Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham College Station

The parking was limited.

Pool was shut, we would have found somewhere else to stay if we would have known. We also got charged twice.

The overall stay was good and the hotel is nice. However, our daughter cut her foot on a large piece of glass at the bottom of the pool. It was a significantly large piece of glass and we had to wrap her toe and foot from the cut she got swimming and took pictures of the glass and injury but the review app wont let us upload them for some reason, we were simply told they had been recieveing complaints about glass in the pool yet still let children swim in it.

The hotel is getting remodeled so parking was limited .

Staff was friendly and very helpful parking was a bit congested but overall a great place

This experience was amazing! the hotel was clean and they left more than enough toiletries everyday. There were a few lights bulbs out that i needed to ask for new ones. Also not the Outdoor pool is on the NorthEast side of the hotel, and therefore in the shade, which makes the water cold quickly. The Breakfast is amazing. There is plenty of parking. They have a Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby.

The hotel is being remodeled. So it was a little inconvenient parking. Bed was very comfortable. Everything is decorated in A&M which was special.

Very outdated. Not clean, nothing works. Business center is “out of service”. Was told owner was onsite, however, wasn’t contacted after requested.

We have stayed here a few times when in CS for a 7on7 tournament. It's convenient, safe, and clean. They are pet friendly, which is BIG for us!

Came down for one night with my son to visit the local college. Booked here because of location, suite style and pet friendly. We have a small dog. No where on the website did it say there was a pet charge. Yet I was charged a fee+tax. Location is great and all the staff was extremely nice. The hotel is just run down. The suite room… couch was so disgusting and worn my kids refused to even sit on it. The coffee maker didn’t work, fridge looked beat up. I don’t think my sheets were fresh because they were extremely wrinkled. Bathtub was extremely worn. Patches in ceiling etc… wasn’t awful but wasn’t great. The main concern I had was our room was last one on the hall right next to an exit door to the outside. I took my pup out to potty and noticed the door doesn’t lock! I tried multiple times to close to lock and it doesn’t. It just pushes open. I called the front desk and let them know. I felt extremely unsafe ALL NIGHT LONG. They were supposed to send someone to fix it but it was never fixed. Pretty sure it’s broken. Extreme safety issues. Breakfast was decent with eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles etc. Only way I would stay here again is if the price was too good to pass up and I was on a hall with a locking door to the outside.

The shower tub combo wouldn’t direct all the water to the shower so it was minimal and small. Best option at the time for the money for game night but still expensive overall.

It would have been nice to have been notified before booking that this property was under construction. The downstairs areas and elevator were obviously being used often for construction on the second floor. The room itself was updated and looked nice at first glance but there was hair on the bathroom floor and at the sides of the beds. Breakfast was lacking with only a couple of choices. The staff was nowhere to be found for check in until we finally yelled down the hall, and the breakfast staff was rude.

Super clean. The front desk clerk, Shreya (I hope I spelled that right) was super friendly but perfectly professional.. she was spunky with an amazing attitude, way about herself. The room was perfect. I didn't see a speck of dirt. I used to clean rooms so I look for things most ppl wouldn't notice. Reserved through Expedia, great rate at just over $300 for 3 nights... Smooth checking with the online pre- check in option. 10/10 recommend!

Sheets had not been changed out. My sheets had vomit on them.

For the most part, the hotel was ok. The bathroom floor was a little dirty, hair on the floor, stains on the bedding (maybe from the washer or dryer, it looked like grease), dried strawberry in the elevator all 3 days I was there. The free breakfast was nice and the staff was so nice.

There soap dispenser in the bath was out of soap and the bar of soap was open with hair on it. There was empty toilet paper roll in the bathroom. The TV was stuck on one channel and one of the washcloths was stained. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable.

The room looked clean but the floor needed sweeping and there were 4 dirty plates-with the food still on them-in the drawer. We of course didn't use them or wash them.

