The hotel is old and in need of repairs/maintenance/cleaning. The closet had dead crickets and a gecko. There was not a coffee maker in the room (although the receptionist said there should have been). The swimming pool was dark green.

Upon arriving one of the white towels hanging had a Red blotch of some sort that was pretty disgusting. We went to try to get a morning swim and the pool was completely full of algae. When I went to tell front desk about the pool the guy said Oh yes the pool is completely closed but doesnt have a sign. They really should not advertise a swimming pool if it is inoperable. I will never go back to this hotel, it is more of a motel.

Parking is a bit tricky here and there is no more breakfast here / sucks but other than that very nice place. For the price

Not much parking available renovations going on that we were not aware of so construction takes up parking. Phones don’t work or the number to the office.

I was really happy with overall. Front desk and staff very nice. Room cozy, clean and comfy. Was a little disappointed that pool was not open it was one of the reason I opted for this hotel. It should be posted whether or not it is open

No free breakfast as offered. No housekeeping services, ice machine broken, no ice bucket in the room, no toiletries in the room, no smoke detector in room, little coffee maker but no coffee to use in it, vehicle with alarm went off every few minutes and every time someone shut a room door or a car door while we attempted to sleep.

Everything was run down terribly. Pool was literally green with algae. Air conditioning did not adjust so to turn on or off I had to unplug from wall.

My first room was disgusting duty no clean sheets I found socks on the bed trash under the bed cockroaches all over the room I notified the front desk they moved me to another room and it was in the same condition with cockroaches all over the room unfortunately it was to late to find out other hotel close to the university

Let’s didn’t work multiple times, room had cracks in plaster, bathtub had mold growing.

I have nothing good to say about this property. The bed linens were dirty, the bed skirt had cigarette burns and a crusty substance in multiple place, there was hair on the bed, the non-smoking room had been smoked in, everything was sticky, dead bugs in the wall, blood spots on the door frame, and it is an active construction site with detritus all over the property.

Shampoo was empty and they wouldn’t bring a new bottle, the fire alarm went off for an hour at 6am and there was mold in the bathroom everywhere with giant chunks of paint peeling.

Found multiple bugs on my bed.

Exterior was dirty and run down. Lawn was not maintained. Lobby smells bad. Garbage bags are piled up outside our door. Room was older but acceptable. Pictures on website must have been 20 years old.

It was a game day weekend so limited availability for places to stay. This inn had availability so we got a room. The bathroom had pee spots on the floor and the toilet seat hadn’t been cleaned, obviously. The room generally looked like it hadn’t been cleaned outside of the beds being made. The whole place needs an overhaul cosmetically, but we can look past that if the grounds and rooms were kept clean. We thought about staying elsewhere but there weren’t any other options. We almost slept in the car in the parking lot since we didn’t feel comfortable with how sanitary the room was. Don’t recommend.

This is by far the worst “hotel” I have ever stayed in. It was so humid inside from water damage my girlfriend’s hair tripled in size by the time we left. The sheets were so itchy we thought there were bed bugs, the towels smelled, the whole place just had a terrible odor like a wet dog. We couldn’t wait to get out of there 10/10 would not recommend.

We had them rekeyed 3 times and still had to be let i. our room every single time with one exception of the key working. The TV didn’t work properly neither did the air/heater. Not a very clean room either.

Well, I should have read the other reviews. While the location is good, the property, rooms, parking etc are in very poor shape. Our first AC didnt work and we had to be moved to a second room. Staff was cordial but there are limits to what can be done with a property that looks like it hasnt been updated since 1975. The overgrown trees make parking difficult unless you enjoy branches scrathing your doors and roof of your car. All in all, this should be your last option in the area.

TL;DR: classic American motel style accommodation, good option for the price and proximity to the A&M campus, clean room, I would stay again. Stayed one night on second floor near to reception. Read the doomsday reviews only after booking but *everything was totally fine* (almost—see below). Room and sheets very clean. AC, fridge, and flatscreen TV all worked well. After reading other reviews we scrupulously checked for bed-bugs or other problems and there were none. Slept well. Shower worked after some effort, water lukewarm but it was 100 degrees so that was nice, but maybe not great if same in winter. Other guests seemed normal—had Teslas etc. Night was very quiet, felt fully safe. Didn't use the pool but looked ok. Some of the outside areas a bit tired but nothing dramatic. Parking right out front and had trees so the car stayed shaded :) Denny's directly next-door, very convenient. Staff nice but check-in really weird. Partner was told that they were fully booked because of a 'convention' but place looked half empty. I booked on Expedia and then miraculously they had rooms after all. Receptionist tried to charge my card despite already paying online, first said it was for incidentals then for room itself. I think she just didn't know how to use the system rather than trying to scam but still, double check. She warned me about other guests being 'not good people' but they were fine! Still not sure what all that was about but strange start to otherwise good stay!

It was like an old motel six. It wasn’t like a real La Quinta. The air conditioners didn’t work. The bathtub was clean but old and ugly. When you flush the toilet, it sounded like an alien in a movie screaming at you. The carpet wasn’t very clean or vacuumed well. The lights were rickety the stairs banisters going down outside or falling apart.

The shower was awful, sprayed all over. The tv didn’t work the 2nd night. We had to go get a new card because ours wouldn’t work the 2nd day. We had 4 people and only 2 towels. There were people making noise all hours of the night. Definitely should be cheaper nightly for those conditions.

It’s an old property, felt and smelled like an old property, musty. Felt crowded, small room, very small bathroom. Not sure the mini-fridge worked. It was ok for one night, and we were tired, so it checked that one box. It did have soft water, so that is a plus. Had exterior doors, like an old motel, safety is always a concern. Area seemed shady, but it’s in the middle of College Station, so maybe not too dangerous. Some of the other units had mold around the exterior a/c units. I would not book here again.

