Our room was great, with a beautiful balcony overlooking the city. We chose this location due to the proximity of the train station and the available self service laundry. The desk does not provide coins, so be sure the have some with you. I think it was 4chf for washer and about the same for the dryer. Breakfast was not included and seemed expensive even for Switzerland, we walked a block to a lovely coffee shop.

The property was well located, very modern and in good condition. We had a room with views to the lake. The reception staff were very attentive and very willing to help. A great breakfast was available. The hotel also has laundry facilities. If you have a car book ahead for parking. The only negative was the lack of power points which made it difficult to charge accessories or use a hair dryer. Would stay again.

Easily located at the end of the train station platforms. Staff were very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. Had a laundry if you needed it. It was a short walk from the hotel into the town centre and restaurants.

De l'extérieur, le bâtiment est très engageant, moderne et de bon goût. Mais une fois à l'intérieur... Le personnel d'accueil ne parle qu'anglais, la chambre n'était pas conforme à la réservation, l'espace petit déjeuner à un look de cantine, la déco des chambres, déjà spartiates a été faite a minima, les couloirs ressemblent plus à un logement de vacances qu'à un hôtel, le garage n'était pas accessible faute de badges. Il y aurait de quoi proposer un logement exceptionnel mais la réalité en est bien loin. Où est l'inspiration de Freddie Mercury dont l'hôtel se réclame? A éviter...

Bon hôtel, mobilier simple mais fonctionnel, petit réfrigérateur et cafetière à dosette dans la chambre. Serviettes et dessus de lit avec broderie signature de Freddie Mercury. Nombreuses photos du chanteur dans les parties communes. Parking payant mais très pratique. Seul dommage le personnel ne parlait pas français mais était très sympathique.

Hotel tres propre. Chambre agréable et propre. Lit confortable. Proximité du bord de l'eau et de la navette ( bateau ). STATIONNEMENT interieur ( toute une experience avec l'ascenseur de voiture). Quelques restaurants à proximité, un café boulangerie tout prés .Seul bémol la gare mais assez bien insonorisé et avec le lit , on s' endort facilement.

Very convenient location with just a few minutes walking to the train station via the platform #1. While the rail road is next to the hotel it is surprisingly very quiet inside. Breakfast was somewhat disappointed, tasteless. It was nice that the hotel offered the city pass, that was very convenient for using a public transportation completely free! We would stay there again.

The location is great. You can actually walk right off Platform 1 of the train station and into the hotel. It’s a little off the main street so you do hear the train a little but better than hearing people in restaurants and such. Only a few min walk to the water and stores/cafes. The room was spacious. The staff were super friendly and the self-service laundry was a nice amenity to have.

Curtain dirty, No spare loo paper. When contacted reception we were told it will be delivered to room in 5 Minutes. Did not arrive before we left half an hour later. One soap dispenser was empty .

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Spotlessly clean. We were travelling by train and the proximity to Montreux Train station was excellent. Walk to the end of Platform 1 and you are there. We hope to come back again one day.

The room was quite good. Cleaning was not very good. Towels weren’t replaced. Shower drain blocked due to hair in it. Kettle leaked but was replaced when requested. Had to request toilet paper after 2 days as it wasn’t replaced. Overall ok but cleanliness left a bit to be desired.

Helpful front desk staff, but room smelt bad on entry, had to open windows to remove this. Windows had to be shut when time to sleep as constant very loud train noise, this continued even with the windows shut. Bad night sleep as a result. Good location for Christmas market etc but take into account the train noise when booking.

I was disappointed with this hotel. The ratings said that it was superb, however there was nothing superb about this hotel. It's was not clean and the furniture was below average. The price doesn't match the offering.

Very new! Large rooms were very clean. Check-in awesome. Maria very helpful. Maria had a good knowledge of neighbourhood including restaurants. Very close to train station. Be sure to walk to it along the rail way platform. If you listen to Google, it takes you to the street and then you have to walk up hill.

Good location and parking - albeit complicated. Rooms very basic - very few plugs/ no mirror to dry hair for example/ no bedside table or even a lamp or even access to light switch ! I fell at night looking for one!!

We didn’t read reviews until after booking and so I was a bit apprehensive about the stay. We arrived quite late but fortunately hotel is at the end of Platform 1. Checked in and given a Montreux Travel Card which offer local transport/discounts etc. plenty of Freddie photos downstairs. We were in room 321 our room was large with plenty of storage and a safe. No a/c but a fan but it wasn’t a hot night. Quiet room, bed was memory foam but I slept well. Bathroom was large and a good shower. We didn’t have breakfast as reviews had put me off.

Posizione comoda x raggiungere velocemente il centro. Nonostante sia direttamente in stazione risulta molto silenzioso. Camera spaziosa , letto molto comodo. Avrei apprezzato canali della televisione anche nella mia lingua ( solo 3 canali disponibili ma effettivamente non visibili) e anche kit per la doccia ( cuffia x capelli)

A localização do hotel é perfeita. Fica no passeio na estação de trem. Quarto muito confortável, inclusive com vista para o lago, no 5 andar. O chuveiro é ótimo: ducha forte e quente. Mas tenho duas coisas a considerar: 1- não tem ar condicionado. Nem ventilador. Apesar de estarmos em maio, estava quente e desconfortável durante a noite. Fico imaginando no verão.... 2 - ausência total de tomadas no banheiro e, aquelas que estão no quarto, ou ficam atrás da cama ou abaixo da mesa da televisão. Péssimo acesso.

