My family is large enough (15) that I had to rent 2 Vrbos,The Loft of Riley and Captain's House. They were about a mile apart. The Loft of Riley was perfect for us to use as our base for meals and beach access during the day. It is a beautiful beach home with a spectacular view and easy beach access. Also, we had access to beach toys, boogie boards, wood for fires on the beach in the evening, etc. It is a bit pricey but well worth it!! I would rent it again in a heartbeat.

So impressive. We had such a fantastic stay. Six adults. Four children three and under. The property might be more easily suited to children a bit older but we made it work and work well. The only thing that might help would be if the light in the loft could also be controlled in the loft rather than at the bottom of the spiral staircase. A screen or door up there might also be helpful. Light from below seemed to be distracting. But these might be unique to us. One of the sleepers up there is an ICU doc so she has extreme blackout curtains in her house in Charleston. Our houses are craftsman, transitional and more mid century style. Your glorious contemporary home with its generous living area, great dining space and glorious views was so special for us. We all love to cook and found so much to enjoy in the kitchen. Beach access was terrific. And I have been informed of late so the ramp was very appreciated. Linens and sundries were all lovely. I appreciate the detail. Thank you for such a lovely experience. Hope to do it again. I know my daughter already gave you a quick reply. Hope you won’t mind a second.

This property was absolutely perfect. We were blown away when we walked in the door. We really enjoyed the ocean views, quick access to the beach, and a cozy fireplace. The host was very responsive to our questions, answering within a couple minutes. I will definitely take my family back here. Thank you so much for a perfect trip.

This was our second stay at Loft of Riley. Again, excellent amenities, view, and privacy. We experienced a lot of rain, but the ample supply of firewood made for a very cozy stay despite the inclement weather. We experienced a heating problem in the casita, but the hosts were right on the problem and corrected it quickly. My brother stayed here two months earlier and also enjoyed the fireplace during a rainy period. My wife now is planning getaway here in April with several of her friends. They will enjoy the well-equipped kitchen and the proximity to Stefanie Inn and Anna's Table.

The location is magnificent with scenery like a Hollywood movie. The house is loaded with conveniences and everything to anything you need is there plus more. Enjoyed the wood fireplace and spectacular living room views of the ocean. My family enjoyed the stay and will always remember our visit here.

This is hands down the best place we have ever stayed (and we stay places a lot)! Communication with host was quick and pleasant and helpful, the place was crazy clean, there were plenty of blankets and firewood for stormy nights, and even a backup plan if power went out! Plenty of space for all of us and the little studio was a perfect set up for making space for couples and family. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were well equipped and great…. And then you just walk out the front door and go on a long walk on a beautiful beach! I mean come on… seriously best place we’ve been and I cannot wait to visit again!

The kitchen was very well equipped for gourmet cooking. All accessable and good quality. The views are specular and it's not unusual to see seals, whales and resident pelicans surfing the air above the waves. And nature gifted us nights of wind and rain to put us to sleep and big surf viewing during the day with blue skies. Our rooms were tidy and clean and the guest bath had heated floors and the mater bath was huge with heated towel rack. It was our 55 wedding anniversary and we could not have found a more delightful place to stay with friends, family and our toy Schnauzer Inky. And our host was caring and professional. Tom & Penny

The view, house and grounds could not have been better! Our group was multi-generational, spanning ages from 17-80 (parents, grandparents and grandchildren). The beds were all very comfortable. The kitchen was very well set-up (Keurig, great cookware and appliances, nice supply of dishes, glasses and silverware). Just when I thought I wouldn't be able to find an item I was searching for, I would open another cabinet and find it! We cooked every meal at the house, because we knew we would not find a restaurant with a better view! The bathrooms are set up nicely...love the heated floors and mirrors! We appreciated the prompt response/communication from Kris. We enjoyed walking north to Hug Point and south to Arch Cape Creek. Such a great place!