We killed 2 roaches while there. Also the TV wouldn’t work. Asked for assistance 3x and never received help with reprogramming it. The location was convenient to the university but we will not be staying there again.

Lights in room were loose and blinked. No hot water in the AM.

This is a terribly run down property; gross by any estimation. So bad in fact, we left to find other accommodations. We should receive a refund to be honest. The staff was kind enough and apologetic, but there was no housekeeping available. The room was not clean. There was trash all over the property.

Cancelled on us- hung up on me 3 times. Expedia was no help in refunding until the 6th phone call!

Booked hotel a month before. Checked in online prior to arrival on check in date. Arrived at hotel only to be told my reservation is canceled because the hotel is overbooked and there are no available rooms and even reservations made 2 months ago were canceled. I should have known something was up when I arrived the lobby was locked with signs on the doors that said they were full. I had to wait for the front desk staff to open door. Will not be making any reservations at any La Quinta hotels moving forward. Very disappointed.

The host cancelled my reservation at 8pm on the day of my check in and said they are sold out as we were driving to the property. I called twice and asked for manager and she hung up on me and refuse to honor the booking. She gave up my room to higher bid. Terrible practice and should be investigated

We couldn't stay. The manager nicely showed us 3 rooms and they all smelled like smoke, including the lobby. We went elsewhere. What got interesting was the next day we asked hotels.com for a refund. This hotel had to confirm that we never stayed there. The hotel never picked up the multiple phone calls from hotels.com, therefore I couldn't be refunded. I literally went over there and watched him ignore the call as I was sitting in the parking lot. I went in and asked why he wasn't answering. (He had answered my call, same number, why wasn't he answering theirs?) I had hotels.com on the phone and they stated they couldn't talk to him from my phone (I understand). I remained calm and professional the whole time but it was quite obvious I had him flustered. He never answered any calls even after the interaction. Hotels.com was nice enough to give me the refund anyways considering everything I had been through to try to get this refund back. The hotel is overall in rough shape. I'm assuming they just didn't want to give me the refund because they needed the money. My advice is to stay away!! What a circus.

The property looks like abandon it looks like it has leafs from last winter. The african American lady always treats customers rudely she looks like she does not have customer service. She looks like a aggie student and still it seems like she doesn’t have social skills or doesn’t know how to communicate with people. The property needs a little cleaning in the outside because it looks like the building across the street that it looks abandon and it looks like it going through remodeling or demolish and makes the denny’s restaurant look like its not safe place it looks like a person may come out or its a place where people are going to do drug deals

It was horrible. They found dirty towels behind the door in our restroom. Our beds will look like they were made by the people that was staying in that room. Don’t know if it was clean before we even got the room. The water was clogged up in the shower and the sink And asked for more towels they told us that we had to hold onto the ones we had because there was hardly any towels

Hotel was moldy from the lobby to the rooms. I had to cancel and they still chaeged me for a no show

Older property that could use a facelift. However, the room was clean and the shower was powerful. The location seems a little sketchy but it is just across from campus and lots of students living nearby. Best of all, the price was right even on a game weekend.

We were put in the building across the street and off the main road. It was surrounded by vacant buildings and felt scary. The balcony leading to our room was leaning and didn't be safe. It is a good location to the university but hasn't been updated in 50 years. The toilet had a hard time flushing, the sink drained slowly, and the shower also drained very slowly.

The location is great because it’s right next to the A&M campus, but it is an old motel and there’s a lot of remodeling going on. It was not a really nice place but for the age and the type of motel it was clean, but I don’t like carpeting and smelled strange. The bedding was clean and the shower was clean. I was only there one night for the game. During the game time you pay about 300 a night so not worth it but at the same time it was safe and I didn’t feel like it was gross. I would stay there again if I didn’t get a hotel earlier in the year. There’s not a lot of options last minute. They also allowed my dog to come with me with a $10 pet deposit. All in all a decent place mostly because of the location and friendly owners. Pool was clean and outside my room.

Was here for a work trip at the collage and the commute was great.

Overbooked rooms. Many people with reservations finding out they have no rooms after the game. If you need more than one room, know that you can find yourself with rooms on both sides of the street with the same reservation number. Maintenance has not been kept up with and our bathroom was dirty and the bathtub was stained. Prime location is all this place has going for it.

Hotel is old and has not been maintained well. Room was generally clean and beds were comfortable, but minor things in the room were broken/torn. Complimentary breakfast was better than others we experienced on our trip. Will not stay there again. Close to the Texas A&M campus, which was our reason for visiting.

Bath tub water drain was not working properly. Continental breakfast was really bad. Waffle batter ran out quickly multiple times even when were there early.

Yes, the area was well kept and nice when first walked in. Good clean smell to the room, appliances was clean and ready for use. Close to everything and the breakfast is emgood and early, a good selection. Good place.

You decide: peeling paint on handrails (2 layers, blue and yellow), shower valve stuck (shower only), black stains on the carpets, 2 towels for 4 adults (no more available), barely enough food for breakfast with no front desk attendant, some lamps didn't work, beds seem fine (only double beds and kings, no queens), linens clean, convenient location, not a great neighborhood.

We had a terrible experience at this location. People smoking marihuana on the exterior halls, tv didn’t work, toilet didn’t work. Humidity problem in bedrooms, it said “Continental Breakfast” and their waffle machine was empty every single morning, the same bread was on their counter top all the week. When we ask for more mix for waffles the person said it wasn’t her business. They didn’t change towels in the whole week.
