just too worn out and not clean. Views from the cabin were disappointing (trees were blocking the view of the mountains) so maybe ask about which way your cabin is facing. Amenities and equipment were very well stocked so the place is probably better for a group of adults.