Easy check in, super clean, neat room

Could have been great but beds weren't fixed at all. Small roaches were crawling on headboard. SO much noise coming from all over, specifically above us hours past midnight. Couldn't sleep. Pull out bed was practically sleeping on the bare springs. Friendly staff at front desk for sure. Towels were replenished daily. Hot beverages at lobby and breakfast were good.

I am extremely disappointed in our room. It smells like a men’s locker room. The furniture is old outdated, and stained with what looks like urine. They changed us to another room, however, it still smells like mold, and still looks uncleanly.

The price point was fair. Facility is tired-needs paint/carpet refresh. Staff friendly. Functional for the price. Neighbors plumbing very noisy.

older property that has been renovated. The air conditioning was very loud. the pull out couch mattress was stiff and uncomfortable. Had to call front desk one night due to loud neighbors banging on the door, wall, slamming doors, yelling and running in hallway late at night - after 11PM; staff were very nice, breakfast food was good.

AC would not get cold enough and shower head was broken.

Somewhat outdated. Tv remote controls didn’t work. Hole in the bathtub that had been unsuccessfully repaired.

I was pleasantly surprised for the price. Full kitchen, bathroom looks like it has been recently renovated, very spacious. I would most definitely stay at The Hawthorn again in the future.

All was great except the shower needs to be replaced.

Very comfortable stay. We liked the layout, as we required a full-size fridge & kitchen with cooking capability. Bathroom was spacious w good shower water flow, & beds were comfy. Room & facility were clean; breakfast was very good- gotta love those Texas-shaped waffles! Really enjoyed the atmosphere of friendliness & helpfulness along the staff. Brandie Lewis (manager?) was wonderful; both Crystal (housekeeping) & Brenda were also supportive & friendly- they obviously take pride in their hotel & their work. First time to stay here (friend’s wedding), as it’s always booked way ahead for Texas A&M events & football weekends, but we’d stay again.

Property was clean, staff was friendly, and the bed was comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the AC unit was too noisy. If turned off the room became very humid so I had to keep it running.

The room was definitely not as pictured. The overall cleanliness of the room was extremely poor. Many stains and a large tear on the couch. Mattress on the pull out sofa was very uncomfortable and made sleeping almost impossible.

Very nice hotel, awesome staff, and comfy beds. Gentleman that worked the front desk was super nice and had great recommendations for dining in the area. We just had a light problem in the bathroom, but it was fixed immediately.

Empty lobby. 25 min to check in bc of some snafu bc I booked thru Expedia. Frustrating wait after a 4 hour drive. Maybe she was new but should’ve given me key to room Vs making we wait.

Great place to stay. Has definitely become our go to destination for College Station. Every single member of the hotel staff so was welcoming and helpful. We look forward to returning.

Staff extremely courteous and professional. Maintenance was needed for plumbing services and there within 5 min. He was outstanding in his service.

I had to extend my stay a few times due to unforeseen circumstances but everyone was friendly and helpful each time. I would highly recommend staying here.

Very nice people at front desk, speedy check in, some renovations going on but not bad at all. Overall very pleased.

The front desk clerk (Keon) was nothing short of amazing. He accommodated us in every way. He changed our room because of issues with the shower. He was always pleasant and very helpful. The room was average and as expected for the rating. But his disposition made the stay and trip enjoyable.

Brandi, the manager, went out of her way to bring me Advil, water, and a care package with soup, crackers, extra Advil, and EmergenC packets when I got sick and wasn’t able to leave my room. I don’t know what I would’ve done without her!

staff charged for the room after being told it was paid for through hotels.com. They assured us the only charge was going to be a $10 hold-staff charged $464 to our card. 4 days later and we are still trying to get our money back. Hotel manager wrote an email apologizing for the error and assuring us she would fix. Nope-still waiting.

