We stayed in a king room. It was very spacious and clean. The bed was amazingly comfy and pillows o' plenty! We valet parked the car as an option and never had to worry again. There was always a security guard and we needed a key card to access all points at the facility. We felt VERY safe. We walked to Oracle Park, China Town, Civic Center, and Union Sqare so the location was perfect. I do wish we had a refrigerator and air conditioner in the room. But that being said...totally not a game changer for us and would definitely stay again. THE POOL WAS AWSOME!

Great customer service with limited parking that relies exclusively on their valet service. My room was very warm at night with no ability to cool it off. The television faced a wall instead of either the beds or the couch. This is an older hotel in need of room renovations. The restaurant was under construction when I stayed. My kids loved the heated pool.

The hotel room was clean and confortable. Be prepared, there is a lot of homeless in the neighboorhood. Nice pool on the roof. The breakfast is very good but no hot options. The downside is that the hotel is under renovations. It is very noisy. Also, the walls are not soundproof. Every time someone comes back at night, it awakes you. Other then that, very confortable. The valet parking is expensive and it is not a great service. I had advise the day before that i was leaving at 4 am and needed the car to be available. When i go to the lobby at 4h, the attendant is trying to wake up the owner of another car that is blocking mine. I ended up 30 minutes late to the airport. This service could be better.

The hotel itself was not terrible. Just like the reviews. The lobby was probably the nicest part. Although the breakfast could have been set up in a more efficient way. Also, it would have been nice to have the option to use the amenities instead of being forced to. Not to mention the pool could have been about 10° warmer for being a heated pool. They charge you whether you use them or not. I had no water pressure in the hotel room. It was like having someone spit water at you to wash the shampoo out of your hair. We did have hot water though. All in all it was okay. I don't agree with having to pay for a covered parking space since those parking spaces were put there for the hotel specifically. It should have been one charge for the whole time of parking, not a charge per day. I spent about half as much on parking as I did for the hotel which almost doubled my cost. That's close to a month's worth of my rent where I'm from. Most likely wouldn't stay there again for the price.

The motel is under construction and remodel, but the pool is beautiful and the parking is secure BUT NOT FREE. Be ready to pay $60 for overnight parking, but it is take out of the deposit on the room.

Staff was superior and parking was only $50.00 a nite compared to 75.00 all over and 24 hr valet. 24 hr door dash where frt desk accepts for you. Parts of hotel NOT involving common area under construction but totally ok. Price was amazing

The staff were friendly and helpful. Our door wouldn't lock, but they fixed it right away. The property felt secure and safe. Discrepancy in charges of parking vs what I was quoted on the phone. My bill was adjusted but I had to ask. Shower had no pressure at all! This seems usual for hotels but it was below normal pressure. They had early morning construction that woke us at 7:30! No warning or notification about it. This would've been great to know about in advance. Sounds like I'm complaining a lot but aside from construction, our overall stay was nice.

Bad area, no restaurants or stores at all within walking or driving distance. For a place that doesn't have breakfast options or extremely limited breakfast options it's an extreme inconvenience. Lost of homeless and drug addicts around but that's typical in San Francisco these days. My biggest complaint is my bathroom upon arrival was NOT cleaned. There were urine droplets on the toilet seat that were very noticeable and probably done by the cleaning staff. Also my night stand table had something spilled on it so that wasn't at all wiped either. The room was freezing cold at night. The bed did appear to be clean but after seeing the urine the whole bathroom felt off for me.

The body wash was completely empty. There was dental floss stuck to the bathroom wall. The outlet by the sink is old and plugs just fall out. The property in general just has an old worn out feel to it.

The property is undergoing serious renovations. They are not transparent about this. The photos are misleading, the pictures pasted are only of the areas completed. No early check-in because they have construction going on throughout the entire property. The building in the photo is actually the property next door. This was my walk to/from my room. The room was clean. There was what sorted to be mold in the light/heat fixture above the shower. It just was a weird experience. Had to go across the street to use the lobby bathroom at Hotel Fiona. So it’s really not even ready for renting IMO.

Check in was fine. Once we got our room keys and walked to our rooms we noticed a dated elevator and certain hallways were either under construction or just not kept up. Upon walking into our room, I noticed a dirty razor left in the shower. That same night, the next room had a young couple who played loud music. I had to call the front desk to complain. Later that same night/early morning, that same young couple I presume, were moving rooms and for about 10 minutes were constantly allowing the entry door to both rooms to slam shut as they were moving their belongings. Both my brother in law and I went to the front desk to complain in the morning and ask to be moved to another section of the hotel. I was asked if I wanted ear plugs instead. With obvious displeasure written all over my face we were eventually relocated. That night/early morning, the same young couple were having a very heated argument for the world to hear. My wife opened our room door and was approached by the hotel security guard who asked if he should call 911. That morning both my room and my brother in laws room had no hot water for showers. Needless to say this hotel is absolutely horrible. Staff is not the brightest and there is never a manager on the property.

The property has some lovely aspects to it - comfy beds and good front desk staff. Unfortunately I had repeat days with no room clean and a flooded bathroom which I raised. I also had a day when I came back at night with the door to my room open and the lights on. I felt very unsafe as did my 12 year old son and this affected our stay.

