This property is nice, rooms somewhat small. The area is great so many shops and tons on eateries walking distance. My issue is the parking. I reserved this hotel through Expedia and from the advertising I was under the impression there was designated free parking for us. There is absolutely no free parking they do have a parking lot for those staying at the hotel in the back of the building across the street and it’s a scan and go parking lot. We paid 46 dollars to park for one day as I didn’t have any communication or instructions that they would give us a voucher and we only pay 8.00 so we lost out on that money. 8.00 dollars would have been fine I guess. Once parked we had to walk with all our bags as there’s no entrance in the back without a key card so we had to walk all the way around with our bags to the front with tons of action going on being we are in a very busy area. Luckily we only stood one night because I was a bit frustrated.

Room was decent. Bed was uncomfortable but the horrible part is the parking. Didn’t realize you had to park 2 blocks away when booking. Had I known I would not have stayed. Plus no elevator so you are hauling your luggage upstairs.

The room I reserved did not match the one I was given. I had specifically chosen the bedroom for its decoration, so I was quite disappointed upon entering. The front desk clerk informed me that my selected room was unavailable, and instead, I was assigned a bland, room. Had I known this particular room wouldn’t be available, I would not have booked at all—especially since I paid extra. Moreover, room #105 was located right next to the front desk, resulting in constant noise from people coming and going throughout the night. The traffic noise from the main road was also unbearable. The carpet in the bedroom was old and dirty with visible patches glue on and the room had an unpleasant odor. There was visible trash under the bed, and the air conditioner was so loud that it had to be turned off. The bedding featured labels from a different hotel, The pillows and mattress were hard and uncomfortably and overall, my stay was a complete nightmare. I didn’t sleep at all because I clearly heard a rat making noise and I was terrified. I truly hated it.

Excellent location! Within walking distance of so many eateries and the mall. Everything you'd expect from and older, quaint with LOTS of character hotel. It's not a shiny new penny but it's not a dumpy slumpy place either. We did have an issue with toilet backup (old pipes remember) and they fixed it immediately. Parking is a couple blocks away, which was the most inconvenient thing about staying here. Spaces are very limited but we were lucky taking the last available space every day of our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful.

No attached parking and no elevator even thought the lobby is located on the second floor was extremely inconvenient. Other than that, everything was really nice. The pictures are just as the finished product. Would stay again if only they correct the elevator and parking situation.

The location was excellent. One thing that is not listed on the property website is that there is NO ELEVATOR! You will have to carry all your luggage from the ground floor to the first floor to check in and then take all your luggage to whatever floor they put you on. Hopefully you are in shape for all that exercise!!!

Please note: THERE IS NO ELEVATOR and this is NOT a ground-floor building. The steps are many and very, very steep. Also, the parking area is down an alley and across a considerable parking lot. The parking area itself is also located in a dark, alley-like space. This parking situation costs me $8 a day PLUS 1 --$50 parking ticket. I had to plan my day to have the car returned before it got dark in order to feel safe. Walking in front of the building was pleasurable and safe. The hotel itself is in a great location and near many restaurants and shopping.

As other reviews state, this is an older hotel, probably even accurate to call it "dated". However, that's not to say it is bad, quite the opposite actually, at least for my stay. It was very clean, very comfortable, and at least for my room, super quiet; one of the best sleeps on the road I've had in awhile. The price is right, and I'd definitely stay here again.

It was noisy all night long. I heard arguing, someone going in and out of their door all night, and it sounded like someone was moving furniture above me all night! The carpet should be replaced and the flooring was sticky. That also needs to be replaced. I will not be back.

The second I entered the hotel there was a damp and mildewy smell throughout. The hotel did not have an elevator, so I had to climb two sets of stairs with my luggage to get to the front lobby. The parking was behind the alleyway, so I did not feel safe after parking my car and walking back to the hotel. The 1st room I stayed in smelled like a sewer, so I asked to be moved. The 2nd room was very noisy between the pipes and the loud noise the AC unit made. The fire alarm above the bed kept beeping all night and there was some sort of drilling happening outside the hotel room at 2am in the morning. The furniture and walls were dirty and stained. I chose this property due to great reviews on Expedia, which I now feel were fake since I had the opportunity to see the property with my own eyes. The only reason I didn't leave was because I got in at 10:30pm and was there for the night. I will never stay at this property again. Please think twice before booking a room at the Brand Plaza Hotel. It's a total dump!!

