Large family room with all you’d need for a two or three day stay. Parking not so great as patrons of the hotel use the spaces, so we had to park in the adjacent shopping centre.

I booked for 5 beds and was initially given a room that could only sleep 4. I was changed over daily promptly however the desk clerk was one the most surly arrogant men I’ve ever dealt with in that position. I also struggled badly with the intense amount of artificial fragrance in the room as did the whole family but I spent any time we did spend in the room with a horrible headache from the smell. When I raised this with the desk clerk and asked if there was anyway to cover up a portable smell such as a plug in or eco mist style dispenser I was told he had nothing to do with it and it’s housekeeping. Which is a fair call but the way the man spoke to me was rude and dismissive of my actual physical concerns regarding the smell. This behaviour wasnt just at me, he was short and dismissive with all other check ins. The bathroom needs a serious scrub. There was no exhaust fan. There was a vent in the wall of the bathroom but the grate kept falling off. The door handle between rooms was a serious concern that it was going to fall off. and lock the kids in the other room! Overall the venue was quiet and beds were clean and enough space for 5 people to stay in.

Pleasant easy stay. Nothing flash but friendly and clean. Had a charging station, which worked well. And a good cafe next door, with excellent coffee. A bit of road noise, but not too bad. The biggest down side is the water pressure for the shower was lacking.

1970’s architecture is quite cool. Rooms have been refreshed in most areas. Mattress was somewhat saggy. Needed to get the broken toaster replaced in the room which was done quickly. Very handy to local shops

Property is not new and some decor reflects this, but the most important areas e.g. bathroom and lot have been updated. 2 bedroom apartment we booked had lots of living space in addition to good sized bedrooms and bathroom, decent kitchen for self-catering simple meals. Would use again if in Canberra area.

Staff were argumentative when I was checking in, website says 10am check in time starts but they argued that it starts at 2pm. Once I advised them I had already called and asked about earlier check in they moved my room and allowed me to check in. The after hours key did not work, neither did the after hours phone number. Very disappointing. If it wasn’t for another guest who had a working key I would’ve been sleeping in my car.

Both nights of our stay we were awoken by an intoxicated group in the car park directly outside our accommodation. There was no onsite staff, no number for security and call to police was required. Left message with message service and still have had no contact. Do not recommend and will never stay there again.

The receptionist at check out was extremely rude, I also was travelling with my partner who has a spinal cord injury and needed certain bathroom items and was told the room would accommodate those needs, they weren’t The place is run down and old and very expensive considering there are no amenities Will not recommend it

Good value for money. There are several room layouts so you can get more or less lucky with room size and amenities. Staff are super helpful and nice. shops next door are convenient but Belconnen is general just suburban, not much in the immediate area.

The location also provided an easy, straightforward and quick exit from Canberra on to the Barton Highway for our 1000km road trip home to South Australia.
