Overall we enjoyed our three night stay, breakfast was very nice, staff very hospitable and friendly. Room was spacious and bar staff were excellent. I would say the hotel could improve on cleaning, bathroom was a little outdated and we found a cockroach in our room. Staff were very quick to help us however and these things happen. Gym could have better equipment and pool area could be better.

This hotel was a lovely hotel, very clean and nice rooms. It was in a great location with easy access to the old town as well as the beaches. The staff were kind and welcoming and the food was nice for breakfast. The Greek are very lovely people who appreciate you being there, which is so nice! The pool was nice and cold which is perfect for the hot weather, and again very clean. Free aircon which I don’t see very often, hairdryer, tv and remote free. There aren’t many Sunbeds so just make sure you go there before 11 if you want to lay by the pool. There wasn’t anyone at the bar very often, we did wait for a drink as we were thirsty sitting by the pool but ended up walking to the shop. Our room was cleaned everyday and towels changed, I have never seen such a clean hotel. The thing that let the rating down is we were unfortunate to have sports teams of girls stay who were very loud until the early hours of the morning and banging on doors. We also had one of them hit the door of our room so hard, it flew wide open. We reported this to reception as we were concerned the rooms weren’t locked properly and if it was to happen again, our belongings could’ve easily been stolen. The response from the man on reception was “oh they’re going soon”, no apology and no reassurance that our door lock was working properly, would’ve like it to have been checked! He seemed very unbothered by this. Unhelpful.

Posizione quasi centrale a chania, non molto paesaggistica ma funzionale. Parcheggio in strada ma facilmente trovabile. Si: comfort ed eleganza, colazione ricca, piscina, gentilezza personale. No: bagno piccolo, doccia senza una parete attaccato a lavandino che non è riparato dagli schizzi. Sapone mani vecchio stile poco ecosostenibile.

Very close to center 5-10 minutes walking. Breakfast is good. Thanks my room is upgraded as it is promised if there is an availability. Only problem is the rooms which looks to the main road is quite loudly during night but ok. Very easy parking.

El hotel está muy bien para su categoría, el colchón es cómodo, el desayuno tiene una buena variedad y calidad, los empleados en recepción son muy amables y serviciales. Como cosas negativas a destacar, el hotel está sobre la vía principal y es muy ruidoso porque siempre hay tráfico a todas horas. Si buscas descansar sin ruido, este no es tu hotel. También, los empleados del desayuno no reponen la comida una vez que se gasta y las habitaciones no las limpian bien. Las empleadas de limpieza son muy amables y serviciales. Parece que esto es un problema de recorte de personal y no culpa de las empleadas.

Fabulous hotel. Very clean and modern. Friendly staff. Everyone was friendly, from the restaurant staff, the front desk staff and the cleaners. Very lovely people. Daily housekeeping. I had new towels everyday of my stay. Nice breakfast buffet. It did not have the widest selection of food but still nice regardless. I loved my room. The bathroom was very modern and gorgeous. Although I did not request a balcony room, I still had a small balcony anyway which was nice. They do provide beach towels for you, but I never used them (I had my own). I can’t comment on the pool because I never used it, but the garden area is lovely and well maintained. Room service was not the best… I tried to order food to my room once and they did not have much food left. Anyway, it’s always better to eat out. Great location. It’s just a seven minute walk to the beach and bus station. Less than a fifteen minute walk to the old town and main seafront area. There was a great supermarket close to the hotel, which was good to pick up a few extra things for my stay. Overall, I loved my stay here. I would recommend and would come back! :D

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very clean and the staff were so attentive - always offering to help with advice or services. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice and constant coffee refills . Great way to start the day. The hotel is in an ideal location around 10 mins walk to the old town. Such a nice walk in too. If you’re driving then the hotel is located not far from the main highway road that goes through all of Crete. Really handy!

L’hôtel Akali est très bien situé pour pouvoir se déplacer sur l’île (proche gare routière) mais aussi pour visiter le centre historique de Chania. Notre chambre était spacieuse, le seul bémol était le balcon donnant sur l’avenue la plus passante de la ville donc énormément de bruit. Cependant avec vue sur la piscine je pense que nous aurions besoin plus apprécié. Le personnel de l’hôtel était très sympathique.
L’hôtel Akali est très bien situé pour pouvoir se déplacer sur l’île (proche gare routière) mais aussi pour visiter le centre historique de Chania. Notre chambre était spacieuse, le seul bémol était le balcon donnant sur l’avenue la plus passante de la ville donc énormément de bruit. Cependant avec vue sur la piscine je pense que nous aurions besoin plus apprécié. Le personnel de l’hôtel était très sympathique.

