We celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Shelbourne and it was the very definition of elegance. When you enter the door you are greeted with friendly faces immediately followed by lovely fresh flowers that smelled divine. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and responsive. We enjoyed breakfast daily and cocktails at the bars. The central location enabled us to walk everywhere to enjoy all that Dublin offers, including the International Literature Festival Dublin (a trip highlight). I only wish we had more time to enjoy the spa, salon, and pool. We look forward to visiting again, thank you!

Sometimes you do get what you pay for - pricey but wonderful. The main bar No. 27, is popular and service is great, but it was too loud and busy for me. However the Terrace upstairs and the Horseshoe bars were both lovely, quiet and relaxing. Great pool and spa, and the hotel finish is lovely, all green marble and gilt trimmings. Door staff very helpful and friendly. We had a very nice lunch in No. 27, and 2 wonderful meals in the Saddle Room restaurant. The location is great - a bit quieter, right next to St Stephen's park, but you can easily walk to the lively Temple Bar area and Grafton Street. I hope we can visit again someday.

Stayed here for 2 nights in March. Hotel was very local to parks and other attractions. Loved the hotel bar, staff was friendly and willing to make anything we asked for. Hotel is gorgeous - would stay here again!

Great that the Shelbourne now prioritises their residents over the walk-in customers. Was great to see that a dedicated area for residents have opened in all the bars. We had the most stunning bedrooms and enjoyed also lounging around with our young adult kids and catching up.

Lots of maintenance problems with our room: squeaky bathroom door, phone not working, TV channel guide not working, dirty spots on carpet, no regular coffee, badly worn bathroom rug.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shelbourne. The room was comfortable and clean, and the location cannot be beat. Plus, it had plenty of amenities that make it feel like a real vacation. Two minor areas for improvement: we had house keeping staff open the door without knocking on at least 3 occasions, once while we were sound asleep. We understand there is the Do Not Disturb tag but we didn’t expect disturbances at 7 am, 9 pm etc. Final minor complaint is that the room was hot, about 8 degrees warmer than our sleeping comfort. We could turn the air conditioning on but this did very little. And the windows barely cracked open. If you’re a hot sleeper, this would be a problem for you.

Loved our stay at The Shelbourne so much I'm not sure I would be willing to stay anywhere else if I visit Dublin again. Food was amazing, location was great, and our room was so quiet and comfortable.

First time to stay, a beautiful landmark Irish hotel. Deluxe room overlooked the back and an office building, I guess the views are kept for the suites. Recommend 1824 bar for a cocktail. Breakfast buffet was not as extensive as Dublins other 5-stars. Terrible hairdryer in our room. But overall very good.

O uniconquarto que nos ofereceram mais atual, ainda tinha um banheiro velho. E teriamos que pagar a exprbitante quantia de €160 a mais por noite para a troca do quarto. O hotel e chamoso. Mas existem opções melhores e por um preco melhor na cidade. Tipico hotel que detem uma fama e nomes tradicionais mas não se atualizou.

Everything was excellent, except the size of the room, small, and the bathroom, smaller. Not counting the shower, the bathroom was 3 feet wide and when sitting at the toilet, we could touch the faucet if we bent forward. Considering the room price, we were expecting more.

My husband and I stayed here as our first trip to Dublin and we were blown away! The location is excellent and the accommodations were above and beyond. We were so comfortable and loved that we could walk to many locations nearby. The only thing we noted about our room is that it was a little warm and the duvet was very heavy, but that may just be our preference. Everything else was superb!

We were really excited about stay in the shelbourne for NYE. We felt like 2nd Class citizens for most of our stay to be honest. From the welcome at reception to the service in the resistance bar. We booked a junior suite for a family of 4 and were very disappointed with the size of the standard double beds ( we were expecting king or queen at best). The suite itself was beautiful ly decorated with a Christmas tree and somw lovely treats for the kids on turn down.

I was very much looking forward to my stay at the Waldorf, but was very surprised when I was greeted at the front desk telling me my room wasn’t ready at 5:00 PM when the room should be ready by 3 PM. The young lady at the front desk said if I wanted to upgrade to 80 pounds I could get a king suite I then asked I have to spend extra money to get a room didn’t go over very well was very unhappy when I returned to the hotel at 7 PM, I did have a room. I looked out the window and it was cement and scaffolding. I loved the location but not the service. We were very disappointed.

On our wedding day treated terribly by a dreadful lady called Ursula. Having stayed in the shelbourne since the 80’s as a child it is clear to me the Marriott group has got it terribly wrong. I will definitely never stay there again.

This is a fantastic hotel in a wonderful location. It is very easy to walk to wonderful shopping, restaurants and food. The hotel also is in walking distance to several attractions such as Trinity College and Dublin Castle. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The hotel bars and food are excellent with an option or vibe for whatever you are looking for. I will certainly be staying again when I return to Dublin.
