Great location. Facility poorly maintained. Room smelled pretty bad. Pool water was murky. Staff were polite and try to help, but there is no much they can do unless the owners invest some money on upgrades and repairs.

So check in was easy and friendly. Room was clean. Was a bit not happy that it had no fridge, so we had to ice and cooler drinks/food. There is no price difference like not cheaper or anything without them. The beds were clean and well made but not super comfy. Also DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS!! So first thing in the morning our 11 year old get stuck in the elevator, halfway between floors. Staff tried resetting the elevator but had no one on staff that new how to emergency open it. Needless to say our daughter was very brave but understandably freaked the F out. Thankfully the local fire department was AMAZING! They had her out within 5 minutes of them arriving. While waiting the Manager was saying how it gets stuck a lot! I mean really! Obviously there was a problem here, not cool! I mean sure they felt bad and said they would make it right but over a month later we have heard nothing so our next trip will not include this hotel.

The staff is great! The amenities are lacking. We were promised breakfast but because of the "change over to Super 8" that has been cancelled. We were promised laundry facilities in the laundry room. The Washer is always breaking down. The coin op part on the machine kept my quarters after it got stuck. I have yet to get my quarters back. The bathroom door is broken. The florescent lights over the bathroom vanity are out. I reported all these issues immediately and have yet for them to be fixed. Otherwise, the cleaning staff is great. Just use the dnd sign if you don't want them to open your door at an inopportune time. No roaches, no bed bugs or unsightly such issues.

Property in need of updates. Dumpsters were full of dirty mattresses and commodes. The restaurant next door was shuttered. The housekeeping staff banged on my door one hour before check-out to remind me of check-out time even though the do not disturb indicator was on the door. Plenty of parking. No restrooms in the lobby. Sheets were stained.

Pool was closed down. Was told it was because someone put soap in it, but it was very murky looking and there was an older closed sign which told me it had been down awhile. Smoke alarm was wrapped in a plastic bag. Surfaces in room were not all clean…Easy access from the north side of Houston, Dennys right next door which was nice.

Do not let the pictures or location fool you. We stayed in room 205 and cranked the air down to keep the germs from breeding. I was disgusted with all the roaches. Barbara offered to move us, but nothing was available. We left the next day ASAP. I saw mold on the ceiling and dried blood on the bathroom door. The roaches and bugs grossed me out, and I couldn't sleep. I used my small, clean blanket from the car and wrapped myself for comfort and as a shield from bugs. I wanted to sleep in my vehicle. It was that bad. When I got home, I left my bags and washed everything. That place was disgusting.

We stayed for 2 nights for a softball tournament. There were knats and mosquitoes in our room. It smelled like cigarettes (very strong odor). Come Saturday we get back from being at the softball fields all morning and our room was not cleaned at all. I called front desk to see if they do clean rooms for guest that stay longer than one night and apparently they were slammed so cleaning didn’t get done. No notification from the hotel about our rooms not being cleaned. Saturday night again knats and mosquitoes but now my daughter felt stuff crawling in the bed. She woke up the next day with bites in her stomach and her back. I have reached out to the hotel it is now Tuesday and I have yet to hear from them. Will never stay at this hotel again. Only positive thing was the lady from the front Saturday evening was very nice. She gave a bottle of Lysol to spray in the room. It was too late to try and find a new hotel to go to. I have little ones as well that stayed with me during my stay there.

All the rooms I have inspected had a really bad moldy smell. Humidity was tangible. Carpet was soaked, mattress and sheets as well. I believe that the entire building has been flooded during the last hurricane. Elevator was out of order. I had multiple nights booked, I escaped after the first one.

The reception was very clean and organized. But the room left something to be desired. It smelled musty, there was a cockroach, and the bathtub was very old. It might be cheaper and the place is modest, but cleanliness is paramount. That's what's missing here.

The room lacked basic make ready maintenance like basic paint and cleaning. There was a dirty towel behind a bedside table that the cleaning team must have overlooked. I noticed on the first night of my stay that the tv powered on but i was unable to get any cable input so, like any normal person i attempted to contact the office via the room phone. Whelp, i guess i should not have been shocked but it also did not work. I stopped by the office on my second night of the stay to ask the staff if maybe there was a special way to get the direct tv system to actually work in my room but was told that the maintenance crew was off campus and it couldn't be looked at until the following day. Sadly, the young woman showed zero concern nor any empathy or a simple apology for the inconvenience. The rate per night was excellent, especially considering the holiday weekend! Beyond that, I believe the owners should possibly take some time to perform the necessary cleaning and upgrades that would make customers want to revisit their facility.