Small hotel in the city centre. No views, and bathroom a little cramped. The friendliest staff and wonderful service. Value for money about right. Good location. We really enjoyed our stay and the city is fantastic

I booked a Double room, only to walk in and find it was a Twin, no biggie but it was a faff to have to wait in the lobby whilst housekeeping switched it over. Lunch was disappointing and expensive. I travel often and I can say definitively that I have never heard such loud road noise in a hotel room before, it felt like I was sleeping on the pavement and persisted all night. Thankfully the hotel staff were accommodating, eventually moving me to a room on the other side of the hotel, but only after a couple of sleepless nights. I would expect better sound proofing from a hotel of this cost and star rating.

Absolutely beautiful hotel at a very affordable price!! The staff were absolutely lovely, especially the reception team, nothing was too much and they were able to upgrade us and move us to a room overlooking the pool when we asked. They went above and beyond and purchased oat milk for me to have coffee with breakfast as I am vegan. Cannot recommend this hotel enough and if I were to come back to Crete I would not hesitate to stay here again!

This hotel was a lovely hotel, very clean and nice rooms. It was in a great location with easy access to the old town as well as the beaches. The staff were kind and welcoming and the food was nice for breakfast. The Greek are very lovely people who appreciate you being there, which is so nice! The pool was nice and cold which is perfect for the hot weather, and again very clean. Free aircon which I don’t see very often, hairdryer, tv and remote free. There aren’t many Sunbeds so just make sure you go there before 11 if you want to lay by the pool. There wasn’t anyone at the bar very often, we did wait for a drink as we were thirsty sitting by the pool but ended up walking to the shop. Our room was cleaned everyday and towels changed, I have never seen such a clean hotel. The thing that let the rating down is we were unfortunate to have sports teams of girls stay who were very loud until the early hours of the morning and banging on doors. We also had one of them hit the door of our room so hard, it flew wide open. We reported this to reception as we were concerned the rooms weren’t locked properly and if it was to happen again, our belongings could’ve easily been stolen. The response from the man on reception was “oh they’re going soon”, no apology and no reassurance that our door lock was working properly, would’ve like it to have been checked! He seemed very unbothered by this. Unhelpful.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very clean and the staff were so attentive - always offering to help with advice or services. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice and constant coffee refills . Great way to start the day. The hotel is in an ideal location around 10 mins walk to the old town. Such a nice walk in too. If you’re driving then the hotel is located not far from the main highway road that goes through all of Crete. Really handy!

Loved our stay at the Akali Hotel! Beautiful facilities. In a very convenient and walkable area steps away from restaurants and Old Town. Breakfast was excellent. Also had stellar service from front desk staff (particularly Irena who was very helpful for recommendations throughout our stay). Would recommend!

The front desk girl was amazing, she directed us to beautiful areas and nice restaurants. The included breakfast was fantastic and they keep the breakfast open even later than indicated. The staff were great, don’t forget to tip for the great service. It’s a few minutes walking to Chania old port. Beautiful hotel, keep the greatness up.

Fabulous hotel. Very clean and modern. Friendly staff. Everyone was friendly, from the restaurant staff, the front desk staff and the cleaners. Very lovely people. Daily housekeeping. I had new towels everyday of my stay. Nice breakfast buffet. It did not have the widest selection of food but still nice regardless. I loved my room. The bathroom was very modern and gorgeous. Although I did not request a balcony room, I still had a small balcony anyway which was nice. They do provide beach towels for you, but I never used them (I had my own). I can’t comment on the pool because I never used it, but the garden area is lovely and well maintained. Room service was not the best… I tried to order food to my room once and they did not have much food left. Anyway, it’s always better to eat out. Great location. It’s just a seven minute walk to the beach and bus station. Less than a fifteen minute walk to the old town and main seafront area. There was a great supermarket close to the hotel, which was good to pick up a few extra things for my stay. Overall, I loved my stay here. I would recommend and would come back! :D

Very close to center 5-10 minutes walking. Breakfast is good. Thanks my room is upgraded as it is promised if there is an availability. Only problem is the rooms which looks to the main road is quite loudly during night but ok. Very easy parking.

El hotel está muy bien para su categoría, el colchón es cómodo, el desayuno tiene una buena variedad y calidad, los empleados en recepción son muy amables y serviciales. Posizione quasi centrale a chania, non molto paesaggistica ma funzionale. Parcheggio in strada ma facilmente trovabile. Si: comfort ed eleganza, colazione ricca, piscina, gentilezza personale. No: bagno piccolo, doccia senza una parete attaccato a lavandino che non è riparato dagli schizzi. Sapone mani vecchio stile poco ecosostenibile.

We had a great time there . Rena was especially helpful and the whole staff was very friendly . Whatever we needed they were there quickly . The hotel was lovely . There were small things like the lights being on a motion sensor . When we were in the shower the lights turned off . Other than that it was an overall good experience
