Loved the quiet courtyard sitting area and inside space too

I arrived around 1 am becausevof flight times. The reception staff were very polite, friendly and reassuring when I phoned to let them know I would be late. The night porter was also very helpful polite and efficient. I didn't have breakfast as I was running late for a morning meeting. There was a parking spot immediately outside the door, which may have been good fortune, but street parking would have been available. Parking was free overnight though payment needed if you left the car there throughout the day. It was a quiet residential neighbourhood. Bedding and room were very clean and also had an iron, ironing board and safe. The communal areas were well furnished with a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The only small negative was the small size of the basin in the bathroom, which didn't allow me to get the kettle under the tap. It was a single room as staying for buisness. Otherwise it was faultless and goid value fir money. I will stay again.

Room clean, staff friendly and helpful, parking available upon request and extra payment and they will save you a spot if you give them advance notice. Restaurant within walking distance and the botanical garden.

A cozy guest house within easy reach of the airport. Lovely common rooms and great power for the showers.

Comfortable accommodation for 3 people, parking available upon request and advance notification, restaurants close by, safe neighborhood for walking at night and day, staff friendly and helpful.

We really liked the quaint, homey atmosphere of Egan’s Guest House. The garden was so peaceful! We appreciated the ability to borrow a large fan from the front desk for our comfort at night. It was nice to be able to walk right down the street for dinner at The Botanic. We only stayed one night, but it was perfect for us.

Overall quiet and clean, although the top blanket on one of the beds had something spilled on it. I was not aware they do not have parking for all the guests and they were all claimed before we got there. I found out too late that you can call ahead and purchase a spot. We parked down the road in a not so great area.

Facility is old but comfortable! Breakfast was fabulous! Staff was wonderful! A bit outside of city center Had several good restaurants within 10-15 minute walk

Obwohl wenige Gäste anwesend waren, war das Frühstückbüfett streckenweise leer und wurde erst auf Nachfrage befüllt. Das Zimmer ist sehr klein und nicht sehr sauber. Sehr störend ist die Heizungsanlage vor dem Fenster. Diese ist teilweise sehr laut, so dass man nachts das Fenster schließen muss. Wir hatten auf unserer Rundreise keine großen Ansprüche an die Unterkünfte. Jedoch war diese in den 12 Tagen mit Abstand die schlechteste, dafür aber eine der teuersten Unterkünfte.

I was put in rm38 n close to the boiler and l barely slept because of the loud continuous buzzing noise. They couldn’t change my room because the guesthouse was full. The mattress was slanted with uneven bumps & there was an odour. The manager Imaz called me sensitive & different and if l didn’t like it l should leave immediately & she would give full refund. She insisted that l expect no noise. I took the complimentary breakfast but not much hot food left or fruit salad. When l checked out Imaz said she would charge me 75% of that night despite she agreed a full refund. I was horrified & stunned how agressive her tone was towards me. She did admit the house was very old & there were lots of boilers situated in this place so l should expect to hear some noise. The fact she asked me to leave & called me Different & Sensitive as well, really shook me. I’m abhorred a manager in hospitality behaved in this abominable manner. The house looked dated and it is drill - there’s an old smell to this place including the bed and furniture and the carpet needed changing in that room. The shower curtain only covered a third of the tub so pointless & the shower pressure was so weak. I had a fall at the short stairs to the reception & there was no one around. When I came back to ask for an ice pack the receptionist hesitated for sometime. I had to tell her where to find it - in a first box and she didn’t know what to do with it to make it work. This is a hostel not a guesthouse.

The airtight bedrooms, stained and contaminated bedding, and the lack of hot water prevented me from washing. We need to think. Did we pay enough to always be careful not to hit our head against the wall while we were moving in that space and to carry a heavy bag through the narrow stairs? I told the staff after checking out 'there was no hot water' She answered. 'Why didn't you tell us' hey I think they're the least convenience the guest house should have.

Egan House was a fine stay in Dublin. It's affordable, clean and the service was good. Our room was really tight and the bed/pillows were not very comfortable, but it did the job.

Small room but relatively good value for Dublin.

It was perfect for our family of six in the Super Family Room.

Convenient location . Out of the way but walking distance to plenty bars, restaurants and stadium. Room and bathroom were small but it was all I needed.

Rooms are small but clean. The bed was very compfortable and the bathroom while limited in size offered a decent shower. The staff was very helpful. While in reasonable walking distance to the city center getting a public transport ticket makes thi gs far more compfortable

The receptionist who checked is in was great. She was very helpful and answered all our questions about getting into the city center. The kids loved being in the top room in the super family room. It was very large and perfect for our family.

