Cookies and smores in the evening. Blueberry muffin in the morning. Lovely hot tub. You can walk to white cap if you want but plenty of shuttles. What’s not to like? Rooms are a bit dated - our bathroom door for example had peeling wood - but clean and comfortable.

Everything I needed for a great price! Excellent location and hospitality. The employees made all the difference with their caring attitude and attention to detail. Hot cocoa bar, coffee and spritzer drink stations were a nice surprise. Hot tub was a good size. Strong hot shower, comfortable beds, water station to refill bottles and other creature comforts made us decide to stay here again in the future. Please be aware there is no elevator.

Perfectly located, cheaply built poorly maintained. Folks at the desk are pleasant and friendly, linens are clean, coffee and muffins in the a.m. Parking was a muddy mess, not marked out, so not enough spaces for guests. Got stuck trying to circle around.

I was very surprised at how nice the interior of the building was and the hot tub and fire pit area too. Love all the extras in the lobby hot chocolate bar, drinks, cookies out of the oven. all very nice

The beds were comfortable and the mini frig was a nice feature but the carpet could use replacing and the bathroom is very small. For an older facility, everything was spotless! Two-levels of lounging both with a big stone fireplace and family games stocked at the tables(we played Monopoly in big beautiful camp theme wood chairs by the fire after taking a dip in the hot tub; fresh baked cookies all day, hot chocolate “bar” with so many toppings, Smores station for the fire pits on the patio with the large hot tub! The staff makes me you feel like you are guests in their “home” - very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy and the rooms are no frills but have plenty of floor space/elbow room for lugging in bags of ski gear for a family of four (we had a room with 2 queen beds). We were given fresh towels within moments of requesting them. Less experience than the other lodging options in the same area so we were very surprised at what a gem this place is considering it doesn’t look fancy or anything from the outside. Will absolutely stay here again.

Our stay was affordable . The staff was kind . Rooms were clean . There was a shuttle bus to the mountain that was so convenient. The mountain was only 1 minute from the hotel . On the go muffins for breakfast were delicious as well as the home baked chocolate chip cookies .

Great proximity to the slopes, very clean, friendly service, great unadvertised perks like fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the afternoons and blueberry muffins in the morning. Be aware, property is very dog friendly if you have allergies. Overall, highly recommended.

Clean rooms, great amenities, free shuttle back and forth to mountain. Very friendly and accommodating staff. My only complaint was the pillows, but that is pure personal preference. We loved the main and second floor common areas with fire places. They also had great space for board games( they provided tons!) dog friendly, but quiet and peaceful. Such great value!

The carpet had a strong odor. We had to check in after 8pm in the grand hotel, the front desk person although helpful seemed to be very stressed. There should be clear information of how to get to the Snow Cap Inn from the hotel. The room was very warm and the thermostat did not function correctly.

Our stay at this hotel was disappointing due to several issues: 1) Upon entering our room, we discovered what appeared to be a cockroach. We checked in late, after 10 p.m., and when we tried to contact the front desk for assistance, no one was available. Despite dialing multiple times, we received no response, and we ended up having to deal with the insect ourselves. When we mentioned this to the front desk the next day, we were told that due to the cold weather, insects coming indoors were to be expected, implying that guests should anticipate this during their stay. 2) The bathroom ventilation was not functioning. 3) While the room had air conditioning, the control panel was unresponsive, leaving us unable to adjust the temperature. As a result, the room was uncomfortably cold throughout our stay.

Property needs renovations and seems a little run down. Our room had a whistling toilet that kept us up the first night and this was after maintenance came 3x to try and fix it . We asked to switch rooms but they didn’t have anything the first night. We were able to switch the second night but they put us on the first floor under the stairs and at 7 am you can tell when everyone was getting ready to go to the mountain because it sounded like elephants over our head. Staff is friendly overall and they lay our blueberry muffins in the morning and cookies and s’mores kits in the afternoon. For a short ski trip it’s a great value but would not stay there for more than 2 nights.

The only problem was the bathroom was small and the stool was set crooked so it wasn’t comfortable sitting on the stool. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and the check in was easy!

The good: super friendly staff, beautiful new hot tub, comfortable beds, warm blueberry muffins at breakfast time, very close to the ski slopes. The bad: paper-thin walls mean you will DEFINITELY hear your neighbors, and if they have loud voices it will feel like they are actually in your room. The whole building shakes when you close a room door! The tiniest bathrooms I've ever seen. No dedicated towels for the hot tub, so you get your room towels all stinky with the chemical scent. No elevator that we saw, so luggage is a bit of a pain. Our stay here was fine, and by far the most affordable stay on-property at Sunday River. But we were there in the early season when the Inn was mostly empty. I would not stay here at peak season, or on a weekend, for sure, because of the noise.

