Stay was great but didnt appreciate being blindsided by parking fees

A good hotel (Just don’t pay extra for a balcony view of the ocean Sooo not worth it!) I feel expedia customers always get put the furthest away as it was a very long walk just to the lifts. The outside pool was nice just hardly ever gets sunlight so it can be pretty cool. The room was excellent clean and the location was great to the beach and also only a few minutes to the town centre. Breakfast was great too!

The hotel and staff are really nice and the complimentary breakfast is delicious. What we didn’t like is that they don’t clean the pool often and that they allow non-guests to use it. If you’re looking for a family friendly hotel, this is not it.

The room was very spacious. The staff was always very pleasant. Loved the breakfast lady(lauren). Plenty of washer and dryers if you need to do laundry. They are coin. HOT tub was a great end to the day. It is outside.

Parking charge, $20 each night. 2. Swimming pool is Very small, about 8m long, 6m wide. The picture shown at website is misleading. 3. Found cockroach in the room, though small.\ Good to note: breakfast is good, with hot item, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, waffle machines, a lot of nuts supplies, Yogurt, Juice, Ice coffee and hot coffee It's also close to Pleasure Piers that we bring our children to, but pls know not all rides fit for young children (age 5 or less) at Pleasure Piers, some are too risky. Overall, we're satisfied with this trip and the staying in this hotel, will come back.

Location super convenient. The wait for the elevator is kinda ridiculous.

Great property across the street from the beach. Well kept. Great rooms. Great pool area. Great lobby. It made you want to hang out at the lobby for a drink and to relax. Good breakfast as well. Over great experience. I would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I stayed for a week. Everyone that we interacted with at the hotel was so nice! They were so helpful suggesting things to do and places to eat. The ladies at the front desk were right on top of anything we needed. The hotel itself was extremely clean and organized. They even had the carpets steamed while we were there. The public areas were always spotless. Breakfast was included and offered a wide selection of foods with plenty of seating. The pool area though small was very clean with plenty of seats plus a hot tub and firepit area. Plenty of parking spaces and always felt safe and well lit. Security was a priority throughout the building and only accessible with the room key. The gym looked clean and new with a lot of available equipment and having a laundry facility was a great convenience. The room itself was amazing! Very large and roomy with kitchen space which made it easy. Full size refrigerator, electric cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and sink made it easy to prepare meals when we didn't want to eat out. There was a large pull out couch for additional sleeping area. Two queen beds that were reasonable comfortable, a little on the firm side. The bedding was very comfortable and spotless. The bathroom was huge with a large walk in shower and dressing area. The area itself is walkable. Even though the weather didn't cooperate with us the majority of the time we still spent plenty of time walking the seawall. Can't recommend this place enough!

Cleanrooms. Staff very accommodating. Wish hotel would heat pool. Also hot tub was scalding hot. We had to ask staff daily to turn down heat so we were able to get in. Not just a personal preference every guest we talked to outside said same thing. Breakfast was wonderful

Stayed with family and had a wonderful experience. Room was large, clean & comfy. Wonderful breakfast options that changed each day. Staff was super friendly. Only disappointment was hot tub was too hot to get in 3 days we were there and pool was too cold. But overall had a great time and will be back.

Air conditioning was slow to cool down the room. The hallway floor in front of the elevators was wet. The room was clean, but had a strange odor.

This property had everything needed to travel with a young child. Our room was a studio king suite overlooking the gulf, and it was comfortable and quiet. The kitchenette had everything needed - coffe make and cups, cooking utensils, fridge and freezer, plates and bowls, some pots and pans. We enjoyed having the option of cooking a quick stovetop meal. The breakfasts were wonderful. We enjoyed that very much. The lobby was quiet and allowed my 2 year old to run around when he needed to get out of the room. There are tons of things to do nearby in Galveston and the convenience of this location is nice as it is nearly center of the island. So you’re close to everything. My only complaint is that I was over charged for my stay but the manager was quick to fix it. It was just a little frustrating that it happened. Overall I’d love to stay here again. I’m just not sure how long the property will be in good condition because you can tell it was not built well. Obviously it’s a sturdy building but the fixtures and other small things were not completed well. Our glass wall in the shower - nice but the floor got soaking wet. The tile was not sealed properly which will eventually allow moisture in and cause mold. The carpet is sticky inside the room and my child’s socks were black from walking on it for maybe an hour. A table leg in our room was wobbly. I couldn’t open the dishwasher all the way because the fridge was blocking it. The hallway walls damaged from the maids. Etc.

Wow!! I’m super picky and I need clean and friendly people around me to feel safe and comfortable. This hotel has it all. We arrived tired at 10pm. My son left his suitcase outside of the room! In the morning I called the front desk and they had saved it behind the desk. Everyone was so kind and polite. Smiles and greetings every turn. I love this place. The room was spectacular, clean, full kitchen, and beautiful view. We will be back for sure. This is the biggest bang for your buck. The breakfast was also great

Great place to stay before cruise. $15 parking not too bad. Excellent breakfast, so many options! The front desk clerk was personable and she helped us with all our questions. Bed was comfortable. Shower pressure excellent. We upgraded the internet to high speed for a zoom show i host. Internet was stable and great! No issues at all! Will be bacl again before our next cruise! The only negative was the smell of bug spray in the room. You could smell it in the kitchen but not where the bed was. There was not a bedbug encasement on the mattress which i think is much needed considering that epidemic. I insoected the mattress and all was clear so i felt ok to sleep there. It should be added. Everything in consideration we had a great experience.

