Margo was incredibly helpful accommodating our family for Labor Day weekend. The house is just beautiful with plenty of space. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked. We enjoyed the canoe with the kids several times. Highly recommend the chateau!

This house is beautiful and very spacey! Great upstairs room for kids and huge master. View was gorgeous and a short way down to the dock. We caught a lot of trout! Boat rental right down the street. Great outdoor spaces for cooking and fellowship. Best stocked kitchen I have ever seen at a vrbo. We will definitely be going back!

Can’t say enough about the place. It’s so nice inside and out. Had so many extras of the basic needs plus additional things to do on the dock. When water isn’t generating you can wade off from the dock as well. Great place and thanks for all the attention to detail.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chateau. It was a very well equipped home with anything you might need in any way. Plenty of space in and out whether you wanted to be together or needed some quiet time for yourself. Having the dock and access to the canoe was also nice. Above all the home was immaculate and the beds were comfortable.

Beautiful home on the Little Red River. We had 4 couples and everyone was very comfortable. All the comforts of home were provided. Fishing right off the private dock was excellent, we brought 2 kayaks and a boat and kept them right at the dock. Would definitely go again

The property was very clean and spacious and was exactly as described on VRBO. I was impressed, among other things, by the vaulted ceilings in living area, and by all of the provided fishing/recreational supplies at the dock. It is the best property we have stayed at over the last 25 years we have been coming to the Little Red River to be with friends/family, while fishing. Thank you so much!!

This was our second Christmas in a row to stay at The Chateau. Last year was a 5-star review and this year’s stay is another 5-star stay. I guess that makes The Chateau a guaranteed 10! You cannot ask for nor expect a better place to stay while visiting the Central Arkansas area. Some details: easily found using the given directions or by plugging the address into your phones mapping app, tons of parking space for family and guests, huge spaces to get together or get away to relax, 2 awesome kitchens, upstairs area is great for kids or teens, wrap-around deck for enjoying the sights and sounds of the river, outdoor fire pits for those that love sitting by a campfire, and a boat dock that you can launch from or just fish and relax. Margo, we will see you guys again! Thanks for making our Christmas a true blessing!

The property was great. Nice location , boat dock was very convenient. The house was clean and spacious. We did have an issue checking in. The doors were locked so we had to contact VRBO because we could not get in touch with the owners. It was an honest mistake but kind of a bummer after 10 hours of travel and groceries in the vehicle. Another suggestion would be for the closets to have some hangers for cloths. The closet was spacious but without hangers so we could not hang anything. A little more shampoo, paper towels, toilet paper would have also been nice. We were there for five nights so we had to go buy some more of these things. Not terrible but it would have been nice. The property was great and convenient for all of us so these minor things would not deter me from renting it again.

We enjoyed our stay at this house. Our host’s communication was excellent and the house was in clean condition when we arrived. We loved the accessibility of the boat doc, which allowed us to get a lot of fishing in, although we probably been more successful if the dam was generating less. The house probably needs a couple of updates. The top oven is not working properly, the sink sprayer has no water pressure, and the TV in the living room is probably on it’s last leg (freezing up, controls not working correctly, etc.).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This home is comfortable, capacious and clean. Owners have thoughtfully provided often-used items and everything was in working order. I would not hesitate to book again, and hope to bring friends and family next time.

Our family of nine really enjoyed the Chateau on the Little Red. Three couples, three kids, ages 7,5,4. All the grown ups enjoyed a king bed, each kid had a bed to themselves. The beds were comfortable, sheets were soft, towels were heavyweight! The open concept family room, kitchen, dining suited our needs just fine. Walk in pantry was great. The master bedroom, bath and closet were enormous! The sitting area there allowed some tired grandparents a little break from some noisy active grandkids! We cooked and ate in for the most part. This was the best equipped kitchen of any rental I’ve ever booked. The second kitchen and living area allowed our grown children some private time away from us. I know they enjoyed several movies in there while we read books. We worked puzzles, played cards and the kids liked the huge checkerboard. Unfortunately, the dam generated all day, every day so the water was high, fast and cold. The boys did locate some shoals down stream where they could wade fish. Everybody that wanted to fish did so and caught at least one fish. The 7 and 5 yr olds were ecstatic!! We hiked the Collins trail and the Bridal Falls. The Collins was a great trail for kids. Bridal Falls was much more of a challenge to get to the bottom, but well worth it! Many thanks to the Germanys for loaning us their home and helping us create some great family memories!

Incredible home spacious and extremely well designed. Master suite, comfortable bed, setting area provided views because of the Hugh windows. Two kitchens, game room, large great room. Kitchen well equipped for family cooking and dining. Any would love this home.

Our second stay here. Would highly recommend. Everything is clean. Beds are comfy. Kitchen has everything needed to cook meals. Owner is super responsive. Caught fish. Can't say enough!

The Chateau on the Little Red River was an amazing spot to view the 2024 eclipse! We spent the day on the river dock. So peaceful. There is a canoe but we weren't sure if we could use it so we left it alone. It was certainly a temptation. The home is positively wonderful. There is plenty of room to spread out and relax. Our group dwindled down to 4 from the original 6 and we were each able to have our own bedrooms which was super nice. And all of our beds were quite comfortable. The master bed has a big Jacuzzi tub for the ultimate in relaxation. We only used the main kitchen and it had everything we needed to cook delicious meals. There is a nice gas grill out back as well. Margo is a super hostess! 5 stars all around. She was so responsive to my questions. She even left us a bottle of wine and eclipse glasses. Thank you Margo for everything!

