Small boutique hotel surrounded by many dining options all walkable! It has an older vibe but sophisticated. The boutique in the main lobby has cute fashion and game day accessories - fun to shop! Parking was tricky as it was hard to find a space available at times even for guests ! Outlet next to beds were broken which

Great Hotel. Room is very nice and comfortable bed. Love decor. Pool Great. In the middle of a Plaza to walk or ride bikes. Restaurants also in walking Plaza. Just keep in mind if the Days for hours of Business. Also the Pool closes at 9. We will be back 😊❤️

My first time staying at The George hotel was very nice!! Beautiful scenery and great atmosphere!! Really cozy vibes and friendly workers. Bed was very comfortable. Pool area was nice and clean and definitely a nice, relaxing vibe!! Loved it. The pillows were a little too soft for my liking, but that's just a personal preference. I loved the shower, but it was very slippery and it didn't have any shower handles for you to hold on to. A bath mat would have been nice.

Only one elevator was working. Self parking was not available on ground floor. Terrible smell pumped throughout hotel. Room was nice and blackout curtains were great. I would not stay here again solely based on parking situation. Vallet was available- but we were coming and going throughout the day for new student conference.

This property is an upscale 169 room hotel just on the other side of the road to Texas A&M college. It is approx 3/4 mile to kyle field ( completely walkable). The hotel has alot to offer adults, kids, families and those that need assistance. There are several shopping a food choices close by. Mess or the craperie for breakfast, lunch dinner there is a tex mex, burger with a full bar, Irish ub, World of beer, well there are at least 15 more options with a 1/4 mile. The room was amazing with room dark curtains, shower was made for two and the shampoo, conditioner, etc was great for my curlly thick hair. The only issue is parking. There isn't any. You have to Valet and I HATE To valet my car. Thankfully we were visiting our son (sophmore Aggie) and his apartment had parking.

It is nice to be able to walk to dining and shopping easily. Note: Someone had thrown up in the hallway on our floor and it smelled for days(and you could see it in the carpet that is getting a bit worn).

The George is in the heart of college station right next to campus and in a walkable Mixed use property with lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel is great with a great vibe and great staff The 4 stars is because our room was really musty with an unpleasant odor. The rest of the hotel and corridor space was wonderful

Kind of like a Motel 6 with lipstick. The property looks good. Excellent decor, good location. Room keys didn’t work. Had to return to the front desk before check in. Room looked good, as long as you didn’t look too close. Semen stain on the chair was obvious and nasty. No onsite food, but there is a well-appointed in-room mini bar. Coffee maker was “icky,” but was available at the lobby bar top. Would’ve preferred not to leave my room for coffee. Most impressive was valet. The guys worked hard and were very attentive. Oh. And someone had stolen the iron and it hadn’t been replaced. Had to request one. Better, much less expensive, better value for the money options in College Station.

The hotel needs a dehumidifiers. We stayed here for a baseball tournament and head to use the hair dryer to dry my son’s glove and hat. Even the beds are damp.

Only complaint is that the room was quite loud into the evening - the bar area echos up through the courtyard. Staff excellent, location nice, and rooms clean and nice.

Beautiful place, great location. Loved the sheep that move around the property. The rooms have some great features. Didn't love the lighting - dramatic, but dark. And the water pressure was unusually low. Rectangular property with elevators on one far end meant we had to walk, and walk, and walk to get to the room.

The hotel was lovely and the decor is top notch! The flag made out of books in the lobby is amazing. Unfortunately, the walls are paper thin, and you can hear noise from other rooms all night; the rooms are also somewhat small for a "luxury hotel". There are no towel bars to put wet towels up in the bathroom. As a luxury hotel, it's not really on par with The Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. It's very nice and there are so many walkable eating and shopping options. The staff is by far one of the best aspects of this hotel. From the valets to the front desk staff, they are consummate professionals and very pleasant to work with!

Inside the hotel lobby is very nice. The rooms are great as well; however, if you are booking "doubles" instead of king - just be aware that they are indeed double size beds. Very small to fit 2 grown adults in that aren't spooning all night. I went with 3 grown children and it was difficult for us to get comfortable. No rollaway beds available when we called to ask. And if you are visiting as an away team playing the Aggies - don't expect anyone to be friendly. :)

The property is wonderful and easy to get to amenities around college Station. However, their television service was down the entire stay in all of the rooms but available in the bar and at the property next-door. It was troublesome that they couldn’t get it fixed and had no workaround at such a high end property.

This is a beautiful property and it is in a great location. I wasn’t blown away by the guest services staff though. The front desk person was not very welcoming - not rude just sort of blah. Valet did not offer to unload our bags or take luggage to the room. Maybe no one does that any more? When we left we had to load our own luggage and the bellman did not say thank you for his tip or offer to help. To me this is a training issue. Enthusiastic and friendly staff make a huge difference to a hotel experience. Our room was right over the Porter restaurant and the grease truck came around 7 am or earlier. A lot of banging and loud noises which made it hard to fall asleep at night and then couldn’t sleep in. When going up in the elevator I heard someone else say they were glad not to be on the second floor because of a similar experience. Not sure what can be done about that. There was no regular coffee in the room only tea and decaf coffee which seemed odd. I did love the unique decor and the bed was amazingly comfortable. I don’t like to give a bad review but maybe a little training for guest services staff and attention to detail would make the experience for someone else amazing.

Nice concept. Had major issues with coffee maker not working; was left a new one which wasn’t even switched out with the old one. New coffee maker didn’t work either; both spewed coffee grinds all over and in the coffee cup (we have a Kcup at home and know how to use one). Maybe the coffee pods provides weren’t the right size/kind? Called and asked to speak to a manager in which we were told there wasn’t one available. We fully expected one to call us about the situation and remedy it. Still no one has contacted us. There also wasn’t any body wash in our shower upon arrival. For a ‘luxury’ stay, we expected much more. We travel weekly and stay at many hotels. This hotel was highly recommended by someone, so we were very disappointed overall.

Checking into the hotel for the first time I had no idea where to park or where the elevator was. I had no problem finding elevator however, I thought it was a service elevator at first. The staff did not say elevators right behind you and we have a coffee bar between these hours. After two nights and on my way out I saw the coffee. That would have been good to know since I had to make a stop the prior morning before and A&M school event to grab a coffee when it was right in the lobby. For the nightly cost of hotel I would have thought the staff would have been more helpful. Also, I stopped at front desk the same morning I of school event and asked if cleaning staff would give me fresh towels and removed charcuterie board from the night before. I said no need to clean please removed dirty dishes and bring fresh towels. When I returned later that night the food and dirty dishes were still on the coffee table. Very disappointed since I had heard it was a very nice hotel. I would say average or slightly below.

Shockingly bad level of service by the room/ cleaning staff. I was staying for four nights. Left the room every morning and came back every day to an unmade room. Had to ask them to make up the room every evening! This is a luxury hotel? Had to ask for clean towels, toilet paper, etc. The manager should be fired. Aside from that, ok and as advertised.

No breakfast area or snack bar. Had to leave the hotel to get food. Bar doesn’t open until 4 pm. If you wanted an iced tea or soft drink you had a long walk to the drink dispenser. Not convenient for long stays,
