Positives Haddington House is situated in an excellent location with wonderful views from the front of the hotel. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The terrace seating area is well-organised and a lovely place to sit for a drink or a meal. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Wifi was fine and connection was straightforward. Less than positive It would have been nice to know before we booked that renovations to the hotel were happening during our day. As it was, we could not have a room with a view over the bay, and the workmen started hammering at 8am on our first morning. The TV was tiny and fixed high up in the corner of the room and could not be seen clearly. Also, the TV reception was via aerial and was intermittent and very poor with limited options for channels. I tried to use the room telephone to contact Reception to ask for a fan, but it did not work so I went down to the front desk. There was no lock on the bathroom door. The wardrobe was old and not fit for purpose eg the bottom shelf fell off because it did not have four props to hold it in place, and the rail for hanging clothes was from back to front instead of from side to side. Summary Wonderful location and staff, but a very 'tired' hotel. Certainly not good value for money given that it cost £374.53 (€431.98) for a double room only (no breakfast).

Nicely located hotel in Dunlaoghaire. Close to a the promenade and the DART rail system. The hotel is situated in very nice groundswhich encourages you to sit outside and enjoy the good weather. The hotel itself is well run and the staff are friendly.

Outdoor bar and seating area with great views is a bonus and a perfect place for relaxing on a sunny day. Great transport links to Dublin and further south with the DART only a 5 min walk away. Area was clean. They seem to care more about the restaurant attached to the hotel than the actual hotel itself. The hotel is under renovation but did not take away from the cleanliness of the hotel. Staff was great except for one cameriera who became very rude because of a language barrier.

Booked this hotel as it was near where we were attending a family christening. Good communication from the hotel. But, they are undergoing refurbishment to all the sea view rooms, it didn't really detract from our stay though. The hotel does look dated and tatty from the outside but once inside it's very nice. Good friendly attentive staff. Would imagine that when it's refurb is finished it'll be a jewel along the seafront in Dun Laoghaire.

From start to finish, our stay at Haddington House was exceptional. The staff were incredibly warm, professional, and always willing to help—true hospitality at its best. The hotel was spotless, with a calm, elegant atmosphere and tasteful decor throughout. The view of the Irish Sea only adds to its charm. Bonus that it’s walking distance from Forty Foot, a popular spot for locals to take a daily dip in the sea. The restaur A perfect blend of comfort, cleanliness, and charm.

Such a perfect hotel! Staff is incredible, food is outstanding and the best bartenders around. Hotel is decorated perfectly with lots of wonderful couches and areas to sit and enjoy a beverage with friends. Rooms were comfortable, very clean and simply perfect. Location was great… Found the room to be tight & small for 2 people… Floor was not level as bed had shims… After a half hour of running the shower, no hot water was available… Front desk was friendly when we arrive until the change of shift then the new girl was not so friendly… For the price we paid, we definitely should get a partial refund… Restaurant “Oliverti” was ok but very limited in choice… Spanish Hostess from Malaga was Great… She had an Awesome Attitude and Super Friendly !!! We will most likely stay someplace else when we return to the area but will eat at restaurant again…

A very great location right next to the sea with shopping, dining, and good walking nearby. The staff is ver friendly and helpful and the dining delicious! Don’t miss the breakfast. The room was nicely put together with a comfy bed and adequate bathroom. I had a two large windows overlooking the bay. Very scenic. My only complaint is that my room never got warm even with the radiator on high. It’s an old hotel with poor insulation and drafty windows. I was freezing in my room until I’d been under the covers for quite awhile. By morning it was even colder! To be fair, Dublin was having a cold spell at the time.

My stay was basic, the room was close to the lift very noisy, you could hear chatters and doors slamming. I was not able to rest after a long flight. Room was musty and outdated. Staff were not friendly, when we asked for a room change we were told that they were fully booked. Location was great for shopping. I would not recommend.

My sister, husband & I stayed one night. No issues. Didn’t have the breakfast or evening meal. Very comfortable. Only thing was they charged us again about an hour after I paid on the same card. Was a little unusual as it wasn’t even the same account. They rectified it as soon as I brought it to their attention.

I love the Haddington. Close to the Forty Foot and swimming, close to the DART into Dublin Centre, amazing staff. It’s a great property. Can’t recommend it enough.

The staff at Haddington House were amazing! They gave great recommendations of places to see, and helped me figure out public transportation in the area. And they were all so so so kind! The location was also very convenient. Within walking distance of a lot of shops, but also close to bus stops for the longer treks.

Our first introduction to Ireland. A perfect location. Views of the harbour and close to cafes and shops. A 20 minute train ride into the heart of Dublin city. About a 5 minute walk to the train station. The Hotel is beautiful with SO much character and welcoming charm. The staff are very efficient and helpful. This is an older style hotel with much history but also with modern facilities. We stayed for 4 nights and were just a little bit sad to leave. A very big yes to anyone thinking of staying there.
Our first introduction to Ireland. A perfect location. Views of the harbour and close to cafes and shops. A 20 minute train ride into the heart of Dublin city. About a 5 minute walk to the train station. The Hotel is beautiful with SO much character and welcoming charm. The staff are very efficient and helpful. A very comfortable stay in a wonderful location. The surrounding area is fabulous and you are easily connected to Dublin central with the Dart train service, bus or taxi. The quality of service, the drinks in the cocktail bar and the restaurant is first class as is what they serve. The breakfast will certainly set you up for the day!

Really enjoyed our stay. We had a nice ocean view and the area around the hotel was perfect for relaxing and strolling with easy access into the city.

The staff at Haddington House were amazing! They gave great recommendations of places to see, and helped me figure out public transportation in the area. And they were all so so so kind! The location was also very convenient. Within walking distance of a lot of shops, but also close to bus stops for the longer treks.

A very comfortable stay in a wonderful location. The surrounding area is fabulous and you are easily connected to Dublin central with the Dart train service, bus or taxi. Such a perfect hotel! Staff is incredible, food is outstanding and the best bartenders around. Hotel is decorated perfectly with lots of wonderful couches and areas to sit and enjoy a beverage with friends. Rooms were comfortable, very clean and simply perfect. Would stay here every single time I come to Dublin.

The staff in Haddingtion House were so friendly and helpful and breakfast in Olivetto was delicious.The outdoor bar area at the front is a great place to chill on a warm sunny afternoon. The Parlour bar also serves a variety of cocktails in a lovely relaxing atmosphere.We will definitely return.
