Drury Inn & Suites Birmingham Grandview

It was really nice! Comfy beds, nice amenities! The pool was cool too! Half of it was inside, the other side was outside. Included a breakfast that was delish!

Not like the typical, larger Drury Inns. This is only a 4 story building, so buffet bfast is much more limited than at other larger Drury Inns we have been to. Waffles, biscuits gravy, eggs, sausage patties and that's the end of the hot breakfast items. Room and bathroom is on the small side with low ceilings. Pool/hot tub are small and crowd took over.

Very good stay, especially for the price! Friendly staff, very clean, and great food options. Indoor and outdoor pool a plus. Only downsides are smallish elevators and may be difficult to reach from what can be a very busy adjacent highway. Otherwise, would stay here again.

Room was very clean. Onsite parking with no fees. Staff very friendly with every encounter.

Didn’t feel the cleanest inside

I have stayed at a newer Drury Hotel in Indiana and I had expected a similar experience. I was very shocked to see the smaller sized, rundown lobby where I checked in. It was so small, there was no clear line to the front desk from the other door making it difficult to form a single line. I also had a soccer game to attend during Happy hour but arrived right at 7Pm and it was unfortunately 7:01PM when I requested my complimentary drink, and I was refused. Ok, time limit is a time limit for a reason, no big deal, I also booked the hotel for use of the Jacuzzi. Oh, that's closed too. Now its time to go up to my ragged, tattered old room. Pull back the covers, and there is crusty, dried bodily fluid on the blanket on my bed. That's gross, and I am done with Drury Hotels. I don't know how this one has such a high rating.

Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great. The room smelled like dill pickles, and the drain in the shower was broken.

Everything was clean and well maintained, but the hotel itself felt really dated and the painted brick walls in the hotel rooms made it feel more like dorm room living than a nice hotel. The staff was very helpful and excellent with their service.

Very clean hotel room. Customer service was excellent. During their breakfast and 5:30 dinner, food was great but there was no one cleaning tables as people got up and left. We stayed for two nights and I am pretty sure the hallways were never vacuumed!

Carpet was frayed in our room, needed updating, 1st floor smelled moldy by the pool area.

This hotel could really use some updating, very old and depressing. Beds were not great but room size was big. Pool and hot tub were murky. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Employee at front desk didn’t smile at all but a handyman was super friendly. Won’t stay here again

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was very nice. My room was clean other than the bathroom area which had hair on the floor in several places.

Smallest hotel room we have ever had. We had a hard time finding the hotel.

This is an older building which gives it the feel of being a little unclean. I don't think it was unclean though. It's a safe area. Breakfast was not great but decent. Service was good.

It was an overall average experience. Room was spacious, bed was ok. The bathroom only had one small vanity. The hotel ran out of blankets, which was a problem because basically what they gave us were glorified sheets in the beds. It was just a series of small things: The shower head was really low in shower, one of the receptacles beside the bed didn’t work, iron was broken (which they traded out). Highlights, the staff was very nice and the breakfast was pretty good. We didn’t hate staying there, but definitely were not blown away. The reviews online were really high so we were just disappointed overall.

Amenities were quite outdated. Elevator wait times were longer than expected, especially after one elevator went down on Saturday. Wish TV had been a smart TV as well.

Most comfortable beds!!!

Asked for a quiet room as we arrived late and needed sleep. Was put in the hallway of the foyer area and by the elevator. Plus, the exterior front entry was under our window with a bright light shining all night and you could hear the cars. Cleaning crew was beating and banging by 8 a.m. in room next to us. Besides that, the service, breakfast and room were good. May want to upgrade the tv remotes. Old 1990’s style.

Beds were comfortable, room was clean, bathroom looked great! Yummy breakfast!

We checked in later in the evening and had an issue with the AC in our room but they had no issue moving us to another room quickly. Love the breakfast and soda machine. Our first stay in a Drury but we will Be back !

