Great room and live jazz in the lounge

Check out they have hidden fees called “amenity fee” Even if you don’t use them and they don’t advertise. The hotel is ok but this bad practice just made it not to have a good rating.

They promised a free wine bottle with every booking that I never got. Downstairs smells like sewage. Overpriced.

Hotel is beautiful and at a great location. The amenities are very nice, the lobby and common areas are elegantly decorated and Serafina is conveniently at the hotel (breakfast was fantastic). The fitness room is a good size for Manhattan but it would be better if they supplied cups for water. Guest rooms are comfortable and again, beautifully decorated. The AC was not working properly in my room, so it was a bit of a struggle overnight, but I notified the hotel upon check-out and they were very apologetic and provided great customer service.

Great place…has a European boutique feel to it. Staff is professional and very helpful. Facilities are very clean and well appointed. Gym could use a bit more airflow, but equipment is awesome. Easy 4 block walk to Grand Central.

Overall we had a nice stay. Location is great, room was nice (though under the bed could use a good vacuum), bathroom was modern and I really enjoyed the amount of windows in the room (even one in the bathroom). That being said there are a few things that are big and should be mentioned when booking: -I pre-paid for this stay and even then Expedia usually shows you the amount (if any) that a hotel will charge on site (fees, taxes, etc that weren't precharged). Upon arrival I learned that the hotel would be taking $40 per night for their "resort" fee which is just a sorry excuse for extra intake (no real resort amenities here, they list "benefits" but it's what's advertised to already be included in the stay, like the coffee maker and tea). Upon inspection I found this fee in the very tiny print on the bottom of the listing. Feels a bit deliberate and scheming on my end. $40 doesn't seem like a lot but when you stay 4 nights that's $160. If you're on a budget that could make a difference. Take that how you will. It's especially problematic to me just because it was hidden, especially at the already insane cost of this hotel during the holiday season. -one of the reasons I picked this property was because of it's VIP access designation (which means there is a possibility of a room upgrade). Upon arrival I was told that the upgrade isn't really ever possible as they have very very few rooms that "qualify" to be upgraded into and that doesn't include any of the suites.

Excellent hotel in the heart of the city. Great location. Hotel is great and nicely furnished. Bar area and working area downstairs is cool. Rooms are new and very comfortable. Service is great too.

The location is great, especially for commuting near Grand Central. The hotel staff is very professional and friendly, but your staff appears to be under-staffed. The fitness center is awesome! The complimentary bottle of wine is a nice touch.

Located close to the Morgan Library and Museum and an easy walk from Grand Central Station. The room was clean and everything seemed new. Beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. The staff was friendly. Rooms are small, which is common in NYC.They have an annoying $40 a day "Destination Fee" which they state is to cover things like wi-fi and ability to check your luggage before and after your stay that you would expect to be included and a piano player that is not even there on weekends when we stayed. They provide a "free" bottle of wine.

While the hotel itself was fine- the experience was not. Room was missing hand towels (asked for and didn't get and had to retrieve myself off the cart left in the hall), and empty shampoo and conditioner bottles. Clearly the room cleaning service had not done their job. Room was difficult to control temp (had to open windows or turn off heat as it overheated). Worst was behavior from another guest in the lobby. A couple was allowing their children to run wild in the lobby (racing, yelling, etc). staff did nothing.

Great, welcoming, warm service at the front desk. The property was super clean. Everything fell to very Brand New and luxurious would stay here again.

Great and friendly staff, very helpful and amicable. Hallways need a bit more cleaning but is clean enough.

Wouldn’t recommend paying the extra for that as we would have looked at the same office block on the lower cheaper floors. We were there for five nights and had a cleaning trolly outside our room for three nights that we had to squeeze past. The room smelt of drains for a few nights but maintenance just sprayed some air freshener to mask the smell. The staff were great and the bar area was cozy and our room was clean and comfy.

My go to place in Manhattan Midtown. I've stayed there over 5 times now and I'll go again and again. Very cool boutique vibe, very friendly staff, spotless rooms, nice Serafina restaurant. Always a lovely experience!

Small umbrellas would have been appreciated. There was a lack of coordination between from desk and housekeeping which resulted in our room not being serviced one day. We also had to ask for a bathmat and the shower soap expired before our stay ended.

Really nice property, very pretty, will stay again. Only downside is how small the room was.

Pretty pricey considering our room was insanely tiny and looked out into a dungeon.

Good size room & excellent location, however, the room was dark, the bed was uncomfortable and there wasn’t toiletries such as a shower cap etc, only shower gel & shampoo and conditioner. We also had issues with our room not being cleaned until after 5pm, despite multiple requests all afternoon.