Great retreat space for our family to cook together, play games, fish, hike and spread out for quiet time. Your kitchen space and equipment is beyond excellent. In our opinion it sleeps 10 comfortably in beds. The two pull out beds upstairs are only single beds and need replacing with something else. Two single murphy beds in the second kitchen/ living area would be great.

This home is beautiful, and Margo was a wonderful host. The house was perfect for a 16th birthday party sleepover. The two kitchens and living areas worked really well to provide the kids and adults with great space. Everything was very comfortable and thoughtful—right down to the sleep machines in the bedrooms. The location on the Little Red made it extra special. Margo was quick to respond all questions and so nice and welcoming.

Chateau on the Little Red was a beautiful and relaxing getaway for our family! The space was amazing; the storage was phenomenal; and the fishing was great! Everyone had a good time and hated to leave!! Communication with Margo was wonderful. We will definitely see if the property is available if we can find a time for us all to get a weekend together again!!

Our second stay here. Would highly recommend. Everything is clean. Beds are comfy. Kitchen has everything needed to cook meals. Owner is super responsive. Caught fish. Can't say enough!

The Chateau on the Little Red River was an amazing spot to view the 2024 eclipse! We spent the day on the river dock. So peaceful. There is a canoe but we weren't sure if we could use it so we left it alone. It was certainly a temptation. The home is positively wonderful. There is plenty of room to spread out and relax. Our group dwindled down to 4 from the original 6 and we were each able to have our own bedrooms which was super nice. And all of our beds were quite comfortable. The master bed has a big Jacuzzi tub for the ultimate in relaxation. We only used the main kitchen and it had everything we needed to cook delicious meals. There is a nice gas grill out back as well. Margo is a super hostess! 5 stars all around. She was so responsive to my questions. She even left us a bottle of wine and eclipse glasses. Thank you Margo for everything!

The property was great. Nice location , boat dock was very convenient. The house was clean and spacious. We did have an issue checking in. The doors were locked so we had to contact VRBO because we could not get in touch with the owners. It was an honest mistake but kind of a bummer after 10 hours of travel and groceries in the vehicle. Another suggestion would be for the closets to have some hangers for cloths. The closet was spacious but without hangers so we could not hang anything. A little more shampoo, paper towels, toilet paper would have also been nice. We were there for five nights so we had to go buy some more of these things. Not terrible but it would have been nice. The property was great and convenient for all of us so these minor things would not deter me from renting it again.

This is a stunning house in a great location. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a ton of space. The hosts are super communicative and even went out of their way to let us know that the Northern Lights were viewable when we were there. The owners clearly take pride in their house and it was a joy to utilize all of the thoughtful amenities.

This house is beautiful and very spacey! Great upstairs room for kids and huge master. View was gorgeous and a short way down to the dock. We caught a lot of trout! Boat rental right down the street. Great outdoor spaces for cooking and fellowship. Best stocked kitchen I have ever seen at a vrbo. We will definitely be going back!

This home had everything we needed! We enjoyed gathering around the fireplace and playing games, sharing stories. The fishing from the dock in the back yard was great! The kitchens are fully stocked and the home decor is beautiful! A great place to relax and get away!

Beautiful home on the Little Red River. We had 4 couples and everyone was very comfortable. All the comforts of home were provided. Fishing right off the private dock was excellent, we brought 2 kayaks and a boat and kept them right at the dock. Would definitely go again

The property was very clean and spacious and was exactly as described on VRBO. I was impressed, among other things, by the vaulted ceilings in living area, and by all of the provided fishing/recreational supplies at the dock. It is the best property we have stayed at over the last 25 years we have been coming to the Little Red River to be with friends/family, while fishing. Thank you so much!!

This was our second Christmas in a row to stay at The Chateau. Last year was a 5-star review and this year’s stay is another 5-star stay. I guess that makes The Chateau a guaranteed 10! You cannot ask for nor expect a better place to stay while visiting the Central Arkansas area. Some details: easily found using the given directions or by plugging the address into your phones mapping app, tons of parking space for family and guests, huge spaces to get together or get away to relax, 2 awesome kitchens, upstairs area is great for kids or teens, wrap-around deck for enjoying the sights and sounds of the river, outdoor fire pits for those that love sitting by a campfire, and a boat dock that you can launch from or just fish and relax. Very very nice house. Lots of room and really clean. We had a great time even though the river didn’t work with us. We came to fish but the dam was releasing every day. Our bad luck with the river didn’t stop us from having a good time. We cooked some good food in the very nice kitchen and enjoyed great friends. Would definitely go back.

Margo was incredibly helpful accommodating our family for Labor Day weekend. The house is just beautiful with plenty of space. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked. We enjoyed the canoe with the kids several times. Highly recommend the chateau!

Incredible home spacious and extremely well designed. Master suite, comfortable bed, setting area provided views because of the Hugh windows. Two kitchens, game room, large great room. Kitchen well equipped for family cooking and dining. Any would love this home.

We had so much fun at this property! It worked perfectly for our family to celebrate our Dad/Granddad/Great Granddad’s 90th birthday! All generations had so much fun! Fishing, canoeing, playing in the front yard, cooking in the well stocked kitchen, grill! The layout was perfect for our family and having the 2 refrigerators was so convenient. We didn’t really use the second kitchen other than the frig- but everything was super nice, clean, and convenient. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!!
