I was disappointed that they were doing maintenance on the indoor lazy river during my stay, but that happens. Other than that I really have nothing to complain about. I will absolutely look at future stays at Avista. Maybe next time I'll look at getting a suite, my partial ocean view was nice especially for the sunset but a full ocean view must be amazing as well. Staff was great. Breakfast at the restaurant was good (especially the home fries!). As a whole, would recommend!

Elevators were very quick, pool area had plenty of chairs, pools, food and drink available, beach area was close, free chairs between pool area and beach, fireworks on the beach 2 nights, life guard, music at pool-on speaker, dj or person playing steel drum. Great place to stay.

Staff was very nice. Pools and lazy river could stand a remodel. My dryer in room didn’t work which was a bit upsetting . I reported to staff downstairs and they put a work order in but nothing was done. Entertainment was great !

Parking was a hassle- had to go across the street to park my car to their garage. Would have been better if it was attached to the bldg. elevators were not working properly and taking us to the wrong floor even if we pushed the correct button. Food at the restaurant for dinner was mid and overpriced. Breakfast was amazing though so that was well worth the money! Staff was amazing. Beds were alright. Tub was a little stained and not white. Couch in room had cushions that were sinking in and uncomfortable.

The room was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The staff was very cordial and welcoming. The indoor and outdoor pool, lazy river and hot tub were a plus. This was my first visit, and we will definitely be back. The beach views were amazing.

Nice view of the ocean, close walk to the beach. Parking is across the street, that in itself sucks, but on top of it it’s real narrow, almost for got to mention how the entrance gets flooded. Room seems a little run down and smaller than I thought. I was giving this place the benefit of the doubt until on my last day I saw a roach.

Room was very clean. Had everything we needed. A couple members of the staff were rude, like when we had breakfast at the hotel the one staff member just pointed at a table and told us to set down and asked what we wanted to drink. The coffee was cold. When we checked in, we waited a few mins, then when it was finally our turn the attendent just turned and left, didnt say ill be right with you or even acknowledge us being there, then when we checked out she didnt ask how our stay was or anything. The person who did check us in was very nice and informative. And the ice rooms are disgusting! They stink, they are dirty, the trash cans had stuff splattered all over them. We went to a store and bought a small bag of ice. But all in all we were happy and loved being there. The pools and hot tubs were nice and plenty of area to lay in the sun and enjoy the warm weather. We will most likely stay there again.

Our room was clean and the bathroom spotless and in excellent condition, which is often not the case with beach rentals. Lots of amenities, which is to be expected at this price point and for a "resort", although we didn\'t utilize most of them. The breakfast was expensive, and since we had a small kitchen, we opted to make our own. I have three "complaints". First, there was a DJ playing music at the pool all afternoon. He and the music were both VERY loud, which we couldn\'t help but hear, even though we were on the 5th floor. But it was so loud, we didn\'t want to sit on our balcony while he was playing. Second, the A/C was very loud, and it appeared the thermostat was setup backwards, in that it display the setpoint NOT the actual temperature. (Never seen that before.) Third, I began discovering various itching "bites" on me the morning we left, which I determined to be bedbugs. This facility is a better fit for a family with kids, vs. the three us 60 year olds

The rooms were very nice but the bathrooms need a lot of help. There is no counter space in the bathrooms. You have a 30" vanity with a sink the size if a cereal bowl. You have enough space and could change out the vanity top with a longer one so you can place things on there.

Entire property is old - desperate in need of renovations. Beds in unit were old spring mattress. Incredibly uncomfortable. Couch was sagging in middle, needs replacing. Internet was spotty - continued to buffer. Safety was a concern. Gate on south side of pool was broken - could not close. Has a hole drilled in gate with a bicycle lock (so staff can lock at night???). We were sitting in pool area just after dark and strange individuals were walking into pool are from beach. *I brought this concern to management. Pools were nice, hot tubs were disgusting (both inside and outside). Have not been cleaned in AGES. Need a good power washing. No security staff were present, that we were able to see. Area is fairly nice, mostly residential homes. We walked nearly a mile in each direction to grab food at a local dive.

Off season visit. Nice one bedroom ocean front condo. Looks like it had recently been painted and several pieces of new furniture. This unit is advertised to sleep 6, which it will, but the spacious bathroom only has one small vanity when it has ample space for a larger 2 sink unit. We were only a party of two, and I wouldn't want to have any more than that in this unit. Small but usable kitchen. Entry doors are very heavy and slam loudly when closing. That being said we enjoyed our stay.

Loved the room (oceanfront 1bdrm king suite) it was spacious and clean. Check in/out was a breeze. It’s fun for the whole family. I do recommend a bigger tv in the bedroom and the couch to be a bit more comfortable. Overall great experience 10/10 I highly recommend.