Property was okay. The property has buildings between them and the sea wall so there isn’t a view of the beach. The hot tub was really a warm tub to the point kids thought it was just a smaller pool. There were a lot of reviews about the breakfast but it was severely lacking. The waffles were great and they had several toppings, but they viewed bacon as a premium and based on my stay it was only offered every other day. Rooms were nice but please do yourselves a favor and avoid the rooms with a king bed. Your view is of a wall and apparently that is the view for every one of those rooms. Your towels and trash only get rotated every other day. Don’t track sand in the room because they don’t clean the floor until you leave. Overall, not great but I’m sure i could have done worse. If you ask if I’d stay here again it would be a no.

Great location, rooms and view. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was great. We had three windows (ocean view suite) and could see the ocean from each window. We used the grill one night and also ate a nearby restaurant Gaido’s the first day we arrived (highly recommend).

Very big room. Comfortable for my family to stay the night. Pull out bed/couch was uncomfortable. The actual beds were comfortable. Breakfast was meh. Scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, cereal, yogurt, bagels etc, but it did the trick. It was clean. Service was great. Pool and hot tub are outside.

Literally everything about this stay was great! Room was spacious with a tv that swiveled from the living room to the bed. Beautiful of the ocean. Comfy bed. Awesome shower. Friendly staff. Food selection was good although it could have been a little hotter. Plenty of parking and luggage racks. Everything clean and great condition. Eastlake access to the beach and town.

Great location, nice room but the clean up & restock service was terrible! I understand only cleaning every 2 days if the room is actually cleaned.

While my stay was a bit hectic I really and so thankful for all the staff at the hotel! They were so helpful after hotels.com almost ruined my trip and got my prices changed to more than double the original price I agreed to. They were so accommodating and fixed it. Thank you all so much!!! I wanted to cry but you all were so sympathetic and helped immediately. I will never book with hotels.com again after this! The rooms were so big and clean and it’s close to everything I never paid more than $8 for a Lyft to get to where I needed to go. I can’t say it enough how appreciative I am for the hotel staff and how kind they were to me and my 3 daughters while traveling. Would absolutely stay here again.

The staff was amazing

The staff is excellent! Their customer service is above normal expectations! This applies to everyone we encountered during our week's stay. A service staff member and manager carried our luggage upstairs when the power went out. Every day they spoke with us to see how we were doing and remembered who we were always. The hotel has wonderful amenities and the room was very clean. This is a quiet hotel, even though there were quite a few people staying there. Access to the beach was important yo us, and we were able to walk across the street. Local dining and shops helped make our trip even more relaxing with ease of getting to them. We already know we will stay here the next time we visit. We also referred our family to this hotel! Thank you for such a wonderful stay! You took good care of us!

The staff was very polite and helpful. However, when we had bad weather causing the hotel to lose power from 7:00 to 3:00, the management offered nothing to compensate us. We had food in the refrigerator and hoped it didn’t spoil.

Check in was great. The person who was working around 1130 on Thursday evening was the best (unfortunately I didn’t catch her name.) During the day, no one would answer the phone and I would have to call multiple times. Tried charging my card numerous times for a service animal. Lady at the desk in the afternoons (Gina I believe) needs better manners and customer service. Always sounds like guests are inconveniencing her. Pool and hot tub were nice. Conveniently located. Very quiet and room was nice. Will be reaching out to Marriott to express concern over the service animal policy per ADA as my daughter has Autism and felt they were making it difficult. Otherwise everything else was great!

We had to take our own trash down to front desk cause they wouldn’t come pick it up.

Horrible, we were trying to have a nice vacation but with the hotel it got messed up. I booked my hotel 1 month before to be able to book for one with ocea view. I called after to request the highest floor so we can see the ocean as much as we could since we are paying more for an ocean view and the person that answered comfirmed with me that it was all set. But once we got there to check in, they said they didnt have any request and they didnt add the details. What us the point of calling and making a request if they are not going to take it in consideration. We were also told that parking was not included and we had to pay, even tho i confirmed with the person that answered the call that everything was included even laudry. They were not specific about any details. The ROOMS are very very small. We paid for a large room with 2 beds but we didnt even get the room we requested and paid for. There was no soap to wash the hands in the restrooms. The rooms waa dirty and dusty in poor conditions. For breakfast there was only waffles. We were expecting something a little better but no. We will never be coming back to this hotel. What a shame.

The property is fairly new and in wonderful condition. It was centrally located and comfortable. Our kids loved the pool and it was nice to have dining options within walking distance.

Great hotel in Galveston! We stayed one night before a cruise. It was very clean and the rooms are large and some offer ocean views. It is a couple minute walk to the beach. Easy Uber ride to the cruise port. We loved our stay here!

Easy access to Seawall

As someone who always leaves reviews I feel the need to share. This place was perfect! No complaints. Walking distance to beach. Walking distance to at least five restaurants. Felt safe and luxury and my four year old kept wanting to "go back to the room"

Bartender was not friendly & charged me $11 for a single shot-talk about overpriced. Parking also for $15 when you have paid to stay there is basically a hidden extra fee! Nice hotel/clean! Great breakfast!

The staff was very nice and friendly. The rooms were great. Large rooms, comfy beds and pillows which is very important to me. The only con for me was always sausage for breakfast. No type of potatoes or bacon or biscuits. Something different than sausage. Overall great stay!