Expedia charged my credit card forTHREE night when I only booked 1 night and said I would pay AT THE PROPERTY. Now I have to deal with management to get a refund. The TV was broken and the bathroom smelled like fried chicken all night which obviously the people in the next room were having for dinner. My clothes and the sheets and the floor and everything were damp from the humidity being pumped in by the a/c unit. No blowdryer. No refrigerator. I thought those were just standard amenities.

There were a few gnats flying around the bathroom sink, the tv would go blank after 10 minutes asking for WiFi password, which didn’t let you put in to work. Maintenance was quick about coming in to “fix” it but it was just to show us how to get around it. Weird.

This hotel is very old and dated. It's right off the freeway and very noisy. I would pay a little more and stay at the Aloft or something newer. Pool was actually decent. It is close to the Cynthia Woods Pavilion. They didn't give me my license and credit card back when I checked in and had to go get them. Our phone and tv doesn't work in our room and our covers had stains. I wouldn't stay here again.

Opened the door. Saw a dead roach right at the inside entry… carpet was wet and sticky. I was watching tv in the bed and saw a bug crawl right on the covers. Killed it, squirted orange fluid All over the main cover. I searched the entire bed for more bugs, didn’t find any. Couldn’t sleep for hours… fruit flies in the bathroom. Smell was horrible. Probably worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Staff was good but room was AWFUL. Nonstop sounds of a highway. Which ended up being the least of the issues… tv is small and barely Works. It’s literally like I was being punked lol I mean, for $60 I guess it’s what you get for that price. I’d never stay here again, even for free.

Great stay. There was an issue initially with the type of room booked. They were sold out but the manager authorized the desk clerk to move some things around and accommodate us. So wonderful!

The property was full of questionable characters. The lady at the front desk was very rude and disrespectful. I watched her accept payment with a cc over the phone but I was told I could not do the same thing! Before leaving a very expensive piece of my husbands work equipment was stolen from the property and apparently the cameras were not facing in the direction of his truck

Upon arrival the extremely appologetic and helpfull desk clerk explain to us that the room we booked (a deluxe king with fridge and microwave) was unavalible because the owners had left booking open beyond capacity and as a result they were over booked by 12 reservation. The helpful clerk was able to gove us a room that had yet to be assigned but it was a 2 doubles room. We took the room but it was utterly irresponsible for the owners to make such a mistake and then leave the night clerk to deal with the situation totally on his own. Props to that gentlemen for putting up with all that he did that night and try to make the best out of a bad situation

I appreciate the frequent Shenandoah patrol. Management and staff ae wonderful. Its close to everything you want or need, period. connects to a shady, wide, paved walkway all the way to and around Mall. Pavilion, and Market Street

Good location, safe, lots of restaurants and places to shop. She did let me know that they just have bread and pastries for breakfast, no hot breakfast. A bit disappointing but you get what you pay for. For the price its a good spot, room clean, cold ac.

Slept great and was clean. Only issue was they only had waffles and cereal for breakfast. These are not options for people that follow a low carb/keto friendly diet. Would have liked some eggs or fruit option.

I was grateful to be able to check in early. The room was clean & comfortable. I enjoyed having a ROKU TV in the room, I was able to log in to my YouTube account and watch stuff I enjoy rather than channel surfing. The breakfast was a bit disappointing.

Everything is old and moldy, the tub is cracking the lights in the bathroom are blinking. The lamps are all rusty and some don’t even have switches. The blankets have black smears on them and the free breakfast is muffins and coffee…

They give you a discount at Denny’s in the parking lot. I walked over to it and the staff was yelling at each other. I left and walked back to my room and everyone was smoking like it was in Colorado. The hot water was out and elevators were out.

Very courteous staff, I stayed a night for a concert at the pavilion and It was less than a 10 minute drive. I had a great stay, highly recommend for a affordable stay with a free breakfast meal.

So, there was black mold in the shower ceiling. The sheetrock behind the toilet was beat up. Really nice bed. Great breakfast
