As with some old buildings, not absolutely everything functioned perfectly (for example, doors were a challenge, but we figured them out). Cherie, the innkeeper, is also the chef, and she makes the best of a tiny kitchen. We enjoyed our stay. Recommended!

Charming and in a beautiful location. While the room was small, it had every amenity to be comfortable and opened onto a beautiful porch overlooking the garden. The breakfast was fantastic and the owner could not have been more accommodating or friendly. We loved staying there and will again!

Our first visit to Winston-Salem. We were greeted by Cherie upon arrival. She was fantastic! She showed us our room and showed us the house. She gave us dinner suggestions and we went to a brewery/pub called Foothills- excellent wings and beer! The Inn is very quiet, and clean. The outside sitting area on back of house is comfy and serene. The historic bldgs in that area are quite fascinating to see(all walkable area around the Inn) The BREAKFAST that Cherie made us was absolutely delicious. She served our coffee and our meals to us which was not expected but a great touch :) But the way we just felt like we were at home there, and the conversations we had with Cherie during that brief stay was something you won't find at a hotel. Should we ever come to Winston-Salem again we shall definitely choose the Zevely to stay at again!

Our room was beautiful. Clean and comfy bed . The Innkeeper was very nice and asked about out dietary needs . My granddaughter was gluten and dairy free and Ms. Cherie was very accommodating! The weather was very warm and there was no air-conditioning . There was a small sliding screen and a dyson fan in the room .

Had a wonderful stay. The innkeeper is a delight and immediately puts you at ease and makes you feel right at home. Had an excellent nights sleep, plenty of hot water and water pressure. The homemade hot breakfast the following morning was delicious. Old Salem is wonderful area, full of history and I would highly recommend it and The Zevely Inn.

If you are ready to be pampered in the most lovely, historic setting then the Zevely Inn is for you! Our room was cozy and the made-from-stratch breakfasts served by the innkeeper absolutely delicious! And she was delightful, so welcoming and full of stories, but still giving us privacy to soak in every morsel of Old Salem charm in the home owned by Dr. Zevely. We're going back as soon as possible!

The Summer Kitchen room was lovely & spacious, and Sherry was a wonderful Innkeeper, serving up delicious hot breakfasts & great restaurant recommendations! We will definitely be back!

This bed and breakfast is located in the heart of Old Salem. The inn is in a 150 year old home and is very charming. My wife and I enjoyed a nice romantic weekend getaway here. The inn host was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. The complimentary breakfast was very good. There’s a lot of nearby historic sites to view, and some really good restaurants located very close by. I highly recommend staying at the Zevely Inn.

We stayed the week before Christmas in a lovely room with fireplace. The house exuded holiday charm and history. Breakfast is beautifully presented and excellent. Our bed was comfortable. We had chairs to relax by the fire. While the bathroom was tiny, it was functional with enough space to put toiletries plus multiple hooks and towel bars. The inn is in the old Salem village so you are surrounded with history. The innkeeper,Cherie,will guide you to excellent restaurants and attractions in the area. We highly recommend this inn.

It seems that the proprietor didn’t believe much in trying to be friendly or give reasonable service. She conveyed a relentless attitude of doing my wife a terrific favor in allowing her to stay as a (paying) guest. Won’t stay there again!

We had an outstanding stay at a Historic Inn (c. 1744). Inn Keeper Cherie was most helpful and a delightful hostess. Breakfast was outstanding. Located in Historic Old Salem. We will definitely return when we have more time to tour the Old Salem community and to become more schooled in the Moravian culture.

Our first visit to Winston-Salem. We were greeted by Cherie upon arrival. She was fantastic! She showed us our room and showed us the house. She gave us dinner suggestions and we went to a brewery/pub called Foothills- excellent wings and beer! The Inn is very quiet, and clean. The outside sitting area on back of house is comfy and serene. The historic bldgs in that area are quite fascinating to see(all walkable area around the Inn) The BREAKFAST that Cherie made us was absolutely delicious. She served our coffee and our meals to us which was not expected but a great touch :) But the way we just felt like we were at home there, and the conversations we had with Cherie during that brief stay was something you won't find at a hotel. Should we ever come to Winston-Salem again we shall definitely choose the Zevely to stay at again!

This bed and breakfast is located in the heart of Old Salem. The inn is in a 150 year old home and is very charming. My wife and I enjoyed a nice romantic weekend getaway here. The inn host was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. The complimentary breakfast was very good. We stayed the week before Christmas in a lovely room with fireplace. The house exuded holiday charm and history. Breakfast is beautifully presented and excellent. Our bed was comfortable. We had chairs to relax by the fire. While the bathroom was tiny, it was functional with enough space to put toiletries plus multiple hooks and towel bars. We had an outstanding stay at a Historic Inn (c. 1744). Inn Keeper Cherie was most helpful and a delightful hostess. Breakfast was outstanding. Located in Historic Old Salem. We will definitely return when we have more time to tour the Old Salem community and to become more schooled in the Moravian culture.

Our room was beautiful. Clean and comfy bed . The Innkeeper was very nice and asked about out dietary needs . My granddaughter was gluten and dairy free and Ms. Cherie was very accommodating! The weather was very warm and there was no air-conditioning . There was a small sliding screen and a dyson fan in the room .

Had a wonderful stay. The innkeeper is a delight and immediately puts you at ease and makes you feel right at home. Had an excellent nights sleep, plenty of hot water and water pressure. The homemade hot breakfast the following morning was delicious. Old Salem is wonderful area, full of history and I would highly recommend it and The Zevely Inn.

The residents in Old Salem are kind and friendly. Sherrie Gordon the manager made our stay unforgettable! We were sitting at breakfast together and telling stories like we had known each other for years. Would definitely return here, especially if Sherrie is still managing the place!
