Front desk girl was super courteous and knowledgeable, and gave some great tips on things to do. Server at breakfast was also super sweet and gave some great tips on things to do nearby. My only complaint is that if you ask for something outside of the scope of what is their normal routine - you may get some deer-in-the-headlights stares, like "that doesn't compute". The akward silence I received after asking to sit by the window during breakfast was a little confusing, but it all worked out in the end. The Speakeasy on the lower level was great, loved the bartenders, and the whole set up. Drinks were delicous. We had reservations on Open Table (which I strongly recommend), but arrived a little bit late due to coming from the airport, so the kitchen was closed unfortunately and we missed out on trying their food menu. Room was super clean, and comfortable.

This property was renovated from an office building and it is beautiful. Very clean, smells good, the room was compact but spacey. Everything is new. It’s downtown and within walking distance of historical sites and restaurants. Highly recommend. Only downside is parking $45 for self and $55 for valet. It is downtown though. Still highly recommended. Staff very friendly and helpful.

This is an excellent place to stay. * Service - great * Room - great * Breakfast - great There's a gym, which is good enough for a quick workout. From what I can see it's not super close to e.g Waikiki, but it's good enough with an Uber. The only (minor) complaints I have is that the room lights are not dimmable, and that the fridge is pretty noisy, which I had to turn off to be able to sleep. Also had I tried the burger for dinner, which was not the best for the price but was good enough. Next time in Hawaii I'd stay here again!

Stayed 1 night. Clean, stylish rooms with super comfortable bed. Business district - dead, nothing open on Sunday to walk to. Had light snacks in the lounge; food and service were good on par with what you'd expect at a Marriott. Would be better if the hotel offered a pool or hot tub and the valet or front desk could make change to pay gratuities.

The hotel is excellent for business clients. It isn't suitable for business/leisure activities as it has no real outdoor area or pool facilities. The staff is outstanding especially Nolu (Front Desk Manager) who calmly handled several client issues while I waited to check in and then went above and beyond to assist me. He is a gem and an amazing ambassador for the hotel.

The staff was great! Helpful, attentive, the restaurant was fabulous. Just disappointed in the lack of counters wiped off there phone sits and by the desk. I had to get out my Clorox wipes to deal with the sticky mess left behind. Floors were ok, not great.

The room was exceptionally small. There was no room for our suitcases, limited towel racks to hang wet towels, tiny bathroom with only 1 sink and small mirror. We had to go in search of clean towels because they only made up the room every other day. Breakfast was expensive and lame - granted, it was during the egg shortage, but prices didn't reflect receiving half the portion. On our second day there the selection was EXTREMELY limited. Overall, we spent almost $1,200 for 3 days. Outside area was ok; not great. Very disappointing; but the room was clean and the bed comfortable.

We are not fans of the European/new age style of hotel rooms. Terrible shower, and bath area. Also I am an early riser, and you cannot turn on any light without it making all areas bright. Future stays will be with traditional hotel rooms!

I paid a lot for this room, and when I got to the room, I was placed in the front of the street with all the traffic I heard all of the cars very loud. The isolation of the sound is very bad. I asked to change room and in the room that I got placed, all the people on every side of the wall we were up at 3 o’clock in the morning because the isolation of the room wasn’t good at all so we paid very expensive for a hotel that wasn’t comfortable for us and we told them and they couldn’t do nothing about it. They said their beds were all like. This

15-20 minutes walk to chinatown which has many restaurant options but with many shuttered properties. Staff is nice and attentive. Room layout efficient ( sink is 5 feet from your bed which sounds bad but actually nicely designed).

Good restaurant and bar, lots of potential with remodeled layout. Rooms are small, but the shower is modern, with both handheld and rainfall head. What we didn’t like, and with prior Expedia bookings, is we’re first put into likely the worst room in the hotel (street side, next to exercise room. We asked to be moved, and given a 5th floor, for a 2 night stay.

First of all, the rooms are very small, almost like a cruise ship stateroom. The area has lots of homeless people hanging around. The restaurant is no bargain. $18 for 2 pancakes seems excessive to me, even for Hawaii.

We moved here from the other hotel due to its closeness to the airport, parking on site and elevators. From here we toured the Arizona Memorial and the Polynesian Cultural Center. It was an easy walk to the Queen’s palace but it was not open during our stay. The staff was very helpful and attentive all during our stay. A great place to stay in downtown.

The staff ALWAYS GREETED us, whether we were coming or going. The staff was very helpful and one guy went out of his way to call a cab for us so we could get to an event on time. The front desk staff held our luggage for us until it was time to head out to the airport. I definitely will come back when I visit.

The hotel was in very good physical condition... But what impressed me and my family most was the people working there. We had a problem with the room ... they were there to fix it in 5 minutes. We needed something for the room ... they were there in 5 minutes. ALWAYS polite, friendly and with a smile. Yes .. it was a hotel and they were charging us to be there ... but the feel was not that of the other hotels we stayed in during the trip. I will definately stay here next time.

Although the hotel was clean, the front desk staff was rude and non professional. The day I checked in I actually wanted to stay a few more days...but immediately the staff started barking out prices and fees like i was some sort of vagrant. I agreed to the fees only to change my mind later and end my stay as originally planned....

I had to fly to Oahu for same day surgery. Was told to be at the hospital by 8am but then my appointment got moved to 130pm. Needed a place to hang out. Went to the hotel to ask if ok to hang out in their lobby. The receptionist Nalu said I could check into my room-7 hours early. Unprecedented. Really appreciated the compassion and having a comfortable place to be. Thank you!

We were extremely pleased with our stay in AC by Marriott Hotel Honolulu. The hotel is located in a very good location if you are going on a cruise. It was a 20 minutes walk to the pier 2 cruise terminal from hotel. The hotel was not in a congested area. It was a quiet hotel and we got a good nights sleep, The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner got the room cool. The area around hotel and the hotel itself was very clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

Perfect place for a short stay in Honolulu. Close from the airport. Convenient location to take a bus to Ala Moana Center and other fun places. The only downside was there were few dining options since it was located in the business area.

Ive stayed at other ac marriott locations and was surprised at the difference at ac honalulu. Arrived late at nite and had homeless people sleeping on sidewalk, next to valet. Stopped by a safeway before to pick up a few essentials and area did not feel safe.Believe next time to stay more along shore.

Very quiet and friendly stay — if you want to avoid noise if Waikiki, it’s close to the cruise terminal and the Aloha Tower. Very obliging staff and a great location — walking distance to China Town.

Beautiful staff. Functional room (one basin for room ie share for toilet and kitchenette area). Outside, the area is full of homeless people, poor sanitation. Would not walk outside at night.

I liked the way it was beautifully renovated. I did not like the only restaurant which had only one really delicious entree, the TDL Burger and fries. The other choices were mediocre and very expensive. Also, no concierge to book sightseeing tours for you.

At check in we were told to have a complimentary cocktail at 4:00 in the bar. At the bar we were told nothing is complimentary. Web site states breakfast is on the hotel, “most important meal of the day “. At check out were were told the web site is misleading and it’s $35 per person.