Key secured at adjacent property; key didn’t work, so had to put luggage back in car and drive back to adjacent property for new key. Phone number shown at front desk to seek help didn’t forward, so no means to seek help or report any emergency. Thermostat fan disabled, so no air movement without playing with heat/cool settings. Significant deodorizer smell to mask mustiness; very difficult to sleep. Cookies left out in lobby, nice touch, but uncovered; better if individually placed in zip-lock bag to maintain sanitary status. Hotel designed for ski season; trying to draw business in off season. Our first impression was not great as when we arrived at the hotel there was no one at the desk just a sign to go to one of their other hotels down the road to check in. So we got back in the car and drove down the road to check in during which I had the surprise dropped on me that even though I had paid for our room in full when I booked it that there was a $50 hold that needed to put on the room for incidentals which would be totally fine if I had known about this when booking the room. Then I was told it would be put back on my card after checking out but there could be a 7-10 day hold on the refund depending on the bank. The room was nice just as pictured on the site. The beds were just a little uncomfortable and we couldn’t get the ac to keep the room cool. The next morning when we went to check out again no one at the desk just a few room keys other guest had left on the counter. I normally like to check out with someone so I know they have received my key back. The area was very pretty. So over all I guess it was about a 60/40 stay. I think if in the area again maybe we would give this hotel another chance.

Came up here for a long-weekend trip at Sunday River. This place is right near the mountain, and has a shuttle bus from the parking lot to the mountain that runs every 30 min or so. We were there from a Friday-the following Tuesday. There was a nice "hang-out" spot on the 2nd floor, stocked with board games, books, and had a nice fire going. There is also a locker to put your skis, but unfortunately, the boots do not fit into the lockers. From Friday-Sunday, there were numerous staff around to assist guests, as well as a promptly re-stocked hot drink station, along with muffins in the morning and cookies in the afternoon. From Monday-Tuesday, there was not front desk staff present, and you had to call a different numbner in order to get assistance. The hot drink station was also barren, and there were no muffins or cookies as previously mentioned. Came up here for a long-weekend trip at Sunday River. This place is right near the mountain, and has a shuttle bus from the parking lot to the mountain that runs every 30 min or so. We were there from a Friday-the following Tuesday. There was a nice "hang-out" spot on the 2nd floor, stocked with board games, books, and had a nice fire going. There is also a locker to put your skis, but unfortunately, the boots do not fit into the lockers. From Friday-Sunday, there were numerous staff around to assist guests, as well as a promptly re-stocked hot drink station, along with muffins in the morning and cookies in the afternoon. From Monday-Tuesday, there was not front desk staff present, and you had to call a different numbner in order to get assistance. The hot drink station was also barren, and there were no muffins or cookies as previously mentioned. When we reached the hotel, there was no one at front desk. Luckily there was a hotel guest passing by and I asked and he mentioned I had to go to the main hotel Grand Summit hotel. The staff at the main hotel was friendly. But it almost seems they receive guests that already know where everything is at. I felt a bit lost. you have to get in the car to drive to the main hotel, but how was I supposed to know that? if it wasn't for the hotel guest, I don't know what would've happened. The phones I had were not responding.

Key secured at adjacent property; key didn’t work, so had to put luggage back in car and drive back to adjacent property for new key. Clean rooms, great amenities, free shuttle back and forth to mountain. Very friendly and accommodating staff. My only complaint was the pillows, but that is pure personal preference. We loved the main and second floor common areas with fire places. They also had great space for board games( they provided tons!) dog friendly, but quiet and peaceful. Such great value!

Wonderful staff who greeted us and our golden retriever with both smiles and doggie treats. The fresh-baked chocolate cookies were scrumptious and the morning muffins quite yummy. The hotel is cozy with its decor. Highly recommend.

Everything I needed for a great price! Excellent location and hospitality. The employees made all the difference with their caring attitude and attention to detail. Hot cocoa bar, coffee and spritzer drink stations were a nice surprise. Hot tub was a good size. Strong hot shower, comfortable beds, water station to refill bottles and other creature comforts made us decide to stay here again in the future. Please be aware there is no elevator.

The beds were comfortable and the mini frig was a nice feature but the carpet could use replacing and the bathroom is very small. We really enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and fire put, morning coffee and blueberry muffins and afternoon hot cocoa bar, chocolate chip cookies and smores. The lobby areas are very warm and inviting with fire places, comfy furniture and games and the area shuttle is extremely convenient.

Snow Cap Inn was perfect!! My husband and I stayed here for one night in March for a last minute ski trip to Sunday River. The rooms were clean and cute. Loved the hot chocolate station and the warm choc chip cookies! Staff was so friendly and nice, will definitely be back!