All was good but the room was noisy at night. Every time the people next door used their bathroom , a loud sound pulsed through my room. My air conditioning unit also was abnormally loud when it would click off. Otherwise the area is awesome.

While the bed was comfortable, it would squeak a good deal when you moved. Turning in your sleep was a bit noisy and as for other things....well! Additionally, the building apparently had a 3rd floor (Hotel is on the 2nd) because what sounded like a family of elephants arrived home at about midnight and stomped around until about 1AM. They arose earlier than I did and stomped again about 7AM, but for a shorter period. Overall though this was a fun hotel, as we were visiting a performance at the Nocturne Theatre within very close walking distance, making attending the show simple. A quaint hotel in not too bad shape that made good for a one-night stay for local entertainment

The best thing about this hotel is location, location and location. Portos is practically next door, so much choice of BF, Lunch and Dinner nearby, walking distance. We were lucky enough the Cruising Cars show/festival was on while we were there. Brand was closed off and the show was literally at our doorstep, Sadly, there is no drop off area for hotel, we parked in Bank of America parking next door (there was a guard there but luckily we are BofA customers). Hotel on site parking is non-exisit, you can use a pay parking for $8/day a couple of blocks away. Beware, there is no elevator so ne prepared to walk up the stairs. There is only level 2 and 3. The rooms were disappointingly small.

It was advertised as a queen bed - definitely not a queen. My boyfriend and I are not big people (he's 5'9 and I'm 5'4 and neither of us is heavy) and we were elbow and leg bumping all night in the tiny double bed. The room was also very small, and there was nowhere to hang the dress I was wearing to the formal wedding we were there for. Also no room in the bathroom to put things! would have been an OK room for a single overnight just to sleep - for one person - but too small for a 5 night stay for 2.

Front desk staff was rude (Andy), not helpful and attempted to charge me a second time for a room I already paid for. Even after I told him I already paid, he charged my card without my consent. Luckily my bank declined the charge. He had us waiting for an hour to check in and after all the trouble we had checkimg in, he didn't even seem apologetic for their mistake.

No instructions on where to park prior to check in. Called the front desk and the person was very bad at communicating where we can park while we were checking in. Public parking only available until you check in and then he explains how the parking works. The hotel entrance was very difficult to find. Almost appears as thought the hotel was abandoned. Our biggest complaint was the person at the front desk who checked us in around 7:00 PM on July 11th. Lack of empathy while we struggled to find the parking, the entrance and lugging our luggage up the stairs. My wife accidently dropped a couple of bags in front of the person who checked us in. He just watched it all happen and never offered any sort of assistance or asked if she was okay. She was clearly struggling. He was extremely rude, condescending and lacked communication skills. Good luck with any assistance from the front desk if you need any sort of help.

Always love my stay here. Very peaceful and I absolutely love the bed and sheets!! Extremely comfortable! There is no elevator so a kind employee helped me carry my bags to the car! I highly recommend The Brand Plaza Hotel. It’s an excellent value for the LA area as well.

When I walked in, I got a Four Rooms vibe. It's an older hotel that reminds me of an old Hollywood Hotel. The stairs didn't bother me, nor did the parking. I loved the location. You can walk to so much, which is great. The staff was so friendly. We had a red eye and they were so helpful to get us in super early for just a small cost. Leo even gave us complimentary parking. I plan on staying again in a week when I return to the area. Thank again

This is a great hotel in Glendale close walking distance to restaurants and shopping. I love staying here, the service is great, it's very clean, and cozy like home. The price isn't bad either. There is parking available for 8 bucks a night which is a steal for the area. I would warn that there isn't a elevator, I don't mind because there is only 2 floors. Staying here for the holidays is great because the Americana mall has all the holiday vibes and it's close by.

Quaint boutique hotel right in the heart of Glendale. Close enough to walk to shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Comfortable rooms, great shower pressure, very nice staff. Keep in mind there is no elevator, so you’re walking up stairs to get to your room. We’ll definitely come back.

The room was clean and provided nice-smelling toiletries. It was a nice and quiet space. As mentioned by others, the lobby is on the second floor of the building and requires taking stairs. Parking is behind the building and across a small street. Per the gentleman at the front desk, there was also a cost associated with parking. The surrounding area was great and had some stellar food options including Porto’s two doors down. A solid location & experience for a budget hotel.