The room was nice. Fit a family of four. We were by the stairs and it was louder while others walked up above, so that was bothersome as well as a creaky door that was between the room and foyer section. Overall was charming and a nice neighborhood.

Fantastic efficient staff and lovely building/room. Only reason i gave less than full stars was that water temp and pressure was bad on both occasions tried to use shower. Staff said all checked out but must have been due to high usage in a.m. Great location- could actually walk to dublin city centre in about 30 minutes. Also took bus to airport- short 10 min walk and under 3 pounds fare. Closest grocery and several restaurants about a 10 min walk away. Also walkable to Natl Botantic Gardens and GAA- great museum there on gaelic sports games.

I stayed one night in a small but perfectly formed Single Bedroom. It was cosy and the en-suite bathroom was modern. It was great to have a kettle and coffee/tea in the bedroom. The lounge area was comfortable also. The guest house is in a good location between Botanic Gardens and Dorset Street. Thanks.

The staff went abpve and beyond. Elizabeth at reception was a sweetheart.

We checked in around 3:00 PM and were surprised to learn that parking must be reserved in advance. The nearest available street parking was approximately a 10-minute walk from the property. There is no elevator, and no staff were present to assist with heavy luggage. The rooms are quite compact, and the hallways are noisy, with very creaky stairs adding to the disturbance. Fortunately, we were only staying for a short period—about 10 hours. However, the following morning, as we were preparing to catch our flight back to Canada, an issue arose. My daughter used the bathroom in our room and accidentally became locked inside due to a faulty door lock. After about 20 minutes, she became distressed and was crying. Despite it being early (around 7:00 AM), I searched the property for assistance. It took approximately 30 minutes to locate a staff member, who eventually arrived with a screwdriver to unlock the door. This morning delay made us rush dramatically to the airport! Based on our experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending this property to others.

We appreciated the help from the staff regarding transportation and places nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Nice rooms.

Staff happy to store our luggage after checking out until we returned to collect it 6.30pm before flying back to New Zealand.

Egan’s Guest House is a sweet stay in a part of Dublin that is not overrun with tourists. It’s very quiet, clean and comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful and kind. Check-in was smooth, the room was clear, and we were very happy with our experience.

Very friendly staff. We showed up 3 hours early for checkin and they were able to hold our bags, let us use the rest room and dining area, and gave us parking allowing us to walk to the local pub to kill time.

The Guests house is really nice, however the staff is not useful. They charged me twice for the room and now I have to fight with my bank in order to receive my refund. Have been writing them with no answer.

A quiet guest house with very friendly and approachable front of house team. Whilst it is a little bit of a distance from the city centre, there are good bus connections and a load of local, quality restaurants within reach. I would happily stay here again.

Convenient to Croke Park.

Mycket trevligt ställe mellan flygplatsen och centrum. Parkering finns både på boendet och ute på gatan. Hjälpsam och trevlig personal och bra frukost. Rent och fint på rummet. Buss till Centrum tar 10 min (hållplats 5 min från boendet).

This hotel was one of the nicest experiences I had lately and I wish I stayed longer! Very clean, felt like home. The bed, the carpets, the pillows are comfortable, the shower worked impeccably. The area is very handy as it's near the airport. So, saves time upon landing to Dublin, as well as when leaving to the airport. Dining options are not abundant but exist. Walking distance to some interesting sights like Glasnevin, the botanical gardens etc. A bit of a walk to the centre, though.

The staff was really nice and the rooms were clean. I had a family room and it was spacious with a bathroom, dresser, and big tv. It also had a window that we were able to open to the view of the garden. The area was really quiet. It takes about 10-15 minutes walking to get to main streets which isn’t too bad. From there, there are buses to get to where you need to.

This was an excellent stay for our first time in Dublin and Ireland as a whole. The bed and breakfast feeling was definitely here. Breakfast was fantastic and the rooms were clean and cozy. Would totally stay again someday.

The guest house was perfect for us. It was considerably away from the tourist hot spots, but close to the botanical gardens. We like to walk, so the location was very good. The breakfast was very good, and the service at the hotel was consistently excellent.

This was a safe, comfortable, quiet, that impact in a nice residential area. It was nice to go out and walk around, and there were several pubs within walking distance. The breakfast in the morning was quite good, the coffee was pretty bad, otherwise everything here was great.

Beautiful property. The rooms are very unique and clean. Staff was so friendly. Breakfast was good and hot. The back patio is so peacful and quiet. Would stay here again.