We travel to College Station at least twice a year for soccer tournaments. We prefer to stay at properties with full kitchens for obvious reasons. Due to the extreme heat temps in the area the State Cup tournament officials released a statement that all schedules were going to be updated to accommodate earlier times to prevent excessive heat exposure. Our game was to end about 2-2:215pm so I called the hotel and spoke with a gentleman at the front desk and asked if it would be possible to check in 45 minutes earlier or so and he understood and said it shouldn't be a problem because the rooms are usually ready an hour before but to call as we are heading that way on the day of. I do so and the woman that answered the phone was so rude and cut me off saying "there's a $75 early check in fee" I explained to her my converstation with her colleague earlier in the week and she didn't care. All I wanted was to check in 30-45 min earlier so my son could cool off and shower- how was $75 for less than 1 hour justified?! I still proceed to the hotel and upon checking in she is not friendly, dry and snippy. I sit down in the lobby to wait for 40 min for a room that's probably ready when another staff member approaches me in a very friendly manner and tells me my room is ready. I hear her tell the other woman that if the room is ready and guests check in within the hour it is okay to check them in. I won't be staying here again.

When I first arrived, the property looked nice from the outside, but I was unaware of the extensive construction happening. At check-in, I was informed that the water would be off from 2 PM to 7 PM. While I understand this might have been out of their control, it seemed to be a daily occurrence due to renovations on the second floor. A notice about this in advance would have been helpful, especially since I had three children with me. When the water was finally restored, the toilet in our room began leaking significantly from the base every time it was flushed. We had to use most of our towels to manage the mess. Additionally, our room was at the end of the building near a side entrance that was not secured, allowing anyone to enter the building at any time. To make matters worse, a restaurant or bar next door played loud music all night, which lasted until around 2 AM. Just as I finally started to get some sleep, a woman stood outside my window screaming and cursing on her phone. Later, when I went into the "kitchen area" and turned on the light, I found two roaches crawling on my belongings. At this point, I was completely disgusted. I don’t usually write negative reviews, but this experience left me no choice. After discussing it with friends, they agreed it was the right thing to do. I wish we could have left that night, but we had nowhere else to go, and the room was non-refundable. I would not recommend staying here under any circumstances.

It was a comfortable stay. Hotel was in a good location with plenty of restaurants/ stores to choose from.

Convenient to TAMU. Hotel sits back from roadway, so it is quiet. Breakfast buffet has everything you need, but the layout is awkward. You have to look for utensils, condiments, etc, but it is all there.

In for Texas A&M great spot for access to everything

Breakfast was not good, one day will have biscuit and eggs, no protein, on next day will have protein (burger patty) and no biscuit. One of the days there was no milk and we had to wait for 35min to get milk. Shower are wasn't clean enough...had hair on the walls and never got cleaned, although we informed them.

Stay here to attend an Aggie games. Hotel is comfortable, breakfast was good.

The hotel was under construction. Room was okay. Breakfast was horrible. I wouldn't return. Too many better options for the same price.

His place is under construction they did not have everything everything for breakfast highly disappointed in his place

Came for the games Texas and the hotel breakfast was amazing

Staff was great. Loved the 2 room suite. We got a great deal on the room for 2 nights during an ice storm. The breakfast was awful, but we brought our own & the room had a microwave & refrigerator.

The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and respectful. The breakfast was not outstanding or unique. It was no better than nor as good as any other mediocre hotel. I did expect a better offering for breakfast, not powdered eggs nor dry creamer for coffee.

If you are going to stay here so you can cook your own meals in the rooms with stove and refrigerator, you will need to furnish everything yourself. They dont have pots, pans, dinnerware or silverware. Their fitness center has 1 treadmill that was out of order and there was no disinfectant to wipe down the equipment before and after. Not sure how often it gets cleaned. Breakfast was your basic usual hotel breakfast, but very limited. Not worth the money you paid. This was my first and last time at a Hawthorne Ext. Stay