We loved every minute of our stay. The property was immaculate, well stocked, and comfortable for our three generations. No view could possibly be better. We felt like we had a private beach with breathtaking scenery at both ends. Host was so helpful- we tried to do everything recommended, but ran out of days, as we were making our way to Bandon Dunes. Coming all the way from Cincinnati as first time visitors, our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. Out of thousands of options along the Oregon Coast, we all felt like it was literally the perfect choice!
We loved every minute of our stay. The property was immaculate, well stocked, and comfortable for our three generations. No view could possibly be better. We felt like we had a private beach with breathtaking scenery at both ends. Host was so helpful- we tried to do everything recommended, but ran out of days, as we were making our way to Bandon Dunes. Coming all the way from Cincinnati as first time visitors, our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. Out of thousands of options along the Oregon Coast, we all felt like it was literally the perfect choice!

My wife and I have stayed at dozens of the nicer vacation rentals in the US. With all things considered, this one is in the top two or three. Features that really stuck out included the privacy, view, easy access to the very walkable beach, modern remodeling, amazingly well-stocked kitchen, high-quality appliances, plentiful firewood, cleanliness (including the view windows), everything worked, closeness to Cannon Beach and excellent restaurants, and ample, comfortable outdoor seating. The beds were somewhat small and low, but adequate. Overall, this is a great place.

Wonderful and well appointed, the Loft of Riley was spacious, clean, and comfortable. You are right on the beach with giant picture windows looking directly onto the beach and ocean. We loved watching the moody Oregon weather and getting out to the beach to play fetch! Thank you for a spectacular ocean getaway! Hope to return!

Our stay was absolutely everything we hoped for and more. You can genuinely tell the love and effort that goes into this property. Such beautiful views, everything is very well kept up, very clean, and the host, Kris, was incredibly kind as well. All of the guests were very impressed with the home - I got kudos all week for booking it! Best property I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. Absolutely recommend it and hope to be back soon!

Our recent stay at Loft of Riley in Arch Cape was nothing short of amazing! The views—both inside and out—were off the charts. A true front-row seat to the stunning Oregon Coast.We booked this home as a getaway to bring our family together (7 of us total), and it was absolutely perfect. Everyone had their own private space, yet there was so much room for all of us to gather in the open living, dining, and kitchen area. It was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed.We cooked every night and were blown away by how well-stocked the kitchen was—everything we needed was there, including plenty of spices and every utensil or pan we could want. No detail was overlooked.The home itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and so welcoming. Communication with the host was excellent—she even checked in during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed (which we absolutely did!).And as a family who travels with our pup, the fact that the home is pet-friendly was the icing on the cake.This house and its incredible location are at the very top of our list—we will absolutely be back!

Our family has been enjoying the Oregon coast since we moved to Portland 11 years ago, and we have visited Arch Cape and Cannon Beach many times. The Loft of Riley is without question one of the very best beach houses we've ever stayed in! From the superbly equipped & stocked kitchen, to the majestic and unrivaled ocean views from the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, it was a perfect home to introduce the coast to my step mother and sister visiting from Florida. It was clear from the moment we arrived that tons of TLC has been invested in this home to ensure that guests have a 5-star experience. Every detail was as advertised and in place, -- and in some cases exceeded our expectations. Even some very rainy weather for several days was powerless to intrude on a wonderful start-to-finish experience, aided by the very welcome wood-burning fireplace and the bountiful supply of wood. All in all, our entire group had a fabulous experience.

From the superbly equipped & stocked kitchen, to the majestic and unrivaled ocean views from the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, it was a perfect home to introduce the coast to my step mother and sister visiting from Florida. It was clear from the moment we arrived that tons of TLC has been invested in this home to ensure that guests have a 5-star experience. Every detail was as advertised and in place, -- and in some cases exceeded our expectations. Even some very rainy weather for several days was powerless to intrude on a wonderful start-to-finish experience, aided by the very welcome wood-burning fireplace and the bountiful supply of wood. All in all, our entire group had a fabulous experience.