This property was upscale and clean. Rooms were fairly large by Manhattan standards. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The area is quieter than other areas of Midtown. Our room had a sliding frosted glass barn door for the bathroom which is not ideal for privacy though the bathroom itself had a large tub which was nice. The air conditioner struggled to maintain temperatures below 70 even though it was set to the minimum of 68. The hotel is not super close to major subway connections but a couple lines are walkable within 5 to 10 minutes. In summary, a very good hotel with a few small low impact issues.

The location is perfect for all destinations in tri state - Long Island city , Brooklyn , all other parts of city. The rooms are small, but clean and chic, they give a NYC high end tiny apartment vibe. The staff members who changed daily were all amazing, helpful and cool. Do plan to return.

Hotel was beautiful. Staff was fantastic! Our bathroom was ridiculously small. It was very hard to get in and out of the shower of how small the space was. You had to rotate with the door to be able to open and close. Otherwise everything was great.

We stayed in a premium room and I thought the size was very good for NYC and overall very well appointed. Our first night, we were put in a room on the 11th floor and were woken up about every hour to a loud clanging/bang (maybe from pipes?). They allowed us to move rooms the following night to the 7th floor and we slept great and there were no pipe noises. Staff was great and very helpful in accommodating us—especially Kingsley. The location is great for getting around as it is about a 7 minute walk from Grand Central subway. We would stay again!

Won’t stay here again, I am a VIP for Hotels and never received what I was owed. The check in process is very clunky. Nothing like the NH’s in Europe

Service is not good. It takes several hours to have something brought to the room.

Hotel was nice and the decor is modern. Some rooms do not have desks so ask for one with one if you need it to work. Service was well meaning but it is a bit unpolished. Housekeeping kept missing my room for example but came as soon as I asked them to.

Staff were not knowledgeable about their own rooms . I was entitled to a room upgrade if available and person I was with booked same room at same time . I called day prior and asked again while there if the room was in fact a king bed . Told yes both times and it definitely was not . Rude staff , most not helpful would say that a certain department job and then would go back to doing nothing . Stay somewhere else

I like the location and its clean and well maintained. I feel like the staff could be more flexible and nice to their guests. The women on front desk could rude sometimes

Our stay was FABULOUS! From the moment we walked in, Conswella at the front desk welcomed us. She was friendly, kind, helpful, and lovely. While walking to our room, an employee greeted us warmly welcoming us. Grace brought up items we had called down for. She couldn’t have me more friendly. Frederick was at the front desk while we were checking out. He greeted us with a smile, along with the young lady at the front desk. She couldn’t have had a bigger smile on her face. We went out to enjoy our day and came back to get our bags. The young man who retrieved our bags was so willing to be helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone who asks. This was one of our best experiences at a hotel. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a lovely, peaceful, friendly, comfy bed while in New York

The hotel is located between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue so convenient to lots of shops and restaurants. The bathroom was super clean and larger than we expected. I would definitely stay here again.

Best location

There is literally nothing to complain about, but I also did my research prior to booking. I was able to walk to k-town and the garment district very quickly. There’s plenty of food and coffee to walk to. There is also a lot of shopping in walking distance. I did not ever feel unsafe. The hotel was secure, clean, smelled good, and the staff were all very friendly. The lady to check me and mother in was very kind and upgraded our room. There is nothing to complain about. At all. It’s a great hotel. 10/10. 😊

Amazing location!

Great hotel and nicely situated between Rockerfeller Place to the north and Empire State building to the south. Quite neighbourhood one block off 5th avenue.

The hotel is in a great location. The room was a decent size - beds are comfy and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with a good buffet selection as well as a menu to order from. Service is a little hit and miss. Some team members were excellent, others less friendly / helpful. Also found it odd to have disposable cups in the room - not very eco-friendly. No Expedia VIP acknowledgement - no perk / upgrade which was disappointing.

The hotel location was great and the room was nice, very basic. I liked the bathroom a lot. The breakfast was good, although the cleanliness of the restaurant was a bit so and so. The fabric benches are very dirty.

NH collection is a gift that you MUST do to yourself every time you visit a city where they are present. Location was perfect with time square and other midtown hotspots easily reachable by foot in maximum 15 min. Is very well connected with public transport (buses, subway and also ferries). The staff was exquisitely kind and we felt right at home. Our room was perfectly cleaned, very cozy and warm, curated in the minimum details just like the rest of the hotel. The breakfast: the best one we had in our trip with a rich buffet whit high quality food. The cherry on top was the included menu of delicious hot plates (e.g. omelette, French toast, waffles, etc) and great coffee (finally a well done cappuccino and espresso). All in all we had a great stay and would definitely come back. PS: we have not been paid, this is our genuine feedback and we really enjoyed our stay here :)

Only issue was I booked a room with 2 beds and got only 1 bed. Besides that stay was amazing. Jose the bartender was the shining star from the whole visit! His service was 10000/10