We waited over an hour to check in because rooms weren't ready. There were at least 5 other parties in the lobby with the same delay. We were told 15 minutes. We asked what was the cause for delay and they wouldn't say. We found out later that there was a staff shortage for housekeeping (which is valid and totally understandable). But again, they should have told us. There was no lobby bathroom while we waited. The facility in general is run down, the rooms are tiled but the courtyard has carpet... why? The rooms had no mini fridge. The coffee maker and supplies were stored near the floor so we didn't use it. We had to wear shoes inside because the floor were dirty. The showers needed to be cleaned better. The security and valet gentlemen were so kind and helpful, 5 stars. Nathan and Sam at the front desk were professional and kind, 5 stars. The operations manager that checked us out could have been friendlier. The area has MANY people living with addiction and homelessness and they occupy most of the area. There are many places to eat, shop, sightsee, and partake in recreational cannabis in the surrounding area. Lots of public transportation and beautiful architecture all within walking distance.

The rooms are fine. What was surprising was the sound proofing being fairly good. Room didn’t seam so bad, it’s just you get what you pay for. Refrigerators aren’t in all rooms. Bathrooms are tiny and door wasn’t flush to ground.

The staff were the saving grace of this hotel. It was moderately comfortable, but the room was poorly lit and the environment was extremely noisy. I could hear people talking and shouting and banging doors throughout the night. I complained to the staff and they did what they could, so I'm grateful to them. Breakfast was nice and I enjoyed that each day.

Looks like property was going through remodel so exterior not as shown on site. Very noisy streets and windows do not keep any of the noise out seemed like very thin walls so everything happening in building cam be heard. Rooms are spacious and clean, good options for coffee and bread in morning.

The rooms are clean, however bathroom is not safe for taking a shower--there are no grab bars and one could fall in the shower. Rooms are not soundproof--you can hear people in room next door. Neighborhood is unsafe. We had to pay for valet parking and the next morning when we went to get our car the valet couldn't find the keys He finally did, but I was late for my medical treatment as a result the

I’m glad the hotel honored the free parking from when I booked it months prior, because it’s now over $60 a night. I’ve stayed here twice before and the room I got this time was half the size, and they even said they upgraded me??? Luckily I was by myself, so I didn’t need much room. The bed was extremely comfortable and probably my favorite thing about the place. There is no water pressure in the shower, so that was unfortunate. Also, there is no AC, and the window doesn’t open, only a ceiling fan over the bed. I was definitely sweating trying to get ready in the mornings. The pool area looks nice, but every time I’ve stayed has been for events, so I never have time to use it. I more than likely won’t be staying here again because the price just isn’t justified with what you get. I will say again though that the beds are very comfy!

The service was really good but they had key issues when we arrived. Their system was down for a long time. They did the best they could but it was still a bad start to our stay. The room is not very nice considering we had the executive suite which wasn't even on the top floor. It was also expensive for the tiniest but of extra space. It wasn't very clean. They also had construction going that was noisy.

This hotel is not as advertised in the photos. The breakfast the first day was old bagels, green oranges, and tubes of cream cheese with no cutlery. We were told that they were out of breakfast by 9am. There is no lobby bathroom due to construction at the hotel. Parking was $60/nt plus tax. Neighbourhood is in transition and includes several small restaurants and coffee shops with a large homeless population throughout the neighbourhood. Makes walking during the evening a bit less comfortable. The hotel is run down and the rooms have no air conditioning so it was very humid and stuffy during our whole stay. Overall, would not recommend, particularly for a family. The manager was unwilling to offer any compensation or apology for the situation. Front desk staff were helpful and apologetic.

The room was so clean and you can tell it's been renovated. The staff was so friendly and made our stay so helpful accommodation some of my mom's requests. While the hotel itself is so nice, the area around it is still a little rough. Not a spot I'd recommend walking back to late at night if you're unfamiliar with the city/by yourself.

No staff at check in available. Had to step out and had the valet staff member radio in someone to check us in. Construction noise outside early in the morning. You can hear other guests foot steps and activities when sleeping. The elevators are slow and need servicing.

Thank you Soma House for our clean room and friendly customer service. We stayed at the Soma House for a concert we were going to at the Bill Graham Civic Center. Perfect location and within walking distance. I don't recommend walking at night. Overall, I would stay here again for another event at the Bill Graham Civic Center.

The Soma house was a pleasant surprise for me. I enjoyed the view and locations surrounding the area. That being said it is close to the tenderloin and that comes with challenges for safely walking into more interesting areas of the city.

Hotel staff were great and graciously moved me to a quieter room at check in. The rooms are basic but clean and I appreciated the free parking. Breakfast is fruit, small pastries, coffee, and tea. The hotel is 2 blocks from lots of public transportation options and is by the Civic Center, which is where there are a higher number of people who are unhoused, but as a solo traveler I didn't feel unsafe. I would definitely stay here again.

I was surprised to see such a reasonable rate at a nice-looking hotel in SF proper, but took a chance. The hotel itself is under renovation, but the lobby is quite lovely as was our room. The staff upgraded us to a larger room at check-in. The amenities in the room were well appointed and thoughtful. Noise from renovation was a bit disruptive during the day, but I can tell they’re putting a lot of energy into making the place look nice. Be careful of 6th street - not safe to walk at night. Security at the hotel felt solid though, valet parking is recommended, and as long as you stick to 7th street I think you’re fine.

The property was in a convenient location and walking distance to the shopping area. It was safe enough for us to walk to the Chase Center (about 30 minutes walk). There are security guards that made it even safer for us. Rooms are average but clean enough.

Breakfast is very limited. Just coffee, without any milk (incredible!), and tea. No juices, or yogurth, neither else. Cakes and pastries are instead very good. More, at the end of the stay, they charge 20 dollars per day which includes the use of swimming pool, etc., even in case you are there for reasons of work and you never used these facilities. Absurd, this is a fraud.

Loved the pool and all the amenities! Room was a little smaller than I thought it would be but it was still good! Really clean! Just disappointed it didn’t have a microwave or fridge but once again, all good. The continental breakfast was a little underwhelming too. I would come back though because it was affordable for what it included!