The Freddie Mercury Hotel is a convenient stop in Montreux, almost adjacent to the train station. The staff are quite hospitable, and this building also houses (literally) a Hospitality School. …which is why some things were surprising. Poorly designed room with no/few outlets, weird room layout, no reading lamps, limited toiletries, no area rugs, difficult hotel layout and a very average breakfast made for a less than easy stay. We were in the “best” suite with a view of the lake and mountains and a nice balcony…but little else. The hospitality school could do a study project on this suite as far as layout and conveniences for their guests! But lots of great Freddie Mercury memorabilia and within walking distance to most everything. Montreux is a delightful city otherwise!

The hotel is a short walk from the train station. However, to get to the hotel you have to walk up a steep hill. If we had known this we would have gotten a taxi. The lobby was very nice. It is contemporary with a lot of Freddy Mercury photos. Check in was easy although the girl did not understand much English. Then the room...we were shocked when we walked into the room. My first thought was "this is just a step up from a hostel." It is bare bones. Two twin beds, one little lamp, no dresser or closet and one outlet. (There was another outlet under the counter but I didn't feel like crawling under.) There isn't an outlet in the bathroom so to dry your hair you do it sitting on the bed. But there is no mirror in the bedroom. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable but it certainly was not what we were expecting!

Very convenient location right on the train station platform. It was a very small room and sparsely appointed. (No wash cloths, 1/2 roll of toilet paper, etc.) However, we requested a fan, extra pillows, a bowl of ice, and all were promptly provided. Great service! Beautiful rooftop dining area. Would recommend for brief visits. We were there two nights.

Although my GPS took me out of the rail station and on a 7 min walk on two streets in the rain…I realized the next morning I could have walked for two minutes without ever leaving the train station. You just continue to walk towards a tall glass building at the end of Gleis1 and there you will find yourself at the hotel. Enjoyed viewing all the old photos of Freddie Mercury in the hotel lobby. When we entered our room and discovered one overhead light and one desk light were out, the front desk person immediately had a maintenance person replace the bulbs while we were out to dinner. Preventing us from changing rooms….I would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting the best railway station location…so convenient. Found the staff efficient and caring.

We thought the proximity to the station would be ideal as we were travelling with suitcases, and whilst the noise from the trains didn't bother us it was the noise from the neighbourhood that was unbearable. There was a lot of shouting and screaming late into the night. Up checkin we were advised that we could purchase breakfast for CHF20 or pay on the day CHF25. We elected to see first and then pay. When we arrived we were advised that the cook was too busy to cook eggs and therefore it was just a continental breakfast. That is very expensive for a continental breakfast and we decided not to stay! Even though we reserved a double room we were originally given a twin room - normally we wouldn't object if it was a twin bed, however it was 2 single beds located on opposite sides of the room. When we complained they did change rooms but at an additional cost of CHF20 per night. We certainly won't recommend this hotel to anyone in the future.

Room smelt off, paid a lot of money but didn’t get value for money. Felt like a budget hotel, no iron in the room, safe was broken, phone line wasn’t working. Extremely hot in the room with no A/C. We arrived early, the suitcase storage room was full so staff said we need to leave suitcases in reception, bearing in mind students were walking in and out constantly it didn’t feel safe to do so, so had to carry our bags everywhere with us until check in opened. No EU/USB charging sockets. Felt very daited

Not noted in the hotel description, but the front door literally opens onto platform 1 of the tain station. For those travelling by train this is a major bonus as Montreux is an extremely hilly city. Our room was on the top floor offering a great view off a large patio of Lake Geneva. Very comfy beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy walking distance to the waterfront for stores and restaraunts.

This hotel is very convenient. You exit tge train and walk to the hotel on platform one. Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the lake and city from the terrace and were the only ones there.!! Breakfast is not included and cost Fr.18 ($22) We chose to walk to the Migro supermarket about 8 minutes down near the lake to get our yogurt and fruit instead. The staff were very friendly and helpful from the minute of our arrival.

Ideally located for train travellers - you can access it straight from the end of platform 1. Quiet and clean with friendly and helpful staff and positioned just 2 minutes up hill from the lake, it was perfect for our needs. The only downsides for us were the breakfast (not good and extremely expensive) and the fact that our quad room had a shared balcony with another room and only 3 chairs on it.

Praktische Lage, nahe beim Bahnhof. Zimmer sind praktisch aber lieblos eingerichtet. Frühstück ist eher minimal, kein richtiges Brot, nur Toast, keinen richtigen Käse. Restaurant schön, aber es herrscht Totenstille, man hört nur den Toaster quietschen. Wie wäre es mit Musik von Queen, wenn man sich schon Freddie Mercury Hotel nennt?