We have stayed at this particular location at least three times and this was definitely the most positive. The room was perfect, and we would ask for it again - spacious, clean, well lit, etc. You can't ask for more friendly staff than the ones in this location. They aren't condescending; they are honestly friendly and go the mile to make sure you are happy.

This was our first time staying here and it will not be the last. The staff was friendly, everything was clean, and the food was delicious. Absolutely perfect. We especially want to recognize Robin at the front desk. Not only was he friendly but he also was so helpful to us and everyone who was staying there.

Both nights that I stayed in your Hotel, I was very impressed with your associates. I was there on Thursday and was greeted by Maddie and then again on Monday and was greeted by Ayana. Both of them are incredible young women and a great part of your team. Thank you for making my travels so wonderful.

They never received my reservation they could not pull me up on the system!!! I was so mad I gave them the confirmation number I got through my email!!! It was horrible!!!

We experienced a problem with the toilet in our bathroom. When we called the desk, someone came right away to check it out. Since he was not able to fix the problem, we were upgraded to a different room, which was a suite! Great response and awesome customer service!

My review of this property will be long because I would like to share a great experience! This was the first time my husband and I chose to stay at a Drury Hotel. We chose Drury because it was located directly across the street from the hospital where my husband had an early morning doctor's appointment. Due to my husband's health issues, he uses a walker for short distances and a wheelchair for long distances. Since I made a late online reservation, an accessible room was not available. When I arrived to check in I explained to Erilha, who was working at the front desk, that my husband was using a walker and could not walk long distances. Erilha was wonderful! She checked room availability and reassigned us to a room that was close to the elevator. She informed us that we could have drinks and snacks at Kickback. She helped my husband and me choose a table where he could easily sit down and get up. Matt who was supervising the Kickback event welcomed us and informed me about the food that was included on the snack buffet. He was very friendly and made us feel as though we were a part of the Drury Hotel family. Thank you Erilha and Matt for a wonderful welcome. My husband and I will definately return to this Drury Hotel when he has future doctors' appointments, choose Drury Hotels when we take road trips and share our wonderful experience with our family and friends!.

We spent 4 nights here. The first night both elevators were out. Issues happen. We understood. But then it happened again. The manager on duty was rude and aggressive in his responses to questions. My mother had to walk 6 flights of stairs. Called down to the desk when we got to our room as we realized there was no internet or cable. Again, things happen but the response from the person who answered the phone was less than stellar. Very disappointed in the response and reaction from the staff that were there that evening. We will not be staying here again.

Outstanding place to stay which is close to both great eating places, great shopping, and very easy access to interstate.

Convenient location.

Hotel was perfect for our needs! Getting to the hotel was challenging due to Friday traffic. Google gave an alternative route that was unsafe. Weekend traffic was much better. There is an on ramp to the freeway that was blocked off, so you need to go the long way to the freeway which isn’t very long.

We had a good stay here. Being able to walk to Pappadeux restaurant next door was a big plus since we arrived in the evening. Hotel was quiet and staff friendly.

Not much within walking distance. Very busy area to try to drive, but hotel & staff are great.

Great location just off Hwy 280, but far enough away to not hear or see this heavily traveled road. Plenty of parking and outstanding hotel.

The hotel staff were nice and helpful. The evening snack service and the breakfast service were lacking in quality (e.g., freshness, not the proper temperature/texture/consistency) so they were a disappointment. We've stayed in this hotel before, and we likely will do so again.

Nice place for a quick getaway. Everything was as you would expect for price point. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast had the normal options. Only "complaint" I would have is the breakfast space is a little small for a hotel of this size so there was a lot of people crammed into the area. Nothing they could do unless they remodel. Other than that, no other issues. I would stay here again.

Drury is our absolutely most favorite place to stay when we travel. This stay was no exception…awesome staff, beautiful accommodations, comfortable rooms, and happy hour and breakfast were beyond our expectations. Thank you to everyone who took care of us this stay❣️

Have never had a hotel offer such substantial snacks in the evening. It saved us paying for supper elsewhere.