There are no words to describe how breathtakingly beautiful this house (and the views) are. My family of four (plus our dog), my parents and my in-laws stayed for 5 days of pure awesomeness. Wonderful wrap around deck to enjoy the sunsets over the ocean or sit inside and play one of the numerous board games provided and enjoy the sunset from the huge floor to ceiling windows. Path to the beach is right through the backyard making morning strolls or sunset walks with your 4-legged friend a breeze. Best part is the ease of check in with the instructions provided by the owner and quick responses to any questions. You can tell the owners take pride in their property and have a strong desire to make sure everyone that visits has a wonderful time. The view, house and grounds could not have been better! Our group was multi-generational, spanning ages from 17-80 (parents, grandparents and grandchildren). The beds were all very comfortable. The kitchen was very well set-up (Keurig, great cookware and appliances, nice supply of dishes, glasses and silverware). Just when I thought I wouldn't be able to find an item I was searching for, I would open another cabinet and find it! We cooked every meal at the house, because we knew we would not find a restaurant with a better view! The bathrooms are set up nicely...love the heated floors and mirrors! We appreciated the prompt response/communication from Kris. We enjoyed walking north to Hug Point and south to Arch Cape Creek. Such a great place!

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful beach house! The easy access to the beach made it perfect for our trip, and we loved spending time in the kitchen and living room with the large windows overlooking the ocean. This was our second stay at Loft of Riley. Again, excellent amenities, view, and privacy. We experienced a lot of rain, but the ample supply of firewood made for a very cozy stay despite the inclement weather. We experienced a heating problem in the casita, but the hosts were right on the problem and corrected it quickly. My brother stayed here two months earlier and also enjoyed the fireplace during a rainy period. My wife now is planning getaway here in April with several of her friends. They will enjoy the well-equipped kitchen and the proximity to Stefanie Inn and Anna's Table.

This is hands down the best place we have ever stayed (and we stay places a lot)! Communication with host was quick and pleasant and helpful, the place was crazy clean, there were plenty of blankets and firewood for stormy nights, and even a backup plan if power went out! Plenty of space for all of us and the little studio was a perfect set up for making space for couples and family. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were well equipped and great…. And then you just walk out the front door and go on a long walk on a beautiful beach! I mean come on… seriously best place we’ve been and I cannot wait to visit again!

The kitchen was very well equipped for gourmet cooking. All accessable and good quality. The views are specular and it's not unusual to see seals, whales and resident pelicans surfing the air above the waves. And nature gifted us nights of wind and rain to put us to sleep and big surf viewing during the day with blue skies. Our rooms were tidy and clean and the guest bath had heated floors and the mater bath was huge with heated towel rack. It was our 55 wedding anniversary and we could not have found a more delightful place to stay with friends, family and our toy Schnauzer Inky. And our host was caring and professional. Tom & Penny

Loft of Riley was as we expected - stellar location, privacy, and well-appointed, comfortable house. The view can’t be beat, and private path to the beach is a plus. It was nice to be away from the crowds in Cannon Beach, but have the amenities there easily accessible. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was well stocked. The heated bathroom floors felt great on the cool days we were there, and we also appreciated the nice quality bedding and towels. We didn’t want to leave such a serene spot! And to top it off, Kris was great to work with. A+++!

This is just such a lovely place to visit. I wish we could have stayed longer. The view is just breathtaking. The path down to the beach is so convenient. We went on many walks on the beach. I could sit on the deck and watch and listen to the waves all day. The house was really well equipped. It was like a friend let you stay at their home. The heated bathroom floors were a hit! I can’t say enough about how perfect the location is of Loft of Riley. Arch Cape is a quieter spot than Cannon Beach, so you really feel a sense of serenity and privacy. And the house itself is situated on a perfect location along this pristine stretch of coastline. The view of the ocean is center stage and the walk down to the beach is so easy. Steps away, so you can enjoy your morning coffee while you stroke on the beach. And the sunsets are always beautiful. The property also feels even more private among the natural landscape surrounding it. We have stayed at Loft of Riley a few times and it has stood the test of time, feeling well kept and well appointed every time. We also loved how thoughtfully stocked it was. Drinks and snacks in the fridge, coffee and flavored creamer! It was such a nice touch, and it lets you just enjoy the house without worrying about having to get to the store day one. The location is magnificent with scenery like a Hollywood movie. The house is loaded with conveniences and everything to anything you need is there plus more. From the superbly equipped & stocked kitchen, to the majestic and unrivaled ocean views from the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, it was a perfect home to introduce the coast to my step mother and sister visiting from Florida. It was clear from the moment we arrived that tons of TLC has been invested in this home to ensure that guests have a 5-star experience. Every detail was as advertised and in place, -- and in some cases exceeded our expectations. Even some very rainy weather for several days was powerless to intrude on a wonderful start-to-finish experience, aided by the very welcome wood-burning fireplace and the bountiful supply of wood. All in all, our entire group had a fabulous experience.