This place is a rip off. The rooms are much smaller than advertised. Ours had a murphy bed but when you get to the room you can't even open it without having to put furniture out onto the balcony. The counter is so tiny you can literally make one sandwich on it and the beds were SO HARD. we asked to be moved to a bigger room and I was willing to pay more. The staff was not helpful, said they were completely booked but judging by the parking deck that was not real and we eventually had to get an airbnb across the street. The pool had no umbrellas and the place was a bit of a mess. I would not stay here again.

We stayed in December, which was cold, so we pretty much did everything inside. The hotel itself was decent for a few nights, and that's about it. An odd layout in the living area led me to think it wasn't fully thought through in planning & left us climbing over each other at least twice a day. The bed we slept in however, was strangely comfortable. The restaurant was good. The parking was in a garage across a busy highway & not safe to walk with excitable children. The pool area smelled funky & it wasn't warm. We thought maybe we'd contract something shady but fortunately, we didn't. Would we stay again, you ask? Chances are, no.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was great for our family of 5. It had a nice kitchenette and also a washer and dryer in the room which is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. We will definitely have to plan another stay there.

Resort is very clean and updated. The room was spacious and clean with plenty of towels. For 2 adults and 3 small children, there was enough room to move around. The furniture was a little outdated. The bad points: The TV did not work when we got in the room, maintenance came and fixed it. The Wi-Fi was intermittent and very slow. I went to cook on the small stove, and the 2 front burners did not work. Called the front desk, they said they would put in a ticket. Maintenance never showed up. I had to cook on the 2 back burners which were small for the bigger pans. One of the smoke detectors started beeping, called and maintenance came right up to put in new batteries. The vending machines are little overpriced for what you get for a snack. Overall, a nice place to stay, and I would go back.

Everyone from the front desk, pool bar, engineering/repairs to the cleaning staff were so wonderful and accommodating. We would have had a smooth stay but for a couple of hiccups/issues with one of the bathrooms and the dishwasher. However, once the showerhead/leak issue was communicated to the hotel, it was promptly resolved to our satisfaction. Bottom line is: they are very customer focused! We loved it there and will definitely be back!

Loved the amenities. Frank one of the porters did an outstanding job of helping us with our bags, explaining how to get from tower to tower, which can be tricky and helped direct me out of a tight parking spot. The tech guys were wonderful with the tv issue with staff responding quickly and efficiently. Everyone was super friendly. Would highly recommend this place.

Everything was nice . My only complaint is being harassed after checking in by sales people trying to get us to buy timeshare. They wouldn’t take no for an answer . I did not appreciate it and it made me very uncomfortable and stressed !

We checked ou today. Not one complaint! All the staff were excellent , from the front desk on . Special shut outs for Kathy, Ashley and Brian. Bryan and Cornelius , also Kevin at the outside bar. Every request was met. Our six day stay couldn’t have been better. Our waiter the first night was great and the meatloaf delish! Keep up the good work ! Hats off to HR!

Horrible stay this time even though previous times were great. Front desk and manager were horrible. We arrived later afternoon after an 8 hour drive and with our 8 month pregnant daughter. She was understandably tired and wanted to rest. When we arrived fire alarm was sounding and fire truck was there. Truck left. Alarm was muted somewhat until we got to our floor (16th) and our room where it was blaring. We were unable to stay in room. Went to lobby and asked to switch rooms after we were told that the alarms were only going off on certain floors, mine being one of them. This lasted for 3-4 hours. They would not switch us to another room. I explained that my daughter needed rest. There were others in the lobby also with small children who could not sleep in their rooms either because they were impacted also. I asked to speak to manager and she just kept saying they were working on it but promised me she would compensate me in some way for this major inconvenience. After 4 hours (9pm) of this it was finally turned off and the manager says she’d reach out to me the next day. Then at 2am the power went out in the hotel for 2-3 hours. It was suffocating in the room. We couldn’t sleep my daughter was crying because she was so exhausted and alarms were sounding everywhere. Sentry front desk. They were rude and showed no empathy. I realize outside of hotel’s control but we were frustrated. We never heard from any manager and no one asked me how my visit was at checkout.

I thought the resort was very nice , room was ok . Tv was very old .. it had 3 different remotes like from the 1990s lol . Beds were comfortable, don’t recommend the breakfast Buffett over priced and wasn’t good at all . But the staff was very nice in restaurant. Beach and pool are great!

It was a good experience overall. Staff were ready and available to accommodate, the food at the tree top lounge was excellent and the drinks at the sandbar were really good. It was so nice to be so close to the ocean.

Great resort, service, amenities and location. Good drinks, food was just okay. I didn't appreciate being pressured in the lobby by the aggressive folks trying to get me to give up a few hours of my precious vacation to attend a vacation/timeshare presentation. Other than that, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

We visited for our Anniversary. The restaurant was the absolute best part of our (bay)cation! We ate there breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The waitstaff along with the cooks made our Anniversary special. The front desk was not warm and inviting. She did not acknowledge us upon arrival. We stood there and waited. She didn't say ,"I'll be right there", or even "Welcome". The parking attendee was even friendly.