I can’t say enough about how perfect the location is of Loft of Riley. Arch Cape is a quieter spot than Cannon Beach, so you really feel a sense of serenity and privacy. And the house itself is situated on a perfect location along this pristine stretch of coastline. The view of the ocean is center stage and the walk down to the beach is so easy. Steps away, so you can enjoy your morning coffee while you stroke on the beach. And the sunsets are always beautiful. The property also feels even more private among the natural landscape surrounding it. We have stayed at Loft of Riley a few times and it has stood the test of time, feeling well kept and well appointed every time. We also loved how thoughtfully stocked it was. Drinks and snacks in the fridge, coffee and flavored creamer! It was such a nice touch, and it lets you just enjoy the house without worrying about having to get to the store day one. We can’t wait to return!

Excellently equipped kitchen! We stayed in and cooked and it was wonderful. Better equipped than my own home! Everything was as shown in the listing. Top loft was definitely “kid sized”, but our 20 year old “kids” managed just fine.

This was a stunning property for a quick weekend getaway for my husband’s birthday. We lucked out with weather and got to enjoy the deck for a few great sunsets. The house was well furnished and had a great kitchen with everything we needed for dinners at home. We hope to return!

The kitchen was very well equipped for gourmet cooking. All accessable and good quality. The views are specular and it's not unusual to see seals, whales and resident pelicans surfing the air above the waves. And nature gifted us nights of wind and rain to put us to sleep and big surf viewing during the day with blue skies. Our rooms were tidy and clean and the guest bath had heated floors and the mater bath was huge with heated towel rack. It was our 55 wedding anniversary and we could not have found a more delightful place to stay with friends, family and our toy Schnauzer Inky. And our host was caring and professional. Tom & Penny

The house was perfect for a fantastic long weekend with my children, their spouses and my adorable grand babies. We made the most of the well-equipped kitchen and roaring fires, which set the stage for lots of laughs and love.

The view, house and grounds could not have been better! Our group was multi-generational, spanning ages from 17-80 (parents, grandparents and grandchildren). The beds were all very comfortable. The kitchen was very well set-up (Keurig, great cookware and appliances, nice supply of dishes, glasses and silverware). Just when I thought I wouldn't be able to find an item I was searching for, I would open another cabinet and find it! We cooked every meal at the house, because we knew we would not find a restaurant with a better view! The bathrooms are set up nicely...love the heated floors and mirrors! We appreciated the prompt response/communication from Kris. We enjoyed walking north to Hug Point and south to Arch Cape Creek. Such a great place!

Location is amazing and the home had everything we needed/wanted for our family of 8. We practically had a private beach to ourselves, and loved spending time exploring the sea life - lots of starfish, sand dollars, tidepools and a beautiful stretch to walk/watch the sunset. Highly recommend!

My stay at Loft of Riley was magical! The weather was gorgeous and the experience couldn’t have been more perfect. I’m a retired interior designer, not only was everything beautifully designed, the home was filled with thoughtful details and high end appliances and cookware. Honestly one of the nicest VRBO’s I’ve stayed in! The location, view and beach were unbelievable. My new favorite beach on the Oregon coast, I will definitely be back with family and friends! This is a wonderful house and location. Our family with 2 young grandsons and 2 good dogs had every thing we needed for a perfect spring break stay: expansive beach view, immediate beach access, comfy beds and furniture, amazing kitchen, and a magic loft with spiral staircase for the kids. The house and casita are beautifully decorated and furnished. We loved having an EV charger on site. The host was welcoming, helpful and responsive tho we didn't need to contact her during our stay. Location midway between Manzanita and Cannon Beach was great, 10 or so minutes to either town. We will be back!

This house was everything! Such incredible views, super close to the beach and this house was stocked with EVERYTHING you need for your stay. Krista was so nice and accommodating and made checking so easy. RENT THIS SPOT!!! You won’t regret it. 10/10 will come back!
